I threw one of the items away immediately as it stunk of chemicals, but otherwise the rest of the pieces were silly and adorable. They are a little ill-fitting for Sir Mix a Lot blessed people such as myself but nothing too terrible. All in all, I probably would not buy from Agent Provocateur again but i wasn't mad at what I received and the quality was worth about what I paid at the sale price.

I brought my dress that was too small for a reference because it was just too small in my breast area. I also brought in the dress that I'm wearing to the wedding that is one size up. That's absolutely too big on me. It's a corset top dress from house of CB. I brought the smaller one as a reference, thinking it would help them. Because I requested to try that on for the woman who is tailoring the dress so she could see how it's supposed to fit... but the owner threw a tantrum and told me he would not do it. I never was treated so terribly by anyone in any establishment like this before. He snapped and threw a tantrum because I wanted to show the woman tailoring the dress. What a psychotic control freak. My sister gets all her items tailored there. She's a dancer. I walked in and was shocked how filthy that place was. I'm stunned this place has any stars. The fact the women on the phone told me to come in and they would do it same day is crazy. The next day, I went to another shop in Santa Monica and happily spent over $400 in the company of a kind, attentive shopkeeper - who actually assumed I was a medium and recommended M and L sizes. I don't know why Luxe Lingerie they would run someone out of the shop this way. I know my own (pear-shaped) body type and can tell what will work for me. Even if I were XL or larger, that would become evident on its own and I wouldn't need a storekeeper preemptively telling me that I'm too big to shop there. So, 1) a warning that L is the largest size here. 2) a warning that they may make assumptions about your body size and tell you to shop elsewhere. In response to the owner's comment on 7/26: I would like to reiterate that I was NOT measured at Luxe Lingerie! There is nothing wrong with being a larger size. The part that confused me is that they looked at me and made an assumption. Notice that their response overall corroborates my story. I was scanned visually and deemed too large to shop there. I was wearing a dress that has a flowy fit. An alternative strategy would have been to measure me, or to ask what size I am wearing/usually wear. Being ushered out of a store before receiving any service is not OK. Frankly, being a woman of color shopping in Beverly Hills, it is a sensitive matter. I went shopping as recently as yesterday and purchased clothes in sizes Medium and Large -- the same size I purchased at another lingerie store on the SAME day. I did not find another store and purchase an XL or larger as they are implying (though again, nothing against wearing larger sizes!).
