These are two of nine tipis on Interstate 90 known as "Whitwam's wigwams", designed by Ward Whitman, which are landmarks in South Dakota. They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. They are a nod to Native American culture and reflect the area's history and original inhabitants. We reserved the room long before the date. It's our policy she says. However no one told us when we reserved the room and no one bothered to call us. Then when we try to cancel they will not refund our money!!! We need a ADA ROOM, they did not serve us as a paying customer and we should not have been charged. Best Western do better. Hotels in general need to do better to accommodate those who need ADA ROOM. One room per hotel is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

We did not mind this at all, it felt secluded and romantic! The spa rooms were really cool! I LOVED the sand room! I wish we'd known they do massages; I would have booked some for us, but maybe they don't offer those in the off-season. The downtown location is awesome, it's so close to restaurants, bars, and Moccasin Springs. We will absolutely stay here again!!
