We stopped here on the way back to Florida from Atlanta via Chattanooga. The day of our visit, everything seems to live up to Love's "promise" of being clean and tidy. This one has the added convenience of a Subway and a McD right next door. The disappointment, which cost them a star? They don't care enough about customers to offer warm water in the winter. I tried all four faucets, with none offering that amenity. That's kind of low-class cost-cutting. Is it only temporary? Well if it is, they should have "loved" enough to pay a sign of apology. We went to this Love's which has Subway and McDonald's to park overnight. It's currently being renovated so it doesn't look as nice as it should. The showers and parking lot are small so I suggest to find a truck parking early. I found Salt & Vinegar chips here which I've never found at any other Love's truck stop. I will definitely be coming back here if I ever stop in Georgia again. read more

This Love's Travel Stop off of exit 283 in Emerson/Cartersville is a solid spot to pop off the interstate, refill, take a potty break and grab a snack. I have come to this location a few times on my way in or out of Atlanta, and each time is decent. The store and parking lot are in need of some TLC, but they do manage to keep it fairly clean, which helps. I usually see Love's attached to McDonalds, which this one has, but they have the added bonus of a Subway here. Overall, no major complaints. Love's Travel Stop is a pretty solid stop of you need gas in this area it is just off the highway and all in all, is a solid stop. If you have the app on your phone, you can save an additional dime a gallon on fuel. Love's Travel Stop has become one of my top brands I look for when needing gas and on the highway. Bathroom break and time for second coffee. Like most Love's, this one is right off the highway and easily accessible. There are separate entrances for cars and trucks but you still need to be on the lookout and give those trucks a wide berth. Inside, mostly clean restrooms with some paper that had missed the trash can but otherwise good. Coffee was ready to go and I got a large cup with a few ice cubes and a few little packets of creamer. Trucking in a Fiat with four wheels on the ground I find myself drinking coffee in a truck-stop just as the Georgia sun sets down, I'm still an hour from Atlanta as I take my twenty minute reset, jammin these gears has got to be a fever and sometimes I feel addicted to the sound. This five speed has been driving me crazy and the fuel light forced my hand I take her down a gear or two as I circle the fuel isle and shut her down 'cause men become addicted to the grind and it takes a special breed to be a truck drivin' like man... This Love's Truck Stop is dirty there's garbage around the fuel island, oil and gas on the pumps, a few travelers talking smack a few other smoking a blunt. I just wanna drink 'til I'm not thirsty and I don't wanna sleep 'til I'm tired, I just wanna drive 'til I run out of highway into the purple sky. This place is a madhouse no one near wearing a mask or standing six apart, it's grunge and gritty but it seems freedom has finally gotten a restart. This is Love's Travel Stop & Country Store #359 located just off I-75 exit 283 (Allatoona Road - Emerson) in Emerson, just south of Cartersville. This is a fine place to fill up if you're traveling on I-75 in northwest Georgia between Atlanta and Chattanooga. This is a popular and busy place. The convenience store, which is large, is integrated with both a McDonald's and a Subway. The gas station has 16 pumps. This is also a truck stop so there is a separate pumping area for trucks as well as a giant parking lot for the drivers to get some rest. I stopped by this Love's to fill up on my way back to Atlanta from nearby Woodland Hills Golf Club at Carter Grove in Cartersville. The gas prices were competitive and comparable to QuikTrip. I used pump #1 and it was in OK condition. The gas station is located next to a couple hotels (Sleep Inn, Hampton Inn) and other fast food joints (Wendy's, Chick-fil-A, and Krystal) plus sports and sports entertainment facilities (LakePoint Station and the LakePoint Sporting Community which includes Terminus Wake Park). A QuikTrip is opening across the street (it will probably already be open by the time you read this) which is sure to take away some of Love's business. read more

After speaking with both managers today, nothing more can be done about the inconsiderate drivers that block the fuel isles and exits, while they occupy those non-parking areas, thereby preventing other drivers from entering and exiting in a timely fashion. This location needs a serious redesign to get our business in the future, as we have crossed it off our regional list to refuel and cat scale. What a circus is our closing thoughts. read more

We had a great experience at this Love's. The interior was very clean and the employees went above and beyond. The line for the women's restroom was extremely long and an employee quickly made several of the shower rooms available as restrooms to help people get in and out quickly. At first we were a little sketched out by the idea but the shower rooms are actually pristine! Some customers weren't following social distancing guidelines but we felt safe in general here. read more

This is my second time coming here. Traveling from Cincinnati down to Augusta Georgia is a hike, so this is my spot to get gas. It is ALWAYS packed. Yes you do wait in line to get gas but it goes by quickly. It's one of the better truck stops I've been to. It is convenient because everything is there. From good selections of snacks, to go hot meals, coffee, drinks, alcohol etc. You can even get lottery. Bathrooms could be a little cleaner, but they do their best. There is also a Subway and McDonalds (drive thru available as well) connected next to the convenient store. Plenty of parking before or after you gas up. Located in this gas station is Subway. *Buyer Beware * If you order a footlong sub sandwich (with or without a combo) they up-charge you to a large drink without telling you. I asked the cashier and manager on duty, and both stated anytime a foot long sub is purchased they are instructed to up-charge the drink. You cannot order a regular size drink with your foot long sub, unless you order a 6 inch sub. Each sub has its own drink size. The typical Subway signs are posted stating the sub price and how much extra for (combo) chips and drink. However, I was told by the 2 employees they cannot honor those prices advertised. I contacted Subway about this. They did not respond. Just make note of this, if going to this location. They are sneakily trying to increase their average transaction and profit margin hoping no one will catch them. If you're traveling South on I-75 in Georgia, this Love's Travel Stop is easy-off, easy-on and filled with everything you need in a decent pit stop. Gas is relatively cheap ($2.09 for regular unleaded on 1/8/15) and there are many food options: McDonald's; Subway; convenience store snack foods. However, the restrooms should be better maintained and cleaned. I don't care how busy a place gets, these areas need to be spotless. Several stalls had missing locks, and it seemed evident the ladies room had not been cleaned for several hours. They do have paper towels, though, which I prefer. Another nit - I really needed to clean my rear window, but all the cleaning fluid was frozen due to the unseasonably cold weather in Georgia. I wish they'd taken at least one inside overnight or brought out new cleaning fluid as the temps climbed above freezing. read more

This place really need to get their employees to do their job that they sign up for. Tire tech is security and cashier is neighborhood watch. The their shift manager or supervisor needs to go. So they close the shop just so the tech can walk around the store drinking coffee or pop. They are so worried about the parking lot that they forget to install new toilet paper, clean the test room, install new towels in fuel station. They even call the cops on you for no reason. 4am and they call the cops on me, and yes I was in a parking spot between the lines not blocking anyone at all. I have a straight truck so I decided to take a spot in the front parking structure. It wouldn't be right to take a entire parking spot in the back. You bet I'll be calling lives corporate and making my voice heard. read more

This is right off of highway I-75. Wow! What a busy place! Amazingly, it runs quite smoothly for such internal mayhem. There is a McDonalds and a Subway sandwich shop in this place. Great hats! All the quickie foods and beverages you would ever need. Fuel was lower here than at my house.....and this place is right off the highway! Best place for ice too. Oh! Did I mention that this place has Great Hats, and at good prices? You know, I just walked by the shelf where the hats were on display and, one of those cowboy type straw hats just jumped right off the shelf onto my head. I mean, at that point it was pretty clear that on such a hot sunny day.......well you know what I,m talking about. When I got to the lake the first thing my brother mentioned was "my new hat". I told him about the "hat jumping off the shelf" phenomenon(but for some reason he did not believe me). However, he too had purchased a hat from Love's as well and voiced his satisfaction. Anyway, I like the layout of this place. Cars and trailers have the parking lot in front of the building, with all the gas pumps. The big rigs have the big wide open areas in the back with the diesel pumps. This gives them the room they need to move around. They have another area to park and rest. The way it is laid out cars and big rigs cannot mix. This keeps the cars from scampering about around these metalic monsters. There was another section inside the store that sold truck items. I simply ran out of time, therefore, I will have to save that section for another visit. I may have to plan some extra time for browsing since it appears I missed several areas due to time constraints. This makes for an excellent reason to return and check for a new inventory of hats. 80/100 read more

We had parked along the red painted line just to do our 30 min DOT break. A guy came out and waived for us to move. He didn't even have to curiosity to walk up and ask us to move. When he came back from asking two other trucks to move, I called him over. I explained to him that my co-driver had went inside to use the restroom and to buy coffee. The LOVES employee started yelling about us parking along the painted red lines and something else about a truck coming to do something. This truck was not even on the property as of yet. As he was walking away, a police officer showed up cause he called them. Luckily I decided to jump in the front seat and move the truck to the fuel island. Calling the police was uncalled for and he could of just been more understanding that we were planning on leaving soon. To the LOVES employee: Dont be a dick. I love truck stops! I like going inside and exploring all the interesting and entertaining things for sale. Looking for a leather Nascar jacket? How about camo lingerie for that special lot lizard in your life? Don't forget the glass case full of crystal horses, hearts and other random dust collectors. Have you seen the chili/cheese dispenser by the Fritos? You literally push a button and the magical sauce comes out like hot lava. You can put it on hotdogs, hamburgers, chips or even in to your mouth...no judgements! Too bad they don't sell those machines! Loves has the cheapest gas for miles; always at least 5-10 cents off per gallon than their competition. They have the cleanest restrooms and the staff is always helpful. Next time you're up in the sticks, need to fill up and pick up the latest Billy Ray Cyrus CD, stop at Loves! read more

This loves was more like a TA. Bathrooms had no seat covers and were disgusting, it has a very small lot with minimal parking, and unprofessional staff. I drive a box truck with a sleeper that is small enough to fit into the RV parking in front of the store but as I am going to sleep some punk puerto rican kid comes banging on my truck telling me to move because he's the assistant manager and the store manager doesn't like box truck in front. I told him I was out of drive time on my e-log and he insisted I still move. If you're not a badass trucker who doesn't mind cussing folks out in order to have a normal Love's experience, then stay far away and go to a walmart parking lot, a TA,or a pilot. FYI I've driven 40,000 miles between New York and San Diego in the past 3 months and no other Love's has EVER treated me this way. read more

This place has gotten extremely busy over the years. Used to be you could get in and out on the diesel(trucker) side. But that was before they built all the businesses around Loves. We don't even bother driving through Emerson to get home in Cartersville anymore, that's busier too. You're lucky if you're able to get in, fuel and get out in under 30 minutes here. Really causes a back up when a driver is trying to park since this is a one way in, one way out place. The place isn't terrible on cleanliness the times I've gone inside. Only food is Subway and McDonalds here. But hey at least it's a very short walk to some other places next door. read more

the manager on duty the evening of 8/12/17 was SO HELPFUL to me. i did not get his name but my 20 y/o daughter locked her keys and her phone in the car and i called the store to ask him to go outside and let her know that I had called roadside assistance (above and beyond his job) He happily said he would go outside and tell her and for that I am grateful. on the otherhand I called the Emerson police and they said they would not go help her and I would have to call a locksmith. Long story short a Bartow county policeman happened to be there when the manager came out to deliver the message and the bartow county police opened her car. I enjoy this location because they offer a 24-hour Subway and a 24-hour McDonalds. This location is in Emerson even though it has a Cartersville address for mailing purposes. I previously gave this business a five-star rating, but have recently experienced a bait-and-switch fraud scheme at the tire center. Beware the tire center at this Love's location. Otherwise, this Love's is very nice aesthetically and the 24-hour restaurants are very nice. read more

Decent truck stop. We stopped here to grab some food while driving from Atlanta to Murfreesboro. There is a McDonald's and a Subway. Gas station gets pretty busy especially with truckers. Montreal 10 states with Work and I have grown to love loves truck stops. I'm not a trucker but I do stop there a lot of times late at night because I feel safe there are always clean and if you have trash to put out of your car is always available to do so. As though I was not at work this week I just stopped at the love's on my way to my grandparents. I must say this is the dirtiest nastiest filthiest loves I have ever been at. Just the thought of looking outside and saying every trash can full from from every point this out here to the smears on the glass to the paper towels being out I decided that I would not eat at McDonalds I would go to Chick fil A across the road because if you keep your parking lot looking like that what are you keep your restaurant and store looking like. Granted it's 9 a.m. I understand you're busy but the trash is overflowing in the parking lot so that goes to tell me that that's more than just a couple hours of busies that's just nasty. I can say I'll never be back at this love this is more like going to the off road truck stops in the middle of the Arkansas that has nowhere else to compete with. So highly disappointed. read more
