This shop is brand new and they are SOOOO loved already. By noon they are almost all sold out because people can't get enough of their baked goods! I'm so happy to hear that! I got an iced coffee and a chocolate chip cookie! The cookies was absolutely delicious! I'll be back (earlier) soon to try more of what they have to offer! Wishing them all the best!

Short review: Fantastic cakes and without hyperbole, unbelievable customer service. (Read the…read morelonger review for why.) We had the Vanilla Bean cake and Reverse pillow cookies and they taste as good as they look on the website. If you're looking for delicious homemade style cakes and cookies look no further. This is it. Longer review: My wife and I flew into Boston two weeks ago to celebrate our first year anniversary. We were staying out on the beach in Dartmouth and as part of the celebration I wanted to order a nice cake for the occasion. Being relatively new to the area I was not sure where to turn. And to complicate matters, we had gone vegan a few months prior. Enter Underscores Baked Goods satisfying the check-list. Do they have delicious looking cakes/cookies on the website? Check. Are all baked goods vegan? Check. Is their customer service prompt, professional and friendly? My questions regarding orders were replied back with 2 separate emails the following morning. Check. Check. Ready to order I called on Monday and spoke to Jennifer, the same person who I had been corresponding with. I told her the occasion and said that I was hoping to have the cake delivered by Friday since my wife's family was going to meet us that weekend. Normally there is a 1 week lead time, but she said she would try to get the cake delivered by Saturday. Saturday rolls around and at noon my mother-in-law looks outside and says she thinks the person from the bakery is here. I go outside and it is Jennifer. She is personally delivering the cake inside a wonderful gift bag WITH an anniversary card AND she's included 12 complimentary cookies ("one to commemorate each month of our marriage"). It is beyond thoughtful. These are the types of moments that Yelp, business reviews and word-of-mouth was made for. The cake and cookies were very good (moist, soft and unbelievably vegan) but it was Jennifer's extra care and effort that took what was a special trip and occasion and made it that much more memorable for us. Frankly, thinking back on it, I'm still blown away that this type of care exists. From my wife and our family, thank you very much to Jennifer + Underscores Bakery!

It's surprising too because they're entirely allergen friendly and there's not a lot of options for that out there, at least ones that taste any good. I just recently started ordering online since I saw that it was a new option and I'm excited to be able to stock up and get it shipped to my house. My favorite is the brookie!

Oh, this is it! Early Sunday morning folks buy malassadas by the dozen in big brown paper bags:…read moresugar or sugar & cinnamon. Except for Hawaii, where malassadas (fried dough) are covered with fresh tropical fruit, Goularts is the best I've ever had. And this is a town where folks are loyal to bakeries that have been making them for families for decades. Customers also pick up some 'pops' or 'papo secos' a dry roll for sandwiches or with dinner, and maybe say a few words in Portuguese. But I also came for nata, the egg custard tarts beloved in Brazil, Macau, Jakarta, and Goa, known as pastel de nata. And they did not disappoint, having both the traditional natas with flaky pastry & brûlée tops and at least half a dozen other types including Nutella, caramel, chocolate, passion fruit and more. Heaven! Service was quick and helpful. The ambiance is cute corner bakery catering to parents who bring home breakfast treats for their kids and family. And there's plenty of parking across the street next to the pretty park, which could be a great place to enjoy a fresh baked treat. Enjoy!

The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!
