Worth a visit if you're near Medina! The drive here from Hondo is beautiful by the way. Warning- do not visit if you hate apples. Their pastries are so so good! The apple pie is good if you love filling- the filling to crust ratio is like 80:20. Their apple butter is great. I brought a jar of apple strawberry jam home for my mom and it's almost gone after a week. Their apple flavored coffee was also great! read more

This was a cute little stop for us! Friendly staff and AMAZING apple pie. I do not like pie, let alone apple pie, but my husband convinced me to try it and I'm glad he did. It was PACKED with apples, crispy and flakey crust. I enjoyed looking at the Knick knacks they were selling. Beautiful Christmas ornaments, I sadly didn't buy one and regret it but if you come by for the holidays, definitely buy one. Their ice cream is so good too. I wasn't sure about apple ice cream but man, delicious. If they weren't so far away, I'd come here again in a heartbeat. read more

The place will entice you with their good food and environment! We accidentally saw this on Google and since my husband loves Apple Pie we drove here to get some and we were not disappointed. Aside from Apple Pie that's fresh from the oven they offer some cookies, jam, peanuts, coffee made out of Apple, tea, and so on. You can check the pictures to see more. We bought Apple Pie and lasted less than a week and we are only two who's eating it. The place also have restaurant at the back where you can buy different menus. I am glad we found this place. We bumped into nice folks and they said when someone holding the white box (box of apple pie) they knew what it is and even gave us tip on how to reheat and take care of the pie while it's warm, since we bought it warm. Wow this Bakery is the hidden gem of Medina TX. The Sampler plate was fresh and some of the best chicken and tuna salad I have ever eaten. Let's not forget the fresh apples, they are delicious. The amazing Apple Store is open Monday-Saturday 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday 10 am to 5 pm. Their cute Patio Cafe is open Monday-Sunday 11 am to 3 pm. All year round the have specials and events, you can go to the website to check them out. The environment was fun, very chill and a great place to stop to have lunch with your friends. I will definitely be back when passing through Medina again and it's an experience you do not want to miss! read more

Surprisingly great food tucked away in the back of a quaint small-town store! I believe I got something called the SPJ Burger, and it was phenomenal. They clearly make their own buns (I deviated from my "no grains no dairy" diet for this meal, for sure :), and it wasn't too spicy. In fact, I wish I would have gotten the optional jalapeños on it! The ice cream was also great. They obviously make it themselves, because it's really fresh. Make sure you don't miss the hot apple cider topping that's located opposite the ice cream machine, and maybe consider picking up some of their pastries, pies or cookies, which all looked and smelled heavenly. My girlfriends and I came here after a weekend of primitive camping at Lost Maples, and it was a fabulous re-entry into civilization, haha. Don't miss it! read more

I've come to Love Creek Orchards during their Halloween pumpkin patch events. I love the entire experience from the drive to the orchards, the kind family that takes great care of you while you're there, and all of the activities you can do as a family! Oh, they also added tons of food trucks there and coffee options! I really enjoyed these amenities. But my absolute favorite part about Love Creek is THEIR APPLE ICE CREAM. I used to love coming here-my friend and I visit every November and look forward to the fresh baked goods, cheeseburgers, and your staff has always been incredibly sweet and helpful. However, during Thanksgiving break of 2020, we stopped on our way to our cabin to get a meal. We observed several people walking into the store-and out-without masks. My friend went in (masked) to find out if employees were masked and if so, we would order. She went in, came across a staff member without a mask, and asked if all of the employees were masked at the store, to which the woman replied, "sometimes," and then walked away. My friend went to the staff at the ordering counter and asked if they wore masks. The woman told her that she only has to wear a mask if she was talking to a customer. My friend said, "you're talking to me right now and you're not wearing one." The staff member then replied that Bandera County doesn't have any COVID cases so they're not required. Y'all are a tourist destination - has it not occurred to you that people will bring in COVID from outside the county?! How is that safe for your employees and customers? It's super disappointing that you're not taking this seriously and doing nothing to protect your customers. We left and didn't order lunch-you have lost our business. Your staff was so incredibly rude about the masks that we won't ever come back and spend money here again. It's a shame because you were our favorite part about visiting the area and we looked forward to it every year. It doesn't take a lot of effort to don a mask and care about people's lives. This place is so cute and the goodies I bought from there are awesome! You absolutely HAVE to get a loaf of their jalapeño cheese bread! It is the best I have ever had. I also picked up a pound of their apple strudel coffee beans and it is so good. I tasted their apple ice cream and it was delicious as well. This place is so much fun! We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday with my 7 year old and she had a blast petting the animals and running around. There are a lot of activities that you pay for on top of the admission fee and that's where I got a little irritated. The costs were way too high. $5 for sand art, $7 for a 1 minute horseback ride, $4 face painting. Not sure how much the pumpkin painting was as we didn't do that. The face painting was at least worth it because the ladies painting did a beautiful job. The hayride, apple tour, pig race, maze and sing along are free. This patch is really geared towards the younger set- the maze is just hay bales so quite short. It was a ton of fun and we all got a good workout walking around. Just a bit pricey, especially of you have a large family/group. read more
