did this as a date night with the gf amd it was an absolute blast. I recommend a solid buzz and being well versed on the various ways or referring to personal pleasure devices but we will absolutely be doing this show again and the hostess was incredible soooooo funny

Want a fun night with friends and potentially find a date? I recommend to watch Love Isn't Blind. It's not your typical comedy dating show. The audience is involved by contributing a yes or no question for the players to answer, they wear color bands according their relationship status and potentially their next potential date. Allison Goldberg is a hilarious host and will the show flowing with all kinds of antics. If you're single or know anyone else that is, you can recommend them to participate in the show. There's so much to say about this event. It's better for you to go and experience it yourself.

A+ singles experience, one of the best I've been to! It was a blast for us (already partnered), too! Alli is phenomenal; incredibly creative on the fly, awesome energy, & exceptional contestants. Really rooting for the final bachelor / new couple...they honestly seem like a fabulous match!! Xoxo, a Seattle dating coach.

It is a great intimate venue with lots of history and great sound. We parked about a half mile away and a public lot by the West Hollywood library, parking was only 12 bucks and it was a nice short walk to the venue and no traffic getting g out when we left the show. The event was sold out, and we got there right when doors opened. The line out front was not too long and security kept everybody moving really quick. Full bar and food inside. The main room is tiny, so anywhere you stand you will have a great view of the performers. I definitely plan to come back to see another show here, wish I had caught shows here in the past... Great venue.

Lights up. Queue…read moresound. Troubadour open those doors, the show is about to start now. From 1957 to 2025/present day this historic music venue theater has housed so many greats and legends in a magnitude of way. It's been featured in many films and shows and brought so much audiophile cheer. I haven't been to the Troubadour in over a decade, so in some way stopping in to see Young Gun Silver Fox (from the UK) with opening act Great Vacation (local Los Angeles) and a awesome DJ set in-between performances by Dustin De Leon was even more epic. I mean even thee Carole King (singer, songwriter, actress, grammy winner) was there rocking out in the audience a few feet away from my boyfriend, our friend Chase and I among a few other familiar locals I knew in the crowd. The design is very cool with a designated smoking area on the side walk away from their line where they will check you thoroughly from security to ticket scan to ID. I try to keep my pockets light for show days as most venues will. Safety first. They don't allow any outside food or drink, but the prices are more than reasonable inside. Once you make your way in the main bar is to the left of the entrance, with merch tables set up for acts of the night. in the corners. You can also find the first set of restrooms here. The service is stellar and the bartenders have a lot of personality and good energy. We had a few beers/craft brews and a ranch water hard seltzer throughout the night, but they have a full bar and solid selection of beverages on draft, limited tap, limited wine. You can hang in here for a bit, seating is limited around the bar, but mellow. Lots of history on the walls, signs and decor in here. Arriving early you can make your way up to the loft and enjoy the show from here as well. They have limited seating along the balcony, an additional bar upstairs. You can see so awesome views of the street life if in the main room. The Troubadour is on the very outskirts of West Hollywood with Beverly Hills literally starting write across the street #SoLA For the first hour we found ourselves at the back bar area inside the main showroom not to far from where you order food ( a good variety of options including vegetarian and vegan eats) We had a good view of the stage for Great Vacation even as the room filled closer to YGSF extended set. They definitely gave the people what they wanted. After nearly walking off stage at the end of an incredible set we chanted and got four more songs :D I still geek out on the movie Rocket Man filming here and recreating Elton John's 1970's performance in this very space. The sound, acoustics and production here is stellar. Iconic, rustic, unforgettable. Capacity for the Troubadour is around 500, with staff and performers just to give an idea of how little big this legendary space is. Additional Restrooms in the corner of the main room near a wide staircase heading to the balcony and loft areas. Parking in the area is garage recommended or metered minding restrictions which typically end by 8pm or on Sundays don't apply. Doors typically open by 7pm for most shows, but can vary slightly (though rarely). Music is a universal truth and at the Troubadour is always rings truth.

This is information you need to let people know earlier in the day not wait until they waste their time and gas money and arrive at the box office. The girl running the box office was apoigetic and nice. Someone associated from the production was trying to have the people that did buy tickets be able to sit through the rehersal since it would be a full run-through. He later told me that he was overruled and it was a no go. I did receive a refund, but even the refund doesn't cover the price of gas that was spent and sitting in traffic driving there and driving back. Not to mention there are different things I could have done with my day if i wasn't going to attend this show. Astronomical unprofessionalism and zero regard for the audience's time and frankly money. If you have already purchased tickets to one of their performances I highly recommend that you confirm if the show is still going on so your time isn't wasted. I have to say out of all of the plays I have seen in LA this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I won't be going to any future plays put on by this production company. Do better. This is pretty disgusting.

A hidden gem. Let's jump right into this review…read more The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles is a renowned, non-profit theater known for intimate productions of classic and contemporary plays, new works, and educational programs. Two main spaces, the 500-seat Gil Cates Theater and the smaller Audrey Skirball-Kenis Theater. My son and I attended a play - Table 17 and sat in the balcony box of the Gil Cates Theater. Box seats $139pp Pros 1. Very nice venue. An intimate space with every seat being a good seat. Great acoustics also. 2. Bathrooms are clean and grounds are well-kept. 3. Small bar area that sells food items and drink, including alcohol. 4. Patio area and seating in the lobby if you arrive early. Doors usually open 1 hour before showtime. Theater doors open 30 minutes before curtain time. Cons 1. Parking can be a challenge but not impossible. Metered street parking. Use the text to pay function because you can add additional time from your phone and receive reminders via text when your time is about to expire. There are also paid parking lots within walking distance. Prices will vary. I was impressed with Geffen Playhouse and will definitely be back. Read on: In an email that mentioned the Irvine Improv in large type, I received an offer for free tickets to any of several comedy shows at various local venues. The Improv was not the sender, as stated within. I chose my show, purchased two passes, and paid a $3 service fee for each. I phoned the venue to confirm date/time. The poor woman who answered had no idea what I was talking about. The venue was correct, but those who booked it did not list their own telephone number. At this point, I realized that there may--or may not--be a show, this may be a scam. On the day of the show, I paid a sitter, drove out to the venue, paid for parking, and stood in line for an hour. When it was my turn to go in, I was ushered to the side to see a lady (Dee). Dee explained that the show was oversold and that my tickets had been refunded. She was very sorry, it was not her fault that I was not contacted and told this in advance/over the phone. It was not her company's fault. It was everyone else's fault. Read on. I emailed Laughstub a couple of times to confirm that my $6 fee was refunded and got no response. Today, I phoned Laughstub and got Dee. Lucky me. Dee explained how I was in the wrong in every way: I should not have used email. I should not have emailed the address with which I had corresponded in the past (funny, she did not volunteer a correct email). I should have known that the fine print states that there are no refunds on the $6 fee. I should know that paid tickets get precedence over free tickets. I should know that it's stupid of me to tell her I won't use her company anymore and will avoid it, because that's like saying I won't use Windows anymore. (ps, what is Windows? Looked for it all over my Mac and it does not seem to be installed...) I should know that it's the client's (Comedy Central's) fault and that this is how they choose to handle the problem, not Laughstub's bla bla bla. The list goes on, but I have tired you, dear reader. I am staying so far away from anything promoted by or associated with LAUGHSTUB, it's not even funny!!!

The staff was friendly and organized, and getting in and seated was smooth even with a full house. The Center Theatre Group hooked us up with a pair of second row tickets for this play when we were at the LA Times Festival of Books, and we purchased an additional pair for friends to join us for the show. Guac was a hilarious, creative, and heartfelt production. What amazed me was how the star of the show managed to pull off such a spectacular performance as a one-man band. His energy combined with the excellent crowd work on the audience made the whole night feel surreal. Without giving away too much of the plot, I can tell you that this play is very much on the nose for today's social climate and the timing couldn't be more perfect with upcoming elections. You can tell this theatre really supports bold, original productions instead of just playing it safe. Also appreciated how clean and well-maintained the venue was, plus there are plenty of good spots nearby to grab food or drinks before the show, like ramen at Ippudo or Mensho Tokyo. They also validate parking for an additional two hours if you park at City Hall, so I recommend taking advantage of this. The recommended attire is more on the casual side compared to Broadway shows you'd catch at Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, so leave the suits at home and pack a comfy outfit instead. Already looking forward to coming back for another production!

The ticket validation scanner is in the lobby area and staff are there to assist if need be. Came here to see the "Enormous Crocodile" with some other fellow adults. Probably one of the few groups here without children. For some strange reason, after purchasing my tickets, it said to pick them up from the box office, but that was no issue and we were able to get physical tickets ASAP, around 20 minutes before the musical. There's concession where you can get snacks (must finish before entering the theater) or drinks (can bring inside). They had some specials for the season and some specials for the showing, which we got both of. I really liked the non-alcoholic Swamp Water, very refreshing and fruity and the little palm tree umbrella was very cute and on theme. My bro and his friend shared the Croc Cooler, which was made with vodka, blue curacao, orange juice and bitters, and sprite and a stick of cinnamon. Very strong, had to water this down with the Swamp Water, but overall, definitely much more affordable than the spirits at the Ahmanson theater. There's also complimentary water. For the families there, there was a table for coloring and craft making, a wall to share your artwork, a nook of books recommended by the Croc, and a small table selling merchandise. For concession and merch, it was cashless only! It's a smaller theater but it uses the space pretty well, some seats to the side, and some balcony seats too. The stage is at ground level meaning you can walk in from the first row of seats (some parents had to reel in their toddlers from doing this). We were in the 3rd row from the front and the sound was nice and crisp, lighting was great, and it was nice from where we were at to see the details in the set, costume, and puppetry. Overall a fun experience and a good theater.
