If I could give this place negative stars I would. I was told to come in over the phone as they said they do same day tailoring. I brought my dress that was too small for a reference because it was just too small in my breast area. I also brought in the dress that I'm wearing to the wedding that is one size up. That's absolutely too big on me. It's a corset top dress from house of CB. I brought the smaller one as a reference, thinking it would help them. Because I requested to try that on for the woman who is tailoring the dress so she could see how it's supposed to fit... but the owner threw a tantrum and told me he would not do it. I never was treated so terribly by anyone in any establishment like this before. He snapped and threw a tantrum because I wanted to show the woman tailoring the dress. What a psychotic control freak. My sister gets all her items tailored there. She's a dancer. I walked in and was shocked how filthy that place was. I'm stunned this place has any stars. The fact the women on the phone told me to come in and they would do it same day is crazy. It took me a hour to get there they literally not only wasted my time but the man was an absolute nightmare rude control freak. Cool little shop with a history in Hollywood. Id give them 5 stars but both times ive been in there, were odd. I didn't feel comfortable at all which makes shopping awkward and not fun. While the clothes are lovely, I didn't find anything that fit the way I wanted. While getting re-dressed the owner accused my friend and I of coming in "just to have fun" in a hostile tone. The clothing was really cute but it was all "one size fits all" which basically just means unless you're a size small or MAYBE medium, then nothing here is going to fit you. The accessories were cute still , but just really disappointing in terms of clothing size range. I was originally going to put 2 stars but because of the workers, they made the experience a bit better, especially one of the female workers. She was very sweet and helped me as best she could. The prices were also pretty pricey. I was going to buy some hand gloves but they were like $20, when the same ones next door were like $6. I was really looking forward to getting an outfit for a rave here and would have spend as much $$ as I could have but they didn't have anything above size M to be honest. Sad. And it's also in Hollywood, which, if ur from the area, you know there's a large homeless population and bad parking. So also be wary of that. read more

It's a rundown place but that's obvious, I'm my opinion those places have a 80s charm to them in that sense. Yes!!! This place is amazing!!! They literally have everything with great prices. They have about 5 fitting rooms and are easy to find on Hollywood Blvd. There is metered street parking so no private lot unfortunately but if you're looking for something specific like I was, you can literally be in and out in minutes. The customer service is great! The employees take their time with each customer to help them find what they need. One day I was in there at Least an hour looking for a Halloween costume and the girl was still super helpful and patient. They also will CUSTOMIZE what you need of they don't have it available! I have been here twice and the experience was great both times. I highly recommend Stage Hollywood! It's such a perfect costume store; especially if you are professional dancer looking for fun costumes or audition wardrobe. I've been coming here for years. I've never had an issue with the owner(s) or whoever, until the other day. To make a long, bummer of a story short, the man with lighter colored eyes followed me around for the first time I've ever ( I have been coming here for 5+ years). I'm not sure if he didn't recognize me because my hair was different, although that would be super* hard because my MANY tattoos (and face are pretty distinguishable). he was on my ass the whole time, which made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. When I went to try on some tops....he sat right outside my dressing room. I've tried on tops there many times, and that was a first. Its sucks because I like this store, especially their west asian inspired clothing + accessories. He was super rude when I asked him why he was acting weird to me that day. It's weird because that grumpy man is usually sweet to me, and I use to say a quiet prosperity prayer for his store every time I leave. It's usually the other, more tan man who is usually the grumpy one.... and ironically he (the usual grumpy one) looked at me with compassion. Did I go on Opposite Day?! lol I don't like that I wont be able to give them my business anymore. Myself, As a small business owner, I would never treat a recurrent client like garbage . When I entered I smiled and said hello, I was met with an ugly mug and no response and I was also followed around the store. I went to ask a question and he was very rude "What do you want?" Black customers shop here if you want to feel uncomfortable, specifically the older man with the white hair. Michael and his team did a great job in getting me a custom bikini for my bikini competition! He was quick, efficient and got me in for a final free alteration before the show! I don't know why I keep checking the other Hollywood Blvd shops for gogo/rave wear. I always end up at the tail-end of a draining couple of hours, back at Stage Hollywood (Je T'aime... the sign out front says Stage Hollywood tho), breathing a sigh of relief and finding something perfect for my needs within 10 minutes. They make the best fluffies/furries on the street, for the best price. They will custom make them for you as well, to whatever measurements you need, in any kind of fur. This goes for absolutely everything in their store... they'll custom-make or alter anything for you for a very reasonable (and sometimes no) fee. I've brought in things i've bought at other stores to have them alter/tailor - they are quick and they do quality work. The staff here is excellent. They know their products and their clientele. They can help you put together a great outfit from whatever barebones idea you have knocking around in your head. The lady who runs the place is so helpful and sweet every time i've come in. Same goes for the salesgirls they have working the floor and even the gentleman who does a lot of the tailoring work. They have good prices and a great set of clearance racks in the side room. They have all the accessories you could want: lashes, fishnets, gloves, garters, hair pieces, bows, flowers, feathers, masks, you name it - and if you don't see it, just ask - they will point you in the right direction or make one for you. GOGO DANCERS! This is the place to go!!! I've been dancing for 5 years and this is by far the best place to go. They have everything!! And if they don't have it or they don't have your size, they will alter and make custom pieces just for you! And their prices are reasonable and there are a LOT more choices with everything. Really bad customer service and attitude. The older guy here - English is his second language. I clearly described and showed photos and even brought fabric in to make a dance competition costume. Told him "make the shorts form this fabric. The top needs to be black and not this fabric." And I selected the exact top from his store. We just needed to add a zipper to it. He says "I make you matching top." I said "no - no matching top. Black top." At least 3x and showed him a photo. He kept saying "matching top" but then finally he said "ok black top". He made the top matching anyway in the wrong fabric and got angry at me when I came to correct it. Also the shorts were unfinished. I came in a second time and the top was still not black and the shorts were still unfinished. I waited for them to finish them but noticed then the pockets were uneven. I was super nice about this but he got angry at me. His employees were shocked that he was being like this when they witnessed my order and saw it was their fault the order was wrong and the quality poor. To make matters worse he couldn't find the fabric I left which took me days to locate and asked me to come back tomorrow to get it. This guy is like the soup guy from Seinfeld. You get what you pay for, I guess. This place is cheap and the worst service I've ever seen. My entire school is going to stop going here over this. I was going to spend over $2000 here over the next month but now I'll do it somewhere else. read more

Great store on Hollywood Blvd. that sells stripper outfits and rave stuff too. They carry a small selection of stilettos too. The owner is quite nice, and i recognize him from coming here over the span of many years. This is probably my second favorite store on Hollywood Blvd., after Playmates. The reason I'm giving one less star because the sales girl was literally following me and my cousin around the store, trying to act like she's busy doing something next to us- but we know she just is hawking us to make sure we are not shoplifting. I understand you may have an issue with shoplifters- but to literally trail us around the store, to make sure we don't steal- here's a tip: IT MAKES THE CUSTOMER WANT TO LEAVE AND NEVER COME BACK. It doesn't make the customer feel very valued at all, to treat us like we are criminals (even though i'm sure you're told to do that), when we are just there to look for a nice outfit and possibly give your store the business that is paying your wages. read more

So glad I found this place! This is a great place for pre-made wear but even better for custom made playa clothes and festival coats in time for burning man. Whew! Such a huge save! My friend and I found some really fun and bright pieces to spice up our outfits including a light-up bra and party pants. We also got some custom made light up coats with the exact color lights, length, and lining we wanted. They estimate to take 1 week but they got it done sooner. Customer service is great. I was feeling tired and a but overwhelmed by all the choices that go into preparing for burning man but the sales women there helped me pick stuff out that I really liked. They helped me make choices regarding measurements and fabrics too. Finally I'm feeling confident that I'm ready for the elements of the playa. I'm so excited! read more

When i needed to have a custom fur coat made for the Playa to keep me warm during the cold desert nights of Burning Man, I must tell everyone this is the place to go. This year when i needed to add pockets i didn't think of when i had the coat made, the owner gladly worked with me to accomplish this, for a very small amount. Yes it looks like the bulk of what they make is made up of sexy dancer wear, but Je Taime is able to work with customers to create custom clothing that is good for them, whether they pole dance or head off to Black Rock City. This is my go-to rave store. I love how there is literally EVERYTHING you would possibly wear at a festival here, from pasties to fluffies to jewels to lashes... you name it. Even when they don't have something your size, they can custom order it. You can even get your outfits customized. The man in the shop at the time took my 4 piece shirt alteration order (3 to be taken in at the waist, 1 with missing buttons) made a few suggestions to ensure proper fit, and had it done in 4 hours. All fit nicely, and was done for around $40. After losing 25lbs, It's like it have part of my wardrobe back! Will definitely be returning for my alterations in the future. read more

It's 10:38 AM, and they aren't even open. I came here to ask for a repair/exchange because upon trying on something I purchased, at home, immediately one of the decorations fell off. (And I paid over $40 for it, too). Now I drove all the way here for nothing... EDIT: Okay, so I got a smoothie across the street to #treatmyself since I essentially thought I drove all the way here for nothing; upon leaving the smoothie shop I saw that Stage Hollywood was now open. I went in and asked the guy and he said that they open "close to 11" so I guess he didn't realize that Yelp said otherwise. He said he would sew the decoration back on. Yay. But I actually found that when I had originally bought the item it was missing one decoration (so now it was missing two after another had fallen at home) - unfortunately they don't have any of the materials here and can't add anything new, they can only sew things back. Overall this place has a great selection of stuff for festivals, but be wary of the quality before you buy! Especially if you bought a top with dangling beads like I did.
