    Maple and apple fritter
    William W.

I've been trying to make it to this place for years!! While the daily closing time is listed as 3:00 p.m., the store actually closes when they sell out of donuts. And as popular as this spot is, they sell out well before 3:00 every single day! So on several occasions over the past five years, I've driven an hour down to Lewisburg at 1:00 or 2:00, only to find a closed store at the end of a fruitless trip. Finally, I made the pilgrimage to the Lewisburg Donut Shop on a weekday morning and found it open! Hallelujah! And indeed, the donuts did not disappoint. The apple fritter is among the best I've had, almost as good as Fox's in Green Hills. But that maple with a soft, yeasty, melt-in-your-mouth dough is astounding! I can understand the lofty ratings now!

Cherry, pineapple & apple fritters with pecans.

Best fritters around! She makes them with cherries, pineapple & apple with pecans, walnuts or without nuts. I love this place. Sofia (owner) is such a kind & nice lady. If you're in the area, you need to try out this place. Cherry often sells out so you need to call ahead.

Another fabulous visit to Lewisburg Donuts. They are a bit out of the way but worth the effort. They have multiple varieties of fritters. I purchased an apple fritter, pineapple fritter, apple pecan fritter, and pineapple walnut fritter. Along with glazed and chocolate iced old-fashioned donuts. I called in advance of my visit and they saved the donuts for me. When I got there I was able to have curbside delivery and the process was seamless. Noodle soup. It's good

My new favorite place to go for lunch in Lewisburg. Noodle soup is fantastic! I've tried the shrimp fried rice and it was also tasty. Owners are nice people and the doughnuts are quite literally to die for. I love seeing family businesses like this thrive.

They have wonderful donuts, fritters.and other treats. My favorite are the chocolate iced donuts. They also have daily specials, the best fried rice, egg rolls. I just love the spring rolls, Everything is fresh, so good. The family works so hard to bring such wonderful food to Lewisburg. Friendly service, with great smiles. So worth a trip to Lewisburg, about 3 miles off exit 32, Interstate 65.

The portion size on breakfast sandwiches was amazing, and was very tasty! Will definitely be returning regularly.

First impressions from…read morethe parking lot don't say much, but once inside I was greeted with genuine Southern hospitality from who I assume was the owner and his family. They offered me a free glazed donut since it was my first visit, and it was superb -- soft, perfectly glazed, clearly handmade, and not full of air like Krispy Kreme donuts. I asked for recommendations and was pointed to the honey buns since they were out of their other best sellers. I ordered a honey bun and a maple éclair. The honey bun was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The éclair was cream-filled with maple glaze and absolutely delightful. The filling was a little too sweet for my personal taste (I'm not big on super sweet desserts), but that's not a knock on the place. In my opinion, about half the filling with that maple glaze would be perfect -- and adding bacon would take it over the top. They also appear to serve lunch, which looked very appetizing. I was there strictly for donuts this time, but I'll definitely be back to try it if the food is anything like the pastries. All in all, this place is a hidden gem. I highly recommend giving them a try if you're in the area -- you won't be disappointed. It's always great to support local businesses over corporate chains with half the quality. Give these guys a shot.

Unfortunately, what should have been a great experience turned into a very uncomfortable one. The gentleman who took our order was extremely rude from the start and made us feel unwelcome and clearly unwilling to respond to our questions about the menu. We initially gave the benefit of the doubt, assuming it might be a cultural misunderstanding. However, things only got worse. After we sat down, he never brought us water while consistently serving other tables. At one point, he even prepared a full table setting--with water and food--for a reservation that hadn't yet arrived, while we continued to sit there unattended. After nearly 30 minutes of awkward waiting, we were finally given water. What made the situation more concerning was the clear difference in how we(Caucasian Americans) were treated compared to other customers. He was warm, kind, and engaging with others--particularly those who appeared to share his background--but would not acknowledge or engage with us at all. The atmosphere became so uncomfortable that I made the decision to leave for the sake of my daughters. As a father, it was clear they felt unwelcome, and that was not something I was willing to tolerate. I left without asking for a refund due to what seemed to be hostility. We've had many wonderful experiences at Asian restaurants, but our experience at Daylight Sushi was deeply disappointing. We did not feel welcomed, and unfortunately, we were treated in a way that made that very clear. Wish this was not the case and hopefully this was a major misunderstanding!

There you'll find some, not a lot, of delicious baked goods. It's more about the building of rather than the doughnuts themselves. You choose a base doughnut as your foundation then you go nuts with the toppings. And toppings there are. Creamy, gooey, crunchy, some healthy looking, some healthy sounding, something for everyone. In this case the everyone were two of my grandchildren and did they ever go at it! One chose a powdered doughnut as their foundation and the other a glazed. They spent, it seems, like 5 minutes each choosing and directing the pile that was put on top. Both masterpieces in their own right. While they were chomping on these concoctions, my daughter and I were discussing how we would have attacked. First of all, we wouldn't have chosen a wimpy doughnut for the base. We would have gone all in with a Cinnamon roll. Those suckers are the size of plates! What a ground floor. Top it with apples, apple butter and caramel drizzle and you've got a caramel apple cinnamon work of art! Now we're talking. Try it for yourself. After all it's only like a billion calories. Quick Tip: The doughnuts are shaped as triangles. You can always tell yourself that you're teaching the kids trigonometry.
