I called Aina Landscaping about a gravel project I needed help with .I left a message on their web page within a hour they called back and the following day Kerry the general Manager came over to give me ideas and a quote on my project . I found Kerry and all his workers to be incredibly nice, Hardworking , professional and skillful in everything they did.. I was AMAZED ! Not only did I get my gravel project done beautifully , but his crew also removed an ugly wall on my property, replaced and installed new wood plank fencing ..painted it ..then installed some turf.. everything they did looks so tidy and nice .. all done to my high standards in less than 5 days... WARNING! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! I did back in March 2024 and started my 9-month long nightmare with them. Everything they did was wrong or broken that needed to be fixed! I finally terminated their work in December 2024 after their numerous promises that did not come through and they kept asking for more money after I have already paid them more than $200K. They are extremely greedy and produce lowerest low quality of work. The crew they hire to do the work have no knowledge and experience of landscaping at all. They basically drag their children, brother-in-law and nephew to do the labor without any training! My landscape is still not done after 9 months work. I am hiring someone else now to fix the disaster they left behind. They also broke my gate and did not fix it after my numerous requests. They have left my property unsecured for months. They also trespassed my property without notice after I terminated their work which I have reported to the authority. I will do everything I can to expose their lies and mis-conducts. Hired this company in October 2023 to update our backyard. So much things went wrong from the very first day! First, we were told that they would get our approval before any work was to start, WRONG! Second, nothing they promised was received, especially the plants that we actually approved! Third, our sprinkler system hasn't been working properly since they've touched it. Fourth, we had to correct several things that we found not done correctly Or completely. We were told that this job would take 5 business days to complete. By the third WEEK, we could not continue waiting and told them to stop and we were done. We are still working on our yard correcting what they did. read more

SOOOO BAD! Less than a year ago I hired them to remove some old plants from two small flowerbeds ($2200 for less than 250 sq ft) plus $1571 to install new irrigation lines. They spent a few hours tearing out the old plants but didn't remove the roots, the very part for which I needed help. And I have spent the last 11 months trying to get the irrigation heads adjusted properly because they spray just about everything except the plants, plus in some areas they didn't install the correct type of heads for the plantings. Yes I had them come out a couple of times to readjust the sprinkler heads but they never did get it right, or even close. Now the connector between the front and back systems, which sits in an area where nothing and no one goes near it, has exploded apart so the back section no longer works and the connector is blowing water all over the place. I dislike leaving this type of review. However, others should know what I experienced and make their own decisions. The work done by Hawaii Landscaping was good. It was also expensive. I was willing to pay the price because the company seemed solid in its business practices. However, we received a call from their office telling us that the supervisor on our job had quit and they were no longer servicing our area. This phone call occurred two days before they were due to perform the next service. As a result, we have been left in the lurch and have been diligently seeking another landscaper. I confirmed the August 3, 2022 noon appointment by responding to your text on July 31. At 8:30 am on August 3, 2022 I received a call from a male employee telling me that your employee who oversaw our area had quit and due to the distance and price of gas the owners had decided to immediately discontinue service. I mentioned the confirmed noon appointment for that day and was told there was nothing on the schedule. I said this was very short notice and could the the confirmed appointment be honored to give us some time to engage someone else. Your employee said he would call the owners and then call me back to let me know. No call back was received. Your reply comment that options were offered may possibly be true for some clients but I was not one of them. I was simply told 3 1/2 hours before the confirmed appointment that you were canceling with a promise of a call back that did not happen. Hawaii Landscaping is dependable for showing up. You go over everything with Dylan that you want the company to do and they end up doing basically mowing, edging & blowing, none of the other work you need done, all for $200 an hour. And when you want gardening only 2 times a month, they put you on bi-weekly and say they can't schedule for 2 times so they can charge you more. Some of the employees give you attitude when you're telling them what you want done, they say Dylan told them different and they have limited time. Unfortunately their attitude is they're going to do your gardening their way and they're very slow. I would never recommended Hawaii Landscaping, so over priced and you do not get what you want. read more

I have a coffee farm and irrigation issues are non-stop and can be extremely expensive. I called Hawaii Landscaping near their closing time on Tuesday, told them what I needed and they had their person on my farm by 8 AM Wednesday. We uncovered a much bigger issue midway through the job and Dylan stayed with it until everything worked perfectly. I have gotten used to people in Hawaii not showing up on time, if at all, and often not wanting to do what is required to complete the job. Dylan is by far the best irrigation guy I have ever used and will be the only one I use in the future. read more

We needed to "rehab" our landscaping and called several local companies. HI Landscaping promptly set an appointment with us. Kerry showed up on time and listened to what we wanted and gave us his ideas as well. We were promptly provided with a detailed estimate within our budget. Kerry spent time with us at several nurseries to understand what we liked or not for our yard. His crew arrived as scheduled. They were polite and worked hard, cleaning up the site before leaving each evening. They finished our yard, including changes we requested mid-way, within the time promised. They fixed all the irrigation issues our yard had and the finished product looks great! We are very pleased. Kerry took time to walk through the care each plant needed as well as the irrigation cycles. Some reviews say they are pricey; however, we believe you get what you pay for. I actually wasn't looking for a landscaper, just needed some trees trimmed. These guys happened to be working on the yard next door to me. Just out of curiosity I asked if they'd be interested. They got it done the very next day. Since then they have done a landscape "make over", fencing, irrigation, and even a beautiful raised garden! Yes, folks...they do so much more than just landscaping! Kerry and his guys are fast, very friendly, organized and very professional. They know what they are doing. i rarely leave reviews, but my experience with HAWAII LANDSCAPING has been the best. Not only do they do their job correctly and precise to what you have asked, but they do it with class and pride. Also, I would suggest that everyone ask for the removal of the stuff the cleared... My yard had so much overgrown, from the rains and I live Mauka.. so yes, it grows, but they cleaned up my overgrown yard, took everything that they cut and removed and hauled it away. It's a small extra price to pay, to have all that removed.. properly. Their equipment is first rate, the vehicles, tucks and even the trailer for the green waste, is first rate and obviously well maintained. These guys are the real thing. They know what they are doing. And then there is a wonderful gentleman named Ray.. He is not only courteous, kind and does a great job, but he knows his stuff... !! He doesn't just come and clean up your yard. He cares for it, and when he walked me around after it was completed, he pointed out things in my yard I had never known... His assistant was a hard working young man who doesn't goof off. The two of them were amazing and its ben almost 2 weeks, and my yard looks amazing!! I plan to ask them to put me on their calendar for a once a month 'caretaker' here...
