The one star review is based on the following 2 issues: 1) My first appointment (11/27) was cancelled by LYL via text. I was out of the country until late on 11/26 and my texts did not arrive on my phone until late evening 11/27 after I had already gone into LYL for my appointment. When I showed up for my appointmett and found out LYL cancelled my appointment, the owner, Aimee, said she would personally do my lashes the next day. The next morning, Aimee's assistant called me canceling my appointment because Aimee had a family emergency which I understand. Her assistant made an appointment for the following day on Sunday morning. I went into LYL on Sunday morning but Aimee was NOT coming into LYL but I NEVER received a text or phone call letting me know! Aimee should have at least called me to cancel appointment so I did not waste another trip to LYL. 2) As LYL customers we are expected to arrive for our appointments on time yet Aimee, the owner of LYL does NOT even show up for scheduled appointments. At the very least she should have called me to apologize. Zoena was working at LYL on Friday evening when I showed up for my appointment and again on Sunday morning . She called Aimee on Sunday morning to find out what time she would arrive my appointment. She found out that Aimee was NOT coming in for my appointment! Zoena offered to do my lashes later in the afternoon. I found out later she had plans in the afternoon but changed her plans to ensure that I got my lashes done. I came back in the afternoon and she did my lashes. My lashes look amazing. She is the only positive aspect of my recent experience at LYL. If my review was based on Zoena talent and professionalism my rating would be 5 stars!!!!!!!! read more

Aimee was fantastic! I had recieved Lashes from another place and they were horrible. Aimee had to remove them and fix my own lashes. The next day Aimee applied the eyelash extentions and they look and feel like my own only much better and prettier. I will go no where else from now on. I found this place on Yelp. I was easily able to navigate their website and read info about eyelash extensions and see pics of the different lashes they offer. I booked an appointment the next morning for extensions on both my top and bottom lashes. Candace did my lashes, the top lashes were pretty simple but the bottom ones were a little more tedious. my first time with eyelash extensions & I couldn't have asked for a better experience. the studio is super cute, chic & clean and the staff warm and approachable. they took the time to explain everything, answer all of my questions, and they're super hygienic, gentle and careful. not sure what I'd expected, but it was totally painless, kinda relaxing, and the result is amazing! I went with the more natural look & no one can tell --- everyone thinks I look terrific, but no one can put their finger on what's different. I learned about LYL from a flyer at the infusion center where I got chemo - it took me months, but I finally gave them a call. why did I wait so long!? I'm terrible with the glue-on fake eyelashes and am so grateful to have found LYL! the extensions don't damage my scrawny, recovering lashes and having them has cut 20 minutes of eyelash battle off of my morning routine. they really do look & feel a million times better and I'm in great hands at Love your Lashes - they did a great job, made me feel comfortable and I love the way I look. I have been going to LYL for quite awhile now. I really love how my lashes look, the location of the salon and the girls who work there. I rarely ever wear eye make up anymore, no need for it. My eyes look pretty from the time I wake up until I go to bed. Aimee is my go to girl for lashes, but I also really like Makenna. I have had to reschedule with barely any notice and they are always able to get me in, sometimes even on the same day. Also, I'm a single mom and sometimes I have to bring my toddler in and they are always so accommodating!! Love this place!! Going to get a fill on Saturday, yay!!! read more

Horrible. Lol so laughable. I recently had a total out of the blue reaction to another eyelash place that I've been going to for years. Great place, THE BEST lash tech, but it was the glue she was using. So I decided to call other places to see if they were familiar with glue sensitivities. I came across this horrid place where the lady who answered told me she has glue sensitivities (EXACTLY LIKE MINE) and never had a problem with their glue. I asked for the glue they used to compare ingredients to narrow down what it is that could be giving me this random reaction, and she said she couldn't disclose that information. Ughhhh....what? Is it even safe to use near someone's eye? The world may never know cause it's "top secret". First red flag. However, since I really wanted to get them put on, I agreed to make an appointment and she set me up with the manager. I got a text confirmation and everything. Literally just called, and spoke with Amy (the owner) who was super short with me cause she was with a client which is understandable...but Jesus, with how much money you rake in, pay someone to answer phones if you can't. Anyways, she said I wasn't even on the schedule.... and after I told her a brief run down of my reaction and if in the case I did have a reaction, if i was able to get them removed the next day and she advised I stay with my original lady. Ughhh what again? Even though my original lady is THE BEST, i clearly had a reaction to the glue...so why would you advise someone to stay where they had an allergic reaction . Clearly they're too good for new business. What pisses me off is the first lady I spoke to took literally 15 minutes convincing me that I would have no problem, and then this horrid owner does this. I love my lashes! The technician Zoena was very informative about how to care for them to ensure they last as long as possible and the process was completely painless! I was in town and needed a last minute fill- this place was out of my way about 25 min but the reviews were much better than the other available shop. It was totally worth it - Mandy was awesome and made my lashes look better than they ever have. I don't like the big clunky look and she put on thin lashes that looked more natural but very full. She was super friendly as was Amy, the other lash-tician and they're both obviously knowledgeable about their craft and passionate about healthy lashes. I highly recommend this place. I usually visit a lash bar in Louisiana w/ a very well renowned makeup artist. She told me a few key things to look for if I ever had to visit another lash bar. This place passed all the tests. They Were thorough in their intake information, clean, courteous, and pleasant. The salon manager Danielle, booked my appointment, she was great... And the owner, Aimee, did my lashes. She was sweet, and worked extremely fast. We had an hour session and she was able to pack. LOT of lashes on in that time. The only feedback i'd give: make sure you specify that you want additional length... Even if it's beyond what they would choose for you. And secondly, their under eye pads are slightly abrasive... Maybe ask for gel packs or if they customize that part of the process. Otherwise, cool and satisfying experience. Awesome job ladies!! read more

This place is mediocre at best. I wanted to like it bc it's close to where I live and grew up but it's absolutely whatever and if you're on the fence I urge you to try another place. Went here twice - once for a full set, once for a fill. Got different girls both times bc I didn't want the first girl I went to. I say girls bc they're all just that - really young and most don't know what they're doing. Anyway that said, none of them really know how to greet someone. I witnessed a few other customers go In before me and we were all treated the same: "what's your name? Ok this is our room" like no hello, I'm so and so, how are you, just absolutely bad service and totaly lacking in basic manners. Then when I was getting my lashes done - both times - I have to hear what these chicks are bitching about when I really just want peace and quiet. Like if I'm here for 2 plus hours I don't wanna hear a bunch of chicken heads point blank. Also this one girl kept making fun of how "old" everyone is mind you she's making fun of thirty year olds which is a lot of their demographic which makes no sense. The first time I got the full set the girl didn't give me the volume set even though I asked for it. Second time the girl gave me the volume set and was a lot more efficient compared to the first girl but the lashes all fell out within 3 days of me being extra careful with them. Makes no sense. I've had lashes done so many times before and this was just bad quality and service. Also they make a big deal about how they use materials that are gentle and my eyes were really irritated both times. Another note - scheduling was difficult: their website is totally outdated offering specials they don't carry and if you're a first timer you can't schedule an appointment even after giving your card info. Then the lady Abby is totally incompetent, it took her almost 6 calls to schedule me and confirm and she changed the day on me even after confirming. Also when I was there I could hear her on the phone during my appt (fail) and she's literally telling everyone's personal business "so and so can't make it bc she's w her kids that day" "oh her friend is visiting from Monterey so she's out w her" fkn really?? Get it together. That's absurd all it takes is to know the customers availability info and the employees scheduling info quit divulging their private life. Also she left these girls just having the run of the place when she's gone which is for hours. Ill never come back. Too inconsistent, too unorganized, too expensive for bad quality (they just raised their prices lol). I would pass to say the least. read more
