    Donuts!
    Chom A.

How did I miss this spot? I am glad I found this place by accident today. They have my favorite mochi donuts! I loved "Pon De Ring" when Mister Donut launched it in Thailand. After I moved to the US, I only found it in east and west coast. I am so happy that Tennessee has mochi donuts. It is the best 10 out of 10!

I visited Love4Boba on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 6:30 pm. I'm usually skeptical about non-franchised boba shops because their selections of boba drinks are either too basic, too sweet sometimes, or lack some kind of unique memorable branding that makes me unlikely to come back for lack of better terms. But I was pleasantly surprised with this one! Their boba menu looks pretty simple, but succeeds in "less is more" strategy. I ordered the lavender milk tea with 50% sweetness and thought it was the perfect sugar level for my taste. The brown sugar milk "tea" is not usually made with tea, which was ordered at regular sweetness; I thought it was not too milky, contrary to how most boba shops tend to make it. I also liked how they offered crystal boba toppings, which is my preference over the regular tapioca pearls. This place also have a nice selection of savory food snacks and quick bites to complement your drink. The service was friendly and welcoming to answer my questions. Overall, a cute boba shop that is somewhat oddly located and a little out of the way, but I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area!

We came to this little cute little mochi donut shop! These donuts are not your typical American donuts. Mochi donuts have a chewy texture. We love matcha and ube hints we got double of the two flavors. The matcha donuts tasted like they were fried in old frying oil. Yuck! But the other donuts were fine. Ube was good, the cookies and cream was nothing fancy and the banana was probably one of the better ones out of the batch. We may be back to try others.

I've literally have kept this place my secret but now it's out lol. The BEST boba in the state. Their boba is home made so the texture is just perfect. Did I mention they also have mochi donuts. Don't skip them! They do carry some food as well but I haven't been able to try it. But this gem shouldn't be missed.

They are still in the soft opening. But for sure the mochi donuts are delicious. Had a soft chewy texture. Not too heavy on the sweet glaze which I prefer it like that. Boba tea was also a hit. Cute little shop right next to the gas station.

J'adore! This place has all of the boba mochi donut shop vibes. The decor is perfect for an IG post. The store front is full of my favorite childhood snacks. Be sure to take photos with the wings and backdrop with your favorite drink. The taro milk tea is delicious. My husband ordered the brown sugar. He enjoyed it. It was well-balanced in sweetness. I'm generally not a fan of tapioca pearls because most place fail at achieving the perfect texture, chewy yet soft. They did tapioca pearls right here. Thank you to the owners for offering to me to try theirs. I was much delighted. We also has the spam musubi. Umm, made fresh. It was served warm which was much appreciated. The mochi donuts Lisa makes... so yummyyyy. She was not kidding with me when she said she crafted the donuts to be soft and chewy. I bought these to share with my Asian parents who don't do sweets. They said it wasn't too sweet and would pair well with their morning coffee. So I'll have an update on the texture of the donuts overnight. The banana crunch so good! Not a typical flavor I find at mochi donut shops. My parents loved the pandan flavor. I look forward to returning.

If you love sweet treats, definitely consider stopping by! They have Boba Teas and several different mochi donut flavors. If sweets aren't your thing, they have savory foods as well. I had the spam musubi and passion fruit tea. Spam musubi was very simple, but very delicious as well! Passion fruit tea wasn't watered down. Mochi donut wasn't too sweet. Thoroughly enjoyed everything i tried that day! Service was great as well. Was greeted right away and answered all the questions i had. There's a cute wall to take pictures on one side. Then the other side had stickers, keychains, anime , etc. A lot of cool stuff!

If you're following me on Yelp, then you know I am on a Mochi donut kick so I was ecstatic to see a shop open locally!! It's a little building right off a main road, if you blink you may miss it. It's super cute inside and even has a photo opp. And how lucky are we that it's delicious!! I love the texture - soft and chewy! Even after a few days! The flavors are distinguishable but not too overwhelming. The ube and matcha ones are my favorite! There's about 6 different flavors at time and they do occasionally switch them up, but these seem to be the usual. The prices are about average for these specialty donuts. And they have special offers for less than perfect ones. We're not huge boba fans, but we did get some tea with lychee jelly and grass jelly. And they were able to make it to my tasting(no sugar). Service was great!

My teenage daughter's love for boba has been the gateway for an addiction to milk teas of my own. We just arrived in town after driving almost 20 hours from Colorado, and the first thing my daughter did was a yelp search for boba. Lucky for her she found this place only 5 minutes from the house where we are staying. At home in Colorado we have two choices relatively close to our house. The closest has really good tapioca, while the other has much better tea with okay tapioca. This always leaves us debating which is more important, better tapioca or better te? Well I am happy to say if you live close or just near Love4Boba stop in because it is the best of both worlds. The only thing I wish is that I had asked for extra tapioca. The amount of tapioca in our drinks is about half of what we are used to in Colorado. Long-story-short, Love4Boba is great, and if you really like the tapioca just ask for extra.

We've tried from the fried rice to the mochi donuts. It's all good! Love that it serves hot food as well so not only we can get boba but also grab something to eat that is wholesome. The kids and I love this place, service is always quick and friendly. Sometimes there can be a crowd so be patient when you walk in and there are people waiting, trust me, it'll be worth it.

I had no idea this was a brand new establishment. It turns out we visited during their first week of opening! We tried the Ube, Matcha, and Strawberry mochi donuts. I haven't been able to find these near me since I tried them in San Francisco, and the texture and flavor is just like how they make them on the west coast. Sweet, light, and slightly chewy--delicious. The glaze got messed up in the bag but it looked pretty in the pastry case. I wish we got ours in a box. We also tried the Tiger Milk Tea, which was great as well. It is black milk tea with brown sugar syrup on the sides. I think the overall quality of the tea and boba is better than some popular bubble tea spots in Nashville. It did take some time for us to order since there is only one register, but I suspect that this will solve itself as the business grows. Definitely make a visit if you can!

A cute shop. Brought my in-laws and friends here several times. Everyone loved the mochi donuts and the bubble tea.

And as popular as this spot is, they sell out well before 3:00 every single day! So on several occasions over the past five years, I've driven an hour down to Lewisburg at 1:00 or 2:00, only to find a closed store at the end of a fruitless trip. Finally, I made the pilgrimage to the Lewisburg Donut Shop on a weekday morning and found it open! Hallelujah! And indeed, the donuts did not disappoint. The apple fritter is among the best I've had, almost as good as Fox's in Green Hills. But that maple with a soft, yeasty, melt-in-your-mouth dough is astounding! I can understand the lofty ratings now!

With an impressive 4.77 rating across all user-driven platforms online (108 total votes and…read morecounting), you would imagine Fresh Donuts would live up to the hype. On paper - actually on an Excel spreadsheet I created - those scores rank them as the third best donuts in Middle Tennessee! Having now eaten at the entire top 25 donut spots, I can provide my impartial review. I found this tiny, unassuming shop in a strip mall with no sign. Unlabeled with a lackluster, no-frills interior, you'll find the secret store adjacent to a Fantastic Sam's southwest of downtown Columbia. In the first few bites, I realized that the donuts at Fresh Donuts were shockingly mediocre for such lofty ratings. But you must consider that a Columbia 4.77 isn't a Nashville 4.77. In a smaller town with fewer bakery options, ratings are always going to be skewed higher. That's true throughout the country. To pull off a 4.77 in Nashville is nearly impossible unless you have a really special product that distinguishes itself among some serious competition! So you must temper your expectations in a town of fewer than 50,000. The maple frosted donut here, my favorite donut flavor, wasn't bad. But it struck me as average and unremarkable. The cinnamon twist wasn't as light and airy as some of the exemplary versions you'll find in Nashville, and the cinnamon was nearly undetectable. While the donuts were fresh even in the late afternoon with a dwindling supply, which is impressive and lives up to the name Fresh Donuts, I wouldn't make this a destination for Nashvillians who are thinking of driving an hour down to Columbia. If you happen to be in Columbia, yes, this is a good stop for donuts. But don't make a road trip out of it just to sample what are allegedly the third-best donuts in the region. They simply aren't what the ratings imply, and I made the trip so you wouldn't have to.

We ordered 2 iced breve lattes, our daughter got some juice from the cooler, and we ordered 4 donut options to split between 3 of us. We didn't care for the brand of espresso they used - it's really floral and just wasn't what we prefer. I think the shots were pulled right, we just didn't care for that roast. And the donuts...we got maple, King Kong, blueberry-lemon, and vanilla. The maple and vanilla tasted almost identical - just sweet on sweet on sweet. The King Kong was better - it had thick, smoky bacon on top that at least gave it another dimension. The last one we got was the blueberry-lemon. This was the favorite for all of us - you could taste both flavors and the lemon was tart enough to cut through some of the sweetness. Additionally...these were VERY expensive. 4 donuts, 2 iced lattes, and a bottle of juice was $50! I had been looking forward to trying this place for a long time and it was just disappointing. I know, obviously, donuts are sweet by nature, but these were just ONLY sweet...and too sweet for us. The store is beautiful and I love the concept, but Five Daughters was a miss for us.
