The selection of items at the Rockville showroom is vast. There are lots and lots of pieces to test out and look at. Everything I saw was very high end and the prices were good (not cheap but I do not expect cheap prices for furniture). Alex, the sales person, was great. He has worked for Hamiltons for over 20 years and it shows. Alex is knowledgeable, helpful and provides just the right amount of attention. He was there when we had questions and not there when we were testing out the furniture for comfort and deciding which style we liked best. He kept checking in every so often. Alex's personality is pleasant and he is not pushy at all. In short, he was great. Hamiltons should be very proud of him. The other sales associate was also very friendly and smart too. However, we did not work with her very much. She did bring us water when we looked like we were ready to fall asleep. Like Alex, she was right there when we needed her. I was beginning to think about reupholstering mine because it is over 20 years old and after 20 years of grandchildren climbing all over it it was showing its age. As soon as I walked in I was met by Mustafa who asked if he could help me find what I wanted. I told him about my chair and how I was hoping to replace it rather than reupholster it. I took out my phone and showed him some pictures of my chair and ottoman and the sofa that is in the same room. I also showed him photographs I took screenshots of on line of chairs made by Craftmaster. He began showing me Craftmaster chairs but none felt nearly as comfortable as the chair I have. Then he asked if he could show me chairs made by another company that is also made in the United States, called England. I said yes and as soon as I sat in one I knew I found a chair that was as comfortable as what I was hoping for. I also liked the style of the chair. However it had a mechanism that allowed you to put your legs up and I wanted an ottoman. He told me no problem, it came without that feature and with an ottoman. Then I asked him about fabrics that chair came in and he brought me over to the fabric area, which was impressive. He pulled out the most perfect color fabric which amazed me. I was thinking this was too good to be true and asked him the price. I realized it was going to cost me less that reupholstering my chair. I told him I would bring a cushion from my couch to be sure it matched since he had only seen a picture of my couch on my phone. When I got home I looked at reviews of the business and was stunned at how bad they were. How could they be so awful when Mustafa was so nice to be and so skilled at finding me the perfect chair, ottoman, and fabric at a good price. I was tempted to not go back... but fortunately I did. I brought my cushion in to show him and sure enough... the fabric he picked was a perfect match! I bought the chair and ottoman. Mustafa was delightful to do business with. Perhaps some of the other salespeople are not as nice or as good, but I was lucky to get the salesman I did. If you go there, I recommend you ask for this salesman. The furniture and rugs are in this showroom are beautifully displayed, and there is a wide range of style for everyone's taste. The showroom is not at all crowded. Now that I saw what they have and how reasonable the prices are, I look forward to updating more of my furniture and rugs with this salesman in the future.

My family and I are big advocates for supporting local businesses rather than big box companies. However, we expect from all, big or small companies, respect and exceptional customer service. This is not what I experienced at this store. I went into the store looking for a sectional and possibly also a dining table. The salesperson was very attentive and willing to answer my questions. Before purchasing the sectional, I decided to check out other stores that same day to make sure I was getting a relatively good price and wasn't missing out on something else. I returned to the store the next day with the intention of buying the sectional but this is when it turned.... I asked the salesperson if the price for the sectional was the best given I saw another couch very similar at another store for less. He told me to speak to the owner regarding the price. I told the owner that I saw a similar couch for less and he told me they weren't the same. Of course I knew that! I asked him what the difference was and he gave me a short response - the quality. Ok... that was a general response so I asked further, "what about the quality?" He answered, I don't know how to explain. After a few seconds, he said.. the fabric.. warranty. Alright so then he asked me "is this your first time buying a couch?" And I said, yes. He then looked at the salesperson and said, "you see". He then said, "how old are you?" I responded, 34. He then he said "you're researching like you're 17". I was dumbfounded. It was insulting as if age had anything to do with this. He was alluding to my ability to purchase furniture, lack there of. I walked out and will never return. He tried to say that I "looked 17" which was even worse given I am a grown woman and want to be treated as such. Age has nothing to do with shopping for furniture!!! If I didn't sound "informed".. take the time to educate me, your customer, as that extra step may take you a long way! Maybe it will get you more business vs. losing it. Respect and customer service is key!!!

Even funnier is that there is zero "private" signage just a big triangle with the men's and women's symbols and giant text saying "restroom." So like, instead of getting mattresses out the door he needed to give me and my family an etiquette lesson like this is our hobby.
