Later that day, I saw Sin posted on their instagram that they were unfortunately closing the retail storefront and going back to focusing on custom cakes and speciality dessert orders. The last day the bakery will be open is Sunday, September 21st. I was so glad I was able to stop by before they closed.

A go to spot for me also. On to the review! I walk in and greeted by a very polite person asking me what I would like and started off with a loaf of Italian bread sliced. They grab the loaf fly to the back and before you know they are right back and asked if I wanted anything else and I asked for some torpedo rolls and while they grabbed that I scooped up some Hermit cookies (my favorite thing here!). We square up at the counter with a fast polite credit card transaction and I'm out the door ( watch the step going in and out). Typically my grandparents or mother make the trek to Fall River to pick up their fresh made bread, spinach and meat pies, but today I volunteered to make the drive there myself. While the building is large, the 'shop area' is small, consisting of an L shaped counter, a few shelves with some pantry staples, and two refrigerated cases with beverages, yogurt, and cheeses. There was a steady stream of foot traffic while I was there, people mostly popping in to get a few pies for lunch or stocking up on bread. The line moved quickly and efficiently and we were in and out in no time at all. Their pricing is reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. We spent just about $100 today, but came home with dozens of spinach and meat pies to share and enough bread to stock our freezer for a few weeks. Definitely worth the drive. Pro tip: order one day ahead for 'party size' spinach and meat pies - a smaller version of their traditional pies - which are perfect for any party or family get together.

If you don't know about Rhode Island pizza strips then you're missing out. The ambiance is perfect, just what it should be. A neighborhood bakery in an old neighborhood building. A few display cases filled with tempting pastry deliciousness, a counter with a couple of trays of pizza strips and some shelves holding beautiful loafs of bread.
