When I got home after the sun went down, the project looked pretty good. Sadly when I saw the project when the sun came up, I realized the soil was placed on top of the weed fabric (defeating the purpose of weed fabric.) Decorative rocks and more soil were place right on top of existing weeds with no effort to at least pull the weeds sticking out. The retaining blocks were installed upside down and not close to being level. It was so tilted that one of them toppled over. After letting him know, he said if you want the retaining blocks level, it would be extra and that if a landscaper installs retaining wall blocks, it should not be assumed they are to be level. There was zero grading done so the soil washed down the slope when I watered, and when asked for a partial refund, I was ignored. We were charged $1500 for his 4.75 hours of work. He also placed soil, rocks, and plants about 4 feet into our neighbors property on accident. Unfortunately we had to remove everything and re-do it correctly. The guy genuinely seemed like a nice guy and I feel bad for writing a bad review, but it's in your best interest to choose a different landscaper. **Update-in response to the owners denial, This was done three years ago. I just noticed that I never posted it, but thought it was worthy of posting to let others know.
