Sadly, we learned that the groomer takes Tuesdays off, so that was a huge disappointment. Today, I called to ensure that a groomer was there. We're in luck, a groomer is there today. However, said groomer started peppering me with questions: What kind of dog do you have? Have you been here before? How much do they weigh? How old are they? On the flier they have at the groomer's desk, there are no caveats or exceptions to the offer for services. In fact, it even states: Cheers to A LA Carte Classica." When I mentioned that our Coco was 11 years old, the groomer said they were kinda busy and didn't really like to take older dogs. What? Or you kidding me? Perhaps Petco Management should counsel the groomer about customer service, or if this indeed the policy about age restrictions, include it on the flier or discontinue weekday walk-in services.

Immediately coming in we were ignored , not greeted & simply asked what we were looking for. No problems there if you want to get straight to the point . Upon seeing the beagles I asked how much they were and she said $800. She then proceeded to ask where I live as in apartment, town home or home and I said the puppy was for my mother ( for her birthday) and she lived in a town home. Let me add my moms house has a big yard in the back , and plenty of great walking trails nearby. She then tells me well no you can't purchase the animal, they are a " barky, loud" breed and can't live next to other people if it's not in a home. I have NEVER in my life heard anyone create a random rule that you can't purchase a breed because it barks ...ALL DOGS BARK , especially puppies like wtf and i mentioned she lives in a town home, as well as her neighbors having a dog. Her attitude wasn't pleasant at all and I feel like she just didn't want to sell us a dog. Even if I lived in a home, next door neighbors can still hear a dog barking wether it's inside or out. She was just quick to dismiss and shut us down. The puppies are overpriced and the customer service is TRASH. I pray they get a new owner some day, I've never liked that lady anyways.

They have fish for all levels of fishkeepers, but we're beginners, so we stick with the smaller community fish for now. We purchased a lot of beautiful rainbows, swords, hatchets, corys, and tetras here and months later, they're all doing great in our tank. A&E seems to get new shipments every Thursday/Friday. If you're looking for a particular fish, call them on Wednesday to see if they have it in stock or will be getting it in that week's shipment. The interior of the shop is not pretty. A&E is definitely focused on caring for their fish and their customers, not keeping the front of the shop aesthetically pleasing. So don't walk through the front door and leave without checking the tanks. The beautiful fish keep us coming back. FYI: On my last trip here I learned that A&E will draw a big X across the front of tanks that have a sick fish inside. Fish in tanks with the X are not for sale. I was glad to know they care so much about caring for the fish as well as not selling sick fish to customers and spreading illness to other tanks. There's a shark tank in the back with 3 sharks and a huge grouper. My 18 month old isn't very interested in the sharks but she loves watching that grouper. There is parking behind the shop.

Volunteers (Jean, Amanda, Julie, Amy) were so helpful, supportive, friendly. I can't praise them enough. In just 5 days my "scaredy" cat has left his hiding place, explored the house and is happily settling in. I think this reflects the good care he received at STAF while awaiting a new home.

Earlier this year we adopted a male from our local dog pound that required at $5,000 surgery that we had done for him. Fraudulent billing practices. Absolutely do not recommend…read more This was one of the most dishonest and upsetting experiences I have ever had with a veterinary clinic. I brought my cat in for surgery and was given an estimate of around $900. Based on that estimate, I signed the paperwork so they could move forward. After the surgery was done, I was suddenly presented with a bill for over $3,000. At no point before the procedure or during the surgery did anyone tell me the cost was going to increase anywhere close to that amount. There was no phone call, no update, and no attempt to get my approval for these additional charges. The only time they communicated clearly was when they wanted payment. When I explained that my budget was $2,000 and that the final bill was far beyond what I had agreed to, instead of trying to work with me or explain things in a professional way, they threatened to call the police. After the fact, they tried to hide behind a tiny line in the paperwork saying the final price could vary depending on the actual procedure. That was never properly explained before surgery, and it certainly does not justify charging more than three times the original estimate without any real communication. This felt incredibly misleading, predatory, and unprofessional. When people bring their pets in for surgery, they are already stressed and vulnerable. A clinic should be transparent about costs, communicate clearly about major changes, and get approval before adding thousands of dollars in charges. If you care about honesty, transparency, and basic respect as a customer, stay away from this place. Absolutely do not recommend.
