Couldn't handle 4 Jeff Tweedy shows for Largo. Server kept crashing. Do they work out of their mom's basement still?

Wine and beers sold in the bar for cheap. And an area to sit down in what they turned into a bar. Good vibes all night mainly because the host energy will do that to you. The show was also funny and very entertaining. There's a couple of things that sort of left me with a strange taste in my mouth. We sat next to one of the male contestants, and when one of the guys got called up to the stage, he ran down the aisle and they fist-pumped. I asked him how they knew each other and he said they did another dating show like this before. So it made me wonder if these good looking guys just go on the "LA dating show circuit" to hook up with girls. It made me wonder what their actual intentions are. Maybe I'm overthinking it. But I'd like to see guys up there who genuinely want to find a partner. I know there are plenty of them out there. The other strange thing was after the show, we're all mingling and the bachelorette is talking to everyone else except the guy that she picked as the winner! And she was even talking to the guy that she eliminated, like for the rest of the night. So it just made me wonder what the contestants are even looking for. I also didn't like that all the guys wrote sexual poems. Again I feel like the show can find guys that actually have romantic intentions and aren't just looking for a hook up after the show.

This is information you need to let people know earlier in the day not wait until they waste their time and gas money and arrive at the box office. The girl running the box office was apoigetic and nice. Someone associated from the production was trying to have the people that did buy tickets be able to sit through the rehersal since it would be a full run-through. He later told me that he was overruled and it was a no go. I did receive a refund, but even the refund doesn't cover the price of gas that was spent and sitting in traffic driving there and driving back. Not to mention there are different things I could have done with my day if i wasn't going to attend this show. Astronomical unprofessionalism and zero regard for the audience's time and frankly money. If you have already purchased tickets to one of their performances I highly recommend that you confirm if the show is still going on so your time isn't wasted. I have to say out of all of the plays I have seen in LA this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I won't be going to any future plays put on by this production company. Do better. This is pretty disgusting.

The Iranian-American playwright Houshang Touzie and his production company, Work Shop 79, are presenting his latest play at Odyssey this weekend, and I attended their rehearsal last night to be part of it. What I love most about Odyssey is that every seat is a "good seat." The lighting director and the sound engineer were busy setting everything up, and I sat silently in the darkness, watching everything come together in preparation for what was to come this weekend. Thank you, Odyssey, for welcoming plays from other cultures and languages into your theater.

So, some people who are reviewing the programming or staff are actually reviewing SMC, not BroadStage or vice versa. I have never attended an SMC performance so I can't speak to their programming or staffing, but BroadStage has very interesting programming & very kind staff. Since BroadStage programming is so eclectic, though, some of it just isn't of interest to me. Different strokes....

Lovely venue but sometimes the artists or productions chosen to take the stage are disappointing…read more I've had the experience now twice of going to a show based on genre and marketing and having to sit through performances that feel like they were brought in to cater to a very specific, very small but obviously inner circle community. Choose wisely what you come for. If your intuition tells you this artist was maybe brought in simply on connections and what community they're a part of then listen to your gut. I say all of this because there are so many deserving and talented productions out there that deserve and would love the privilege of being paid to perform here but to see the opportunities squandered on the same old stories and inner circle artists is enough for me to think long and hard before buying tickets to this theatre again.
