I was fortunate enough to end up in Christina's chair as a walk in several months ago, and I'm so grateful that I found her. She really takes her time and is able to do a quality "squoval" shaped gel-french manicure that is smooth, even, and doesn't peel or chip in less than 2 weeks. Like any other well-run business, they will not take a walk in if there is an appointment booked, even if it doesn't "look busy", which makes sure booked appointments don't walk in and have to wait, and I am really grateful for that consideration. They are a smaller salon so not being able to just have a "spur of the moment mani pedi" last minute is definitely not something most of us are used to, so I recommend calling ahead at least 24 hours and asking for Christina! read more

I went in for a pedicure while my 10 year old was getting acrylic nails. They barely spent any time doing the pedicure. Didn't massage my feet or anything. My feet are still dry and didn't get all the dead skin off. They only let my feet soak for at most 2 minutes. Then they charged me $60 for my daughter acrylic saying bc she got the coffin style and French tip it was more expensive. Why didn't they ask me first before doing all of that. Was so disappointed with the whole service. I will not be returning again. read more

Well I've been in highsprings a year now! I had my fingers crossed when I finally decided to try out this salon. Especially since it was the closest to my home. Unfortunately it was such a terrible experience. Way to expensive also. My nails and toes were $95. I backed out of half my service because I couldn't take the nail techs pushy attitude. The gentleman who did my manicure was so kind. I think if I'm the paying customer they should atleast try and accommodate simple requests I could continue with negative comments. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Came in as a walk in this morning, and had my inspo picture ready to go when I walked in for a pedicure and full set. Flipped through the color pallet for a good 15 minutes making sure I chose the closest color to my picture inspo, and I thought it was perfect. Proceeded to get my nails done and the color is a lot more purple than the swatch showed. I understand with acrylic the color can change slightly, but the color I chose was the color my toes came out and no where close to how my nails really came out. When I got my pedicure I wasn't asked what kind I wanted and only got my cuticles trimmed and my heels buffed ONLY. I still have calluses on both of my heels which is why I got the pedicure to begin with. Then she applied the gel polish to my toes and had walked away to deal with another woman while I dried. I pulled my foot back after the lamp turned off and it looked different. Just ready to leave I got up and went to the counter to pay, now the sign said $35 and up for acrylic sets (reasonable and I had no problem with that), then my pedicure on the sign since I didn't get a full service should have been $25. So I'm very unclear on how my service came out to $100 before I even tipped. I only gave a $10 tip because even though I wasn't totally happy they did still take me in. Once I left I realized how off the color really was which is in my third photo. Both came from the same shelf, same spot, labeled #30. I usually don't write a review when I have bad experiences but I felt I had to after my bill came to $110 for not even close to matching nails. read more

This is generally a great place to go with friendly nail techs. They do a very professional job. I'm always pleased with how my nails look. The lower review is for service. My daughter, her friend and I had an 11:30 appointment for Mani and pedis. My pedi was done almost right away but they did other peoples' nails and made me wait for the mani. By 2:30 they still hadn't done my mani. I was fed up so I paid for my pedi and left. The time of someone's appointment should be respected. I shouldn't have to be there 3 hours and watch other people with later appointments getting to go ahead of me. My daughter was actually very upset about the whole situation since we are regulars there. We've never felt so upset when leaving there. They did something similar to my daughter's friend at this same appointment. While they were doing my pedi she had to sit in the pedi chair for over an hour (not getting her toes done) before they grabbed her to do her mani. My daughter had to remind them they forgot to do her toes and my nails. At that point we were all so frustrated and felt forgotten that we wanted to leave. read more

I took my daughter in to get tips on for a dance. Showed the nail tech a picture. Basic thin French. The lady decided she would nicely guide us to thinking something else would look better. We bent a little going with white tips instead of clear. The white tips ended up being much too thick for my daughters small hands. The nails were not filed, cuticles weren't even cut back. Acrylic on nails are not smooth. I attempted to let them know several times I was not happy but the lady always came back with "this looks better". We went in at 5:30. Left at 6:30 and they locked the doors behind us because they close at 7. Maybe they just wanted to get out of there but needless to say it was a terrible experience for me and my daughter. read more

Had an appointment and 3 1/2 hours later after repeatedly having to be put off so they can finish on other customers! Very unorganized! They don't know who will show up that has appointments b/c nothing is wrote down. Awful management! No apologies or anything. I never saw them clean the pedi sinks with any kind of disinfectant or bleach (only use disposable sink covers). Never saw them disinfect nail drills or utensils used from other customers. there are absolutely no beakers on any stations that show cleanliness. I am not even sure they are certified techs to even be employed here as there are no certifications at an stations or on the wall- just basic city license etc. Older lady in there acts like she's better than anyone, is rude and charges you on things that should be included in your service such as taking prior nail color off for $5.00. I got pink & white gel dip and a week later they are already chipping, cracked and look disgusting. I will NEVER be back and will be sure to tell everyone about how awful this place is. Keep up the crappy work! Before long you will be out of business. You need to be reminded YOU are providing a service to US, not the other way around. Go somewhere else and save yourself the hassles, time, expense, fungus ridden, foreigner managed bias crap hole. read more

Every other Christmas we come to visit my dad in High Springs and my daughter and I always get a pedicure here. They are very friendly, we never have to wait long and they use hot stones when they massage your legs and feet-where we live that costs extra but not here. It is very clean and the smell is minimal which in my experience is a rarity. Kudos to them for doing a great job! By the way, it is NOT by appointment only everyday-only Sundays. We are always walk ins and they take us with a smile. read more

So I had a suggestion to go get nails done while hanging out with friends, cause I have 2 broken nails I've been meaning to fix. So we walk in and I just skipped over and then the women asked me what I wanted to do. I said I just need these 2 nails fixed, she proceeded to tell me she didn't have the powder to do them, I told her I don't want the glitter powder I have (which is regular acrylic with like makeup glitter in it...) and she's like no I don't have the powder it's new... I said no repeating myself it's regular powder idc just soak it off... she proceeded to tell me no it takes an hour to come off I don't want to. And once again I said it's regular acrylic.. and then she said she would fix it with regular acrylic like I asked in the first place and to pick a color, so I go to get up and she said not right now we really busy... and I look around and the only people in the salon are me and my 2 friends... needless to say I just got looked over and was told they weren't going to do my nails.... read more

Unlikely that you'll be seen here without an appointment. I've attempted to walk in for a simple fill on two occasions, and both times was told they were "too busy" to take any walk-ins (at all) that day. BOTH times they had zero people in the waiting area and only one or two customers at the table and more than enough employees. The sign clearly says "walk-ins welcome", but this obviously isn't the case. Today when I walked in I asked what time I could return or how long it would be because I had plenty of time to wait, and was told (with attitude) that they had "no idea" how long the wait would be because so many people had put their name down on the waiting list and they needed to call them to come back in. Apparently they allow you to put your name down and walk off, which is a novel idea. My daughter was getting her nails done there every other week for a while before she moved and never made an appointment and they always took her right in. My feeling is that they have plenty of "regulars" as a client base and aren't interested in new clients. And they definitely have terrible attitudes. read more

This was my first visit to this salon after moving here. I called and asked if they do dry-dipped nails & she said yes, it's $35. I made an appointment for 3pm, arrived at 2:30 & was told to pick my color by opening the dry-dip jars!! Messy! They they told me it would be $40, I told them you quoted $35 and she said the extra $5 was to take off my old polish!!! HUH! I should have walked out then but thought ok, I'll pay $40 to get my nails done. 2 hours later, I was still there, drying my nails. The nail tech filed my nails so roughly, my cuticles were cut & he filed them so short, they looked like I had broken a couple off!!! It was torture. Then, when I complained that I didn't get a hand massage with the manicure, he just laughed & said I'll give you one when you come back. I said, don't worry, I WON'T be back, ever!!! I did not have a good experience at this salon, and would not recommend it to anyone. First of all, I saw so many unsanitary things being done.. A foot stone was dropped then used on my heels anyways.. Implements were used then put back into the container to be used on another client without washing or sanitizing them. I also thought "the hot stone massage" was more like a vigorous rub than a massage. When I left my toe nails were not even, and to top it off a base coat wasn't used before polish either. I regret not saying anything in person but I just knew I wouldn't return. read more
