At the same time, as a very picky Virgo, and an Asian, I also never feel comfortable leaving my apartment with anyone lol (what if they don't take off their shoes?!). I'll be honest- I couldn't help but worry the first time. But Nich was amazing. He was patient, friendly and so detailed in the everyday reports & pictures that we knew we had found someone who cared. So later on when we took a 2 week trip abroad, we weren't worried at all. We knew that LoveCats's got us and the cats. And Nich again was amazing- even our shyest cat that didn't come out at all the last time got comfortable with him. He notices when one of our cats were over grooming, took action to contact our emergency contacts and got medication for him. I'm grateful to have found LoveCats! It's everything I would want cat sitting to be and more, for instance, booking dates is seamless, responses are always within 24 hrs if not sooner, payment options are easy. The meet and greet with Nich was actually fun, he exudes a calm nature and even though I've had cats my whole life, he offered observations and informative dialogue and I quickly realized I'm dealing with a pro. Each cat is different and he's met a lot more than I have! As it turns out my transitioning to indoor feral cat is quite fond of him. You really could not ask for a better professional cat sitter than Samantha of LoveCats. First and foremost, it's obvious she loves cats. Used this cat sitting service for two different trips. I liked the daily updates with photos. One thing I didn't particularly like was how timid they were with my cat. Yes she is very shy and has a lot of anxiety. But I kept saying to use the banana and it wasn't used until much later on in the week on the first service. I would have preferred if they had not been so scared of taking charge. The second trip was last month. I was informed during the key pick up ($20 btw) that they don't want my mom looking after my cat at nights. Well two things, they raised prices since the first time so it was going to be much more in the end. Second, I really don't agree with the policy that my own mother is not allowed to look after my cat. The last straw though was that they cleaned the cat water fountain. I provided a pitcher to just refill the fountain which they ignored. Then proceeds to wash the filter and such not thoroughly so that when I got back and looked at the water, my cat had been drinking SOAP WATER FOR A WEEK. I tried getting my key back which they made a big deal but in the end sent it back by mail per my request. read more

I just have to say that I have been VERY pleased with LoveCats Cat Sitting! While I've only personally met Samantha, she has been a delight to work with. I hired LoveCats on two separate occasions for sitting. They are always extremely communicative throughout, providing updates twice a day. I also consulted with Samantha as to one of my cat's behavioral issues and I was amazed at how informative the session was. She really took the time to explain possible reasons for the issues and ways to solve them, as well as general information about how to make the cats more happy. Naturally, it takes some time to implement all the changes, but I am very happy with all the information received and look forward to our next session. They are definitely a very knowledgeable bunch and passionate about felines, which is great because most pet sitters I've found online focus on dogs. As to the cat sitting services, more specifically, the first time we hired LoveCats was really smooth. I was hesitant during the first hiring because our cats need to be separated due to behavioral issues, but we took a staycation to try things out and everything went really well, thankfully. The second cat sitting session came with some issues due to the cats having a confrontation (not at all the fault of LoveCats). Since it was during New Year's and our neighbors tend to set off fireworks which irritate the cats, one of our cats scratched through the screen door in the room where he is usually put away and ended up having a confrontation with the other cat during the night. By the time the sitter arrived, they were still at it, but she handled everything nicely, always being in communication about what was going on. She and Samantha created a game plan to separate the cats (which apparently took some time, not surprisingly) and they were able to recreate peace and harmony in the household prior to our arrival. Throughout the whole time, they were letting me know about what went on. They were also implenting all the suggestions I was making through their app (which is a great way to communicate). Communication is key, particularly with the issues we are currently having. Needless to say, I look forward to continuing to consult on this issue and, in general, learning about ways in which to be a better cat mom. Samantha has taken care of our two cats multiple times, and up to 3 weeks at a time. Both of my cats are not friendly with other animals and don't do well leaving home, so a home sitter is their best option. One cat also needs meds daily and that's no problem for her! I'm always sad to leave my cats behind when I'm out of town, but I know they're in great hands. To say I love and worry about my cats is a severe understatement. I used to take my 7 yr old Calico with me everywhere when I traveled. Recently I adopted a new cat and I cannot handle both in an airport or on a plane by myself.
