For what it is its a decent truck stop. Never edict anything fancy or frilly here. It's a good place to get fuel and the like. As with all other truck stops, prices are high but it is what it is. Only downside is that this is in Tacoma there's a few seedy characters around. Not horrible but worth noting if here for more than ten minutes. Ok been coming here 7+ months for my job and today got harassed by an employee over parking. I gassed up then pulled forward as I was told to do when I first started going there. I went in to get a sandwich. As soon as I sat down to eat on my 30 min break during my 13 hour shift a voice came over the speaker telling me to move my truck or be "towed" so naturally I asked where should I move it and an employee said to one of the parking spots, so I got in my truck and drove over there, there were no spots so I went back off to the side of the pumps so people could get through. I then went down and tried to eat my sandwich. I was then approached by this belligerent old guy who said "you can't park there take your sandwich and get out" I politely told him I'm just going to finish my sandwich and go, he then informed me that security is going to remove me and I was just kind of like ok man have a good day. I was then approached by an armed security guard who in a polite way told me the same thing(nothing against the security guard he was just doing what he was told). I said I'm just gonna finish and go which I did. I then went out side and this some old dude who was acting like a total Karen was outside my truck telling me I'm calling your work you can never come here again. Anyway my boss was mad and he thinks now none of our trucks can go there. Idk what's really going on but needless to say I'm done with this place. There seems to be some kind of issue with parking but for this dude to cause a huge scene when I was leaving anyway is kind of extreme. The morning crew when I go there seem ok but this afternoon crew seem very disorganized. I've always pulled ahead of the pump and went in and ate and never had an issue. LOVE Loves & Godfather's inside! Old school pizza, reminds me of growing up, and having godfathers pizza. They've got the mini pizzas, they've got the full-size pizza. And there's an incredible truckstop right here called Loves that's just kind of fun to shop in. I was shocked to find the wide selection of Bluetooth headsets. I won't go to Best Buy. I won't go online. My next Bluetooth headset will be right here at Loves. If you use a Bluetooth headset at all, they have the biggest selection of BlueParrott, which is the standard of headsets the truck drivers use. From stereo to mono, mini different varieties, and if you've used Bluetooth and BlueParrott, you know these guys are the best. Now everything else you need is at loves too, and if you need a shower, you could do that also. I skipped the shower. I took the godfathers pizza home, and we got a large so we'd have leftovers. Basically, this is a truck stop in Tacoma combining all the best parts of gas stations and convenience stores. Its proximity to I-5 really drives home the fact that this place is great for a temporary break, i.e. you buy what you need, maybe use the bathroom, and go. After the entrance and to the left are two mini-restaurants: Subway and Chester's chicken. Virtually all of your basic food needs can also be covered here. I was parked in my commercial van which I do transporting of good with just like any truck driver. Was parked in a over night spot and was told by the security to move down to the pilot express down the street and park there for over night. I drove down there parked there for a couple hours did not see a single truck in site. Went to take a nap and was woken up to the homeless banging on my van trying to get in and rob me. I woke up and drove back to this location and walked inside and asked the lady if I could park here over night. She politely said you can as long as you park on the perimeter and not in a truck parking spot you should be fine. I knew they had fried chicken here but it took me several years to finally make a stop. What a disappointment. The bad reviews on the chicken are true based on the reviews Overpriced Overcooked Tasteless and by tasteless I mean...did they even put ANY seasoning into the fry mix? GOOD GAWD! Bad oil I ordered a 3 pc snack box and it was all thighs because they charge a ludacris amount for a breast. They gave me what looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamp way too long. Probably was. Also ordered giblets. Wow..a ridiculous wait for them to fry fresh...but wholey cow. The oil must be so old because it tasted badly burnt and looked burnt. The giblets..I could barely swallow any of it. They charge you for a dip such as ranch, but they will give you their gravy. Um...that wasn't all that good either. For what they were charging for both the chicken and giblets, they needed to give me a ranch dip or 2. It looked so dirty back behind the counter. The flooring is all jacked up. They should plug a few dollars into that place. Makes me wonder what the space behind the wall from the front end looked. Kind of scary. I had to dig deep to find something good to say. Okay a turck stop is a truck stop, you cant ask for perfection but today was the worst shower experience I've ever had on the road. The shower smells worst then me, it smells as if they use the same mop threw out the whole shower for the remainder of the day.
