Stopped in here on a recent road trip and their motto "clean places and smiling faces" is alive and breathing at this location. Came here for gas, bathroom break for us and our dogs. One thing super nice about this location is the dog park/bathroom. It's a large gated off area with plenty of room for your pet to roam. While they have poop bags available for the customers some customers don't believe in cleaning up after their dog which is completely rude. Inside the minute you walk in was the "smiling face" welcoming us into Loves. Then the "clean places" this place is immaculately clean. The restroom was so clean and despite the amount of traffic this place probably gets it was absolutely above standard. Great location and for sure will be one of our favorite stop off places while traveling.

The lady that check me out was rude and gave me a dirty look. The dog spot is small and no shade. One of the bathroom stalls was also gross.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge if you're not familiar with side streets to use. But for the most part I walk in instead of driving. I enjoy walking to catch the many murals in the area. Often you have to veer off south Virginia Street to see many of them. It's worth it. So many great small locally owned businesses. New clothing boutiques and shops that offer recycled clothing. Many bars that range from fun divvy to a bit pricey with attitude. Venues to catch small music concerts, plays and improv performances. And then there's the restaurant scene- ice cream, brunch, Thai, Mexican, steakhouse, pizza, sandwiches, bakery and more. Take a day, maybe several and explore everything Midtown has to offer.

Unlike the Four Corners Monument that is the…read moreonly point in the United States where the borders of four states--Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah--meet, making it a unique geographical and cultural landmark, we have nothing. I think they should draw a line down the street at least on Stateline Avenue (even though the state line doesn't follow the street) and Highway 50. They can paint a line on the street as far as they can so we can have the novelty of standing in two states. The best we can determine is the true line is the casino's property lines Caesars Republic of Lake Tahoe and Harrah's Lake Tahoe. But if would be so much more fun if there was a line in the street so we can hop back and forth and make a fun video leaving the state, coming back, and doing a little gig on the state line. Out of all of South Lake Tahoe and Reno my husband loves the businesses and vibe of the State Line Area. We were there this past weekend (2nd week of March 2026) and he picked the hotel, and of course it was in the State Line area. We stayed at the Quality Inn a few steps from actual state line. Then we hung out at South of North that is a step or two from the actual state line. You can look out of their patio and see Caesars Republic of Lake Tahoe. On our last visit to Tahoe we went to Caesars to watch the 49ers game and Raiders game. We sat in there sports betting area in their viewing room. We got hungry so I walked out the back door of the casino which is located in Nevada, walked across the state line, went to South of North which is in California. And walked back all in 15 minutes. It would have taken less time if I had called in my order. To be fair we went back and forth between states a lot of times during that trip. On that trip we stayed in Nevada at Bally's, frequented all of the Casinos to watch all of the football games that weekend, and there were a lot. After and between the games we spent a lot of our free time in California. I really enjoyed going to California and playing golf at Tipsy Putt and enjoying the restaurants in Heavenly Village. Nevada needs to create their own version of Heavenly villages and all the shops in the area, so we'll spend equal time there as a family and not just go to Neveda to gamble. They did build Tahoe Blue Events Center so there is one type of entertainment that isn't gambling in Nevada, but they have so much room they can create other forms of entertainment, restaurants, and shopping opportunities.
