Knoxie's Table in Stevensville Maryland! What a gem of a restaurant! A little fancy, a little…read morerelaxed and all very good! The restaurant was hopping. Very crowded and lots of servers, bus people and workers. They were all moving around with great speed, carrying big trays full of food and constantly cleaning up after a table had been vacated. It was like watching some sort of massive choreographed musical number in a Broadway show. Almost every table was full when we arrived. Conservations and laughter rang throughout the restaurant all night. The activity added to the nice ambiance of the busy dining room. The food was very good. I started out with the half and half cream of crab/Maryland vegetable crab soup. Very good! Was it the best I have ever had? Probably not but it has nothing to be ashamed of. Okay, so maybe the thickening agent (flour?) was a bit heavy but I enjoyed the heck out of that soup nonetheless. I ate every drop and wished I had more! My main course was pecan crusted halibut. OMG fantastic! A huge piece of halibut that was perfectly cooked and presented. The sauce was delightfully sweet and savory at the same time. I loved that fish! You know what else I loved at Knoxie's Table? Sarah, our server! She was friendly, talkative, efficient, helpful and really nice to be around. From the moment Sarah introduced herself, she showed us just about the sweetest disposition of anyone I have ever met. And she was a great server on top of that! Thank you, Sarah, for making our dinner at Knoxie's Table a wonderful experience. It is a bit weird to drive over 1 hour to the Eastern Shore to go to a restaurant that is not on the water. Usually, when we drive that far, we are headed to a destination restaurant with beautiful views of the Chesapeake, cool breezes off the water or something to remind ourselves that we are in a different place. Here, in Knoxie's Table, you could be anywhere. You are not on the water, there is no view of a dramatic sunset, you don't see flocks of seagulls agitating each other for a scrap of food. But you go to Knoxie's Table on the strength of the food and, in our case, the luck of having a wonderful server like Sarah. I will have other meals where I see the Chesapeake or smell the fresh air off the Bay. But I will never have a dining experience as perfect as the one I just had at Knoxie's Table. I highly recommend Knoxie's Table to one and all!

There's something about the water, the breeze, and the quiet charm of this area that settles your spirit in the best way. A good friend of mine lives on Kent Island, and honestly, the best way to visit Bridges is by boat. Pulling up to a restaurant by water just hits differently. But don't worry you can absolutely drive here too, and the experience is just as lovely. Restaurants by the water are always a plus, but Bridges brings more than a view. It brings that easy, coastal energy that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and enjoy where you are. The kind of place where good food, good company, and good scenery all meet at the same table. Bridges Restaurant brings exactly what you hope for when you escape the city for a moment of calm; beauty, peace, and a reminder that life feels better by the water. Service is always great! I literally said this past weekend that this has to become a monthly occurrence! It's too good and too beautiful to just come once a year! Let's get into it! Stuffed Pepper - Amazing!! Thanks to the waitress for hyping these up. Seafood Tacos - Delicious! I would definitely get these again and would try the Mahi Mahi kind or whatever fish they have! So freaking good! Brought Hawaii Maui vibes back. Ancho Rockfish - Fish was excellent, grits were not a fave. Watermelon refresher - YES! These are dangerously good! I'll be back! And soon! Cheers! Perfect day activity for all you love birds! Romantic!

We arrived early when we walked up there were one guy in a yellow staff shirt. He was already talking to a lady and a young man so we waited they proceeded to talk. He looked up at us but never acknowledged, spoke or ask if we needed help. The second staff person arrived didn't say anything either. Eventually a person in or group said excuse me and asked about the tiki bar. They were very short "it's in the back" the other person stated " you have to through the restaurant to get back there " " it doesn't open until 11". The First Gentlemen then went on to continue talking to the lady and explaining in details the tiki bar and the restaurant. We then walked back to our vehicle as we waited until 11 for them to open. When we walked up this time the first staff person that was mentioned previously goes " hey welcome etc" . It was interesting that he was so much more welcoming the second time which at that time a different staff person was standing there with him. That staff person handing the menus to the waiter and we proceeded to head to the back. So you cannot bring in your beach towels and you cant swim in the water. If you wish to eat crabs you can only do it inside the restaurant not outside where the tiki bar is located. I did like the set up of the location and it was definitely a nice weekend vibe but also somewhere you can have a date night . You are right by the water they even have individual two seater set up for you to use. The wait staff was very nice and sweet. Kept checking on us the food and drinks were good. Beside the staff person at the entrance this was an overall great experience and I would certainly come back.

First, the restaurant has an amazing outdoor space with plenty of shade. Second, the outdoor area is very dog-friendly. Third (or maybe this should have been 1st or 2nd), Big Bats Cafe has amazing selection of draft beers, with pretty decent prices. Although this was our first visit, the staff and other customers made us feel like we were at our own local bar. I really appreciated that the bartender checked in on us a few times to ensure our food was fine and to see if we needed more refills. The vibe is really laid back, which was perfect after spending a few hours at the beach. The menu is more like comfort-style food with plenty of burger and sandwiches options. For our meals, we went with a crab cake sandwich and a fish sandwich, both of which included a side. I thought the food was pretty good, and I have no major or minor complaints. Also, I thought the crab cake had a decent amount of lump crab (for the price). It was interesting (in a good way) that the sweet potato fries had a bit of cinnamon and sugar. While the fries were a bit sweet for me, I did not find them to be overly sugary. Also, Big Bats Cafe has plenty of speciality cocktails include an assortment of Crushes. Our price tag (without tip) was about $70 for two sandwich combo meals, three beers, and two cocktails. All in all, we (including the dog) had a wonderful time at Big Bats Cafe and hope to visit again in the future.
