I've been going to nail first for years and I've never been disappointed. I usually don't ask for…read moreanything complex - solid colors, to keep it simple. today I thought I would try asking for a simple design since one of the nail techs there mentioned that she does designs for people all the time. I was with a different nail tech today, and I showed her the picture - just a simple French tip, sparkly, with a little gold bow painted on the end. I told her I knew my nails were shorter than the picture, and if she thought they were too small to do this design, then don't worry about it and I'll just pick a color. but she said it should be fine. I told her I liked the colors in the picture - sparkly white for the tip, gold for the bow. I kept the picture out on the table for her the whole time so she could see. when she got to the French tip part, she started painting them GOLD instead of the sparkly white. I thought maybe I was just not seeing the vision? maybe she was going to paint over? but nope, just straight gold. which I was resigned to just accept - it wasn't that bad, just a little gaudier than what I wanted. then she gets to the bow. she asks what color. I said "well the picture has it in gold, but since you did the French tip part gold, I don't really know what color you think would work. maybe red?" and she said "no, the tips are gold, the bow can be black with gold painted over it." I was so confused as to whether we were even looking at the same picture, but i didnt want to be disrespectful and I know this is her whole job and she knows way more about it than I do, so I didn't want to correct her. she painted the bow on HUGE, covering the whole nail, in solid black. then she painted over it in red. then in gold. then in silver?? and I just did not know what to say or do. I paid $70 for these. I know im such a pushover at this point but im just so disappointed. I don't come and do this often because its pricey and this looks absolutely nothing like the picture. Im not seeing a place to add a picture for the review as im typing this, but if I can find a way to do it I will. I think now I know that nail first is not the place to go if you have a specific design you like even if it's simple, or if you want to have more of a say in what your nails look like. If you want to pick a color and let the nail tech take the reins, this is the place to go.

They used to take pride in speaking English as well. I cant help but feel talked about. We really liked Kris she was amazing! But it has gotten so dirty and nothing is sanitized anymore, but they insist you wash your hands.. The ends for the Dremel tools are always dirty, never sanitized or new. It is awful filthy. Wishing y'all the very best but we have to move on. Hope this helps someone else. Look around so you don't get what I got. Very painful and gross.

From the outside...they looked closed but I decided to park the car and try my luck. Much to my surprise...they were open and I was welcomed by Amy, one of the 3 sisters that own the salon. The appearance is bright, clean and very welcoming. I needed a fill and a pedicure and was immediately seated in the big, new comfy pedicure seats with ultra vibrations...lol. Amy and her sister came over and we had a wonderful conversation for quite a while and we got to know each other and I learned that their other sister, who was not working there, had actually been my pedicurist at another salon in Gainesville. Tony, Cherry's husband, proceeded to give me a wonderful relaxing pedicure with an extended massage...my fav. He did a great job. After I was done with my pedicure, Cherry did my nails and it had to be the best manicure I've had in years. Perfect job. I love this place and I wish them the best of luck in their new endeavor. People need to know that there is a place here that optimizes the word service. Give them a chance and you will be more then happy. Mistake on my part...I think not....I found a new nail place that I will return to.

Pros: - owners are nice…read more - easy online booking - conveniently located on hwy 90 Cons: - not very skilled at nails beyond the basics - deceptive photos on google If you want something basic, this place is fine. If you want anything even a little elaborate, go somewhere else. I chose this nail salon because of the amazing photos they have on Google Reviews. I love nail art, especially during the holidays, so I was wanting simple glitter ombré, with snowflakes on top. I showed not only a pic of what I wanted, but a video as well. During my appointment it became apparent Jessica did not even know how to do gel glitter ombré, so I pivoted to just doing a simple layer of glitter on top of the neutral color I had picked out, so what I walked away with was nothing like what I asked for. My nail polish isn't super even, and I need to touch up the filing. I simply don't like my nails, and am disappointed this is what I will have for the holidays. I totally understand that not every nail tech is skilled at nail art, but then make that clear. Tell the client it's not possible, and that you can only do the basics. I would have just went with red nails if I had originally known what I was going to get by trying to get nail art. My pedicure was good.

Booking online is easy for two people with a variety of service options. Any time there were updates or changes, their front staff problem-solved effectively and always do their best to accommodate. Your lavish experience begins at checkout with a hot, scented towel. Next, you are brought to a delightful, gender separated locker room. The lockers are stocked with a towel, shoes (although I always bring my own slippers), and a silky robe to change into. There is a shower and sauna along with mirrors and vanity to prep yourself for post-relaxation adventures. Spa Royale's relaxation room is expansive. Unwinding officially starts for me when I get to put my feet up in one of their loungers with a hot cup of tea, mixed snacks, and/or flavored water (changes weekly). Their facials are heavenly and their massages are legendary! While the Grand Indulgence is luxurious, I would actually recommend the Himalayan Salt or Deep Tissue. The Grand indulgence and 90-minute facial are similar with the them massaging your arms and feet with body butter followed by warming mitts. The Grand Indulgence also adds an invigorating scalp massage complete with warm oil (Note: your hair has never felt so soft and vivacious... but you may not want to go to a 5-star restaurant dinner after). All their therapists are experts in their craft- a special shoutout goes to David! What I especially appreciate is their privacy and professionalism. They have a couple of dual rooms- which we usually pick. Great for mom/daughters or couples. You will feel comfortable the whole time! Bonus note: a new tradition for us is have lunch at the Cafe first. If you go, be sure to have the chicken quesadilla!! The coffees and smoothies are fabulous too.
