We tried 4 different beers and they were all great. America, Amber Ale, Kolsch and the Bkack Amber. We ordered the wing basket and the wings were perfectly cooked. Also ordered Almost Cubano was very good.

Very cool new brewery in Fernley! Roomy, with tv's and games! Great beer selection and they serve pretzels and paninis. We tried the Jalapeño ale, the Chocolate milk stout and the Red-Aye IPA. They were all delicious! This is a wonderful addition to Fernley!

We sat in the patio on a cool spring evening. Poof! They turned on the giant fire pit! Yea!…read more Our party of 5 all tried different menu items. Burger, pastrami sandwich, BLTA, fish & chips, and the brisket. The Tahoe IPA beer was great. Kids all ordered soft drinks, plenty of refills offered! We all enjoyed our meals, except brisket boy. He was expecting BBQ brisket, but the plate was more of a roast beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, and veggies. Fish & chips were pretty good, with 2 nice sized chunks of cod. The sandwiches were nice, burger solid! The fries were really good, seemed like fresh cut. When I looked at what others were enjoying, we observed that the wings look to stand out. Next time we'll explore wings & fries....and more beer! Service was attentive and the patio very pleasant!

The good: Our server was great. She was personable. But she did mislead us when describing how…read moreeverything on the menu was good. But at the same time, it would be silly to hear a server say bad things about the menu items to their guests. So, she was just doing her job. The bad - The food. Of all the things we ordered, the cheese curds were the best thing cuz...how could you go wrong with frozen items you throw in a fryer? Anyway, we also ordered the Fried Pickles. I enjoy fried pickles, but holy sh*t these were SALTY! These pickles were more like chips. They were actually light and crispy which is unusual as fried pickles are typically still soft and and keep their integrity after being fried in a batter. These, however were like, dehydrated pickles that were battered and deep fried. I really liked how crispy they were, but with how salty they were, we couldn't finish it. Chicken Pot Pie - one of the more popular dishes ordered. It looked great when presented. The top crust looked nice and thin like a cracker, but when I dug in, the filling was runnier than what I am used to. But more importantly, the flavor was off. I assume they use a frozen pie crust because it didn't taste buttery at all. It had a weird chemically taste. I missed having that rich buttery crust a pot pie should have. The filling didn't taste great either. Also, had a weird chemically taste to it. I almost think they use canned chicken based on the flavor and texture it had. I was so looking forward to a homey comforting pot pie. It's not often I get to eat one of these, but this one fell way short of my expectations. The Lamb Burger - My husband loves lamb and it's not often you see a lamb burger anywhere. He was so excited to have this, but was so disappointed after taking his first bite. He said it was so bland. I took a bite. And while it did taste of lamb, I agreed it lacked seasoning. Now, THIS needed some of the salt that were in those pickles. Lol! Foxy Fried Chicken - A panko fried chicken breast. It was good. Mashed potatoes were good and the veggies. I didn't expect this dish to be spicy though. I don't know if the cook went heavy handed on the pepper, but the veggies and mashed potatoes it was served with had a kick to them. Meh. All in all, we wouldn't return. There was nothing we had that made me feel like this place had potential and worth making another visit to. We did order quite a few things and everything, but the curds were lackluster and a disappointment.

The oversized Bloody Mary was a treat and drank it all! Food was delicious. Tried the appetizer Brussels sprouts, their french fries are the best and loved them! Their chicken wings in the Asian sauce. Finely a favorite. We tried the avocado board and it was the best. Large platter of avocado, fresh dressed salad, roasted veggies and cherry tomatoes, crispy potatoes and bread slices. Even tries their brûlée cheesecake, delicious. My go-to for brunch is the breakfast sandwich however, I decided to get the spinach and artichoke quiche, which I was a little disappointed to see comparatively to their other menu items. Whilst still very fluffy and enjoyable, next time I'd pivot to one of their more popular items, like the depot burger

Love their beers, although I favor their selections of West Coast IPA's over the NE types and Lagers, all the beer they make ia pretty great. This also helps me support more businesses! But I am open minded with your new food menu, and look forward to a more expansive future menu than just pizza. Took my buddy here today; a long awaited field trip for him. Thanks for always coming up with new flavors of beers, keeps me coming back and trying more and more and more. So many varieties are for sale, and the more you buy, the more you save. See pictures. Superbowl sale, etc. We sat at a table in the back and when bar seating became available, we moved up front for faster service and more beer, lol. Today we got the following: Reno as F - I always seem to get this, maybe just because it has the name Reno in it, lol. My usual everyday red. My buddy got the following - Tahoe Haze and Emerald Bay IPA; he enjoyed them both. Oh, they also have wine, but who comes to a brewery for wine?!?! See picture. Ambiance - Not many or any changes. Huge warehouse production location. Small "tap room" lounge area. Then the huge warehouse space, "play space" - See pictures of all the games available for us. Two bars, see pictures. Plenty of seating, lounge, table, counter, bar, etc. Free wifi, but I did not use it. Tap room hours from noon or 1pm to 8pm, 9pm, or 10pm. See my picture or Yelp. Decent size parking lot, but the best spaces seem to always be full. Got lucky today, but on all the other visits, I have had to park in the back. BTW, do NOT park in the neighboring lots as you will get towed, see my picture. Service - Counter service, but good and professional. She offered me to try the new flavors, but as a creature of habit, I seem to always go back to my usual beers. Self service water station. Happy hour available, but only from 1-4pm and I am trying to NOT drink so early. Price - $7 to $8 a beer. Expensive, but that is the cost for quality! Owner Comment - Revision, congrats on all your success since 2017. I have been a loyal customer! I even buy your beer from Costco, lol.

If you ask me for places that stand out in the greater Reno-Tahoe region brew scene, The Good Wolf…read morewould be near the top of the list. For years now, I've been saying these guys make some of the best, most unique beers in our area. And anyone looking for a solid pint or some creative things to try, would do well to swing by. Firstly, I absolutely love the location. It's a cozy little spot in the north Truckee industrial area. But step through the doors, and you enter a space that can only be described as a mix of hippy commune and witch's lair, with some delightfully quirky decor, and an incredibly friendly staff. Really does feel like a hidden gem. But as for r the beers themselves; in short, I think these are some of the best quality, and most niche types of brews you'll find around here. They have a smaller menu, but what they have is dominated by their Forest Beer series. These are concoctions made with all sorts of foraged ingredients from the forests, fields, and farms close to Truckee. Always changing, it is something to try out. The Borrowed Bines used fresh cut hops, the Bay Shore uses locally culled bay leaves, the Range of Light uses picked juniper berries, and the Dirt Candy uses mushrooms that grow in the woods. They also have been breaking into brewing their own apple cider, which is delicious but quite strong. Plus, they will usually have N/A options with their house lemonade or brewed soda on tap, too. So yeah, the menu almost certainly has something for everyone. Prices for everything are pretty typical.for the area, usually around $8-9 per pint. Though my one sort of gripe is that the smaller 4-5 ounce tasters are like $4 each, a bit pricier than most other tasters, so that makes it quickly more pricy to try out a lot of their menu. If you want any beers to-go, sadly they only offer a few at this juncture, and in bottles. And there is no food here, just a few snacks for sale. But make sure to browse their swag stands, as they have some eclectic merch. All in all, I definitely encourage any beer fans to come and check this spot out. Been one of my favorites for years, and I'll bet it can easily become one of yours, too. Cheers, all!

I was a little disappointed that the special I had previously ordered wasn't available, since it was so delicious, but I tried the Salmon Tacos from the regular menu instead. The tacos are just absolutely delicious. After my meal, I had a little more work to do, so I was somehow convinced to order dessert. Cake and ice cream are my absolute favorite, and this cake was gluten-free, so I had to say yes. It was so good. The ice cream tasted homemade. The vanilla flavor did not taste artificial. The cake was moist and fell apart with a fork, but it had a slightly crispy edge around the top. It was so good. I was 100% happy with my lunch today, and the servers were super accommodating. Thank you, Andrew, for the excellent service, and to the friendly host who handled my awkward request for a square table. A fantastic experience!

Cut and pasted from their website: "Slieve means "A…read moreMountain" in Irish Gaelic, their family roots." Quality/Quantity - Been an extremely long stressful day! So I NEEDED a break from the day to just relax and stop thinking! I gave my wife a few options, a few breweries to choose from (or for me to just go alone, which she would not have let me drink and drive, especially all the way from North Reno). So she/we chose to go to Slieve as I have not been there yet. Actually, all 3 choices were breweries. The good news is that there are more and more new breweries opening. The bad news is that there are more and more good breweries closing, in ALL my hometowns... My first time in a nano brewery; cool. Today I got (and tried the following), all Slieve brands; support local: Oh, I did not know you had a happy hour M-F from 2-5pm; I just missed it by 13 minutes... Should not have spent so much time outside taking pictures for Yelp, lol. Pale Ale - Good, but I prefer more flavor. This is currently my second "go to" beer after reds. Jimbo Porter - Better, but then I tried the Cookie Monster! I also did not taste the coconut. Cookie Monster - My favorite of the beers, so much flavor. And I am NOT usually a sweet beer drinker. It was not an overwhelming stout, probably due to the sweetness, but you can definitely taste the chocolate and slightly coffee and caramel flavors. I would get this again, but it would always have to be my last beer due to the flavors. Beers that I need to come back for when available are: Your reds, IPAs and of course your "Trinity Tripel." Ambiance - On your "about" page on your website, it says you are still looking for a home for your brewery...? Is that accurate or does that page need to be updated? Cool space, indoor and outdoor seating. Bar and table seating. 2 bars, one the back, probably only used for events. Semi private room when you walk in. Ping pong, darts, games, cornhole, cool decor on walls throughout to read, etc. Open 7 days a week, see their website. Yelp's hours/days differ slightly. Event spaces are available; see their website.. Service - Good. We were also greeted by Shannon when she and Phillip came in later for a drink or two... Phillip was too busy drinking to say hi, lol. Price - $8 a beer. The typical cost for good craft beer. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 2022 with your nanobrewery; I wish you the best and am glad you own the building to help you weather some "storms."

We got there a little early to pick our spot at the bar. We were greeted by Shannon the owner. She is a lovely lady and later met her husband Phil. They have owned Slieve's for about three years. They have a spacious building and super clean! The staff are friendly and accommodating. There is no food on the premises to purchase, but you can bring your own food or ordered inn. It was fun to sample Girl Scout cookies and taste beer. We started with 6 tastings but they threw in a couple extra. The event was well organized and the Girl Scouts were there to sell their cookies. I was a Girl Scout 50 years ago. I think a box of cookies was $1.00 - $1.25. I paid $7. Times have certainty changed. The brewery is in an interesting location that I never knew existed before, but now I do and look forward to my return. Thank you for making our day fun and memorable!!!
