She's at the age where she changes shoe sizes every couple months and we're not sure she's going to be a Ginger Rogers. The store is somewhat cluttered with lots of great deals. Every square inch is covered with merchandise. The clerk/owner is Aloha friendly and will help you find something. Several other people were shopping for clothes and backpacks. We did find the tap shoes at about a third of the price of new shoes. What was nice is that she could try them on so we could sure they fit right before we bought them. She tried about six pair before we found the perfect fit. (She is a princess, for sure.) We also picked up a gymnastics leotard for her for a couple bucks. The shop has a small shared parking lot with free parking.

Upon entering you're warmly greeted & constantly checked over during the shopping trip which is always plus! The store takes in good quality items so you know what you're buying is something they would purchase for their own family. I could easily spend an hour in here just digging through the toy bin, racks of clothes & shelves. Parking lot can get busy at times but hasn't been an issue for me for the times I have been. Can't recommend this place enough when I know you have littles in your life who go thru so many growths & interests.

My personal favorite is April, she is one of the owners and I love when she helps me with gift ideas! One of my favorite reasons to support this gem of a store is that many of their items are locally made and sourced. They have the cutest selection of kids' clothing, toys, books, and so much more! My son's current obsession is a kid-friendly cookbook he got there, along with edible finger paints made from different foods--such a genius idea! If you're in Haleʻiwa, this shop is an absolute must-visit. I believe they even offer online shopping! Go follow their instagram!

This review genuinely makes me sad to write. We've visited Tiny Manini every year. It became part…read moreof our family tradition whenever we came to the North Shore. A children's bookstore should feel magical. It should feel like curiosity, discovery, imagination and the joy of finding something unexpected. For years, that's exactly what this place felt like. The people working here used to introduce us to local authors. They'd recommend books we never would have picked up on our own. They'd engage with our family. They'd make the experience feel special. This visit felt like the complete opposite. We arrived shortly before closing with our children. That's on us. We weren't expecting anyone to stay late. We weren't expecting special treatment. We simply wanted to browse for a few minutes and hopefully buy a few books. Instead, we were repeatedly reminded how much time was left. "Can I help you?" "You have about five minutes." "Anything I can help you find?" Over and over again. Not in a warm way. Not in a helpful way. Not in a "let me help you find something before we close" way. In a "please hurry up and leave" way. The saddest part wasn't even what was said. It was what wasn't. Nobody greeted my children. Nobody asked what they liked to read. Nobody pointed them toward a favorite book. Nobody shared a local recommendation. Nobody created even a single moment of wonder inside a children's bookstore. And just like that, the magic disappeared. The irony is that bookstores aren't really selling books anymore. You can buy books anywhere. They're selling atmosphere. They're selling community. They're selling the feeling that wandering through shelves is still worth doing in an age when everything can be ordered online. That's why this visit was so disappointing. The books were still there. The shelves were still there. The store was still there. But the warmth that made the place special seemed completely gone. After years of visiting and happily spending money here, I walked out feeling like my family had overstayed our welcome. For a children's bookstore, that's a surprisingly sad thing to feel. We won't be back.

Shopping in Kailua, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Lexbreezy had a super long line of customers at the Made In Hawaii Festival a few months ago. I've seen the Instagram posts of their clothing, but never had a chance to look upclose at the styles and fabrics. We were going to lunch in Kailua - next door at the new Oh My Grill - and noticed that Lexbreezy is right here! Wow! With free parking, it's so easy to stop by after a meal. Unfortunately, we took too long to eat and Lexbreezy was closed. I drove back to Kailua and got a chance to look around the cute shop! I liked the prints, but didn't care for the styles. For example, rompers are too inconvenient for me to wear. I'll stop by in a few months and check the merchandise. Maybe new items will come out for the holidays... I noticed a dressing room - it will come in handy since there might not be any returns/exchanges accepted.

The dress is a size SMALL and looks like I was wearing an XXLG. It looked ridiculous. I called to ask if I could exchange for an XS and was told NO. Yes I understand ALL SALES FINAL, I want the dress but just a smaller size. How difficult can this request be?
