Do not recommend, and here's why. Lovett Dental operates with an à la carte style of service that feels more like a budget airline than a dental office -- every little thing seems to come with an added charge. The biggest issue was being charged nearly double the amount on my card before anyone properly explained the cost. Only afterward did they come back asking for my signature and saying, "Sorry for the miscommunication." That wasn't miscommunication -- it was omission. The staff also tended to overtalk and use explanations or scenarios that didn't really make sense instead of being direct and transparent. I've never felt more like I was part of a business transaction than a patient coming in for a cleaning. The dentist herself was great, which makes this disappointing, but the business side of the office is unbearable. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit. read more

I did not enjoy my experience. I left without a basic cleaning (which is covered under insurance) because I declined the recommended cleaning service the hygienist recommended on this particular day. Had I at least received my basic cleaning I could make arrangements for the other treatments at a more appropriate time. I didn't feel that patient care was prioritized as they let me walk out with nothing over at least the routine service. Mind you... they ran a soft credit check for financing options to cover the additional recommendations, but that wasn't mentioned until after the check was already ran since I keep my credit accounts locked. Also, my blood pressure read 160/125 during triage, which at that stage an ambulance should have been called. Clearly it was inaccurate as I've never had any hypertension concerns in my medical history. Essence was great and a very personable hygienist. I expected that kind of warmth from Dr. Dike, but unfortunately that was not my experience. My daughter was able to get her routine cleaning with no issues despite receiving other treatment recommendations (which we also declined today) from the team she was serviced by. Ultimately, the lack of consistency is a red flag for me as a patient and I would not recommend this location or any other location to new patients. This place is a scam and I can't believe they are still open. I just moved to Pearland and went in for my routine 6month cleaning. When I got called back I was asked why I was here which was weird that she didn't know but still I explained that I was here for my 6 month cleaning and check up that is covered under my insurance. She began to do x-rays and told me that these will be covered. I was then taken to a room where dr. Dike came in and again asked why I was here. I explained again. She then began poking my gums aggressively and told me I had swollen gums and someone else would be In to talk with me. Another lady enters and tells me it will be 3k to get my teeth properly cleaned. I have never had problems with my teeth. I told her I needed to discuss this with my wife and she gets an attitude and says "sign right here stating that your declining treatment" so I did and left with no cleaning at all.I now just found out that they billed my insurance for $135 leaving me to pay $90 out of pocket for stuff that I never asked for or told that would be extra. Extremely disappointed with Lovett Dental, especially with the way I was treated by the office manager, Leticia. I had been a patient since 2020, but things went downhill fast after I questioned a few suspicious charges. Fraud at its finest with this location. They overcharged me $46, including a PPE fee using billing code D1999, which is not covered by insurance and wasn't something I was ever charged at other Lovett locations. On top of that, they charged me more for my co-pay than what my insurance clearly advised them to, and refused to refund the full overpayment -- even after I provided documentation. Leticia not only ignored my concerns, but instead of resolving the issue, she sent me an email dropping me as a patient completely, claiming I was "disruptive" -- a completely false and insulting accusation that I had never heard of until that moment. If that were true, why did they continue treating me for years? I had no choice but to file a dispute with Cigna and report this to the Texas Dental Board. Leticia was unprofessional, dishonest, and made the whole process stressful and insulting. It's clear the office doesn't prioritize patient care or transparency. I strongly urge others to stay away from this place. There are much better dental providers out there who respect their patients and follow proper billing practices. read more

This office accepted my insurance making my out of pocket expense $0. However, the dentist taking my appointment told me she would only clean my teeth if I agreed to pay for additional services. Are you kidding me! Since I was already reclined and prepped for cleaning, she probably thought I would cave. Not me. I politely asked for the bib to be removed from my neck and said, "No thanks, and Merry Christmas!" I should have refused to pay the $17 office visit charge they said was for coming in today! Are you kidding me, again! But I graciously paid $17 for that joker to waste my time. Then I walked out. Ultimately, she wanted to stack $130 on top of my insurance coverage. No ma'am. I don't have cavities nor gingivitis--I just needed my bi-annual cleaning covered by insurance. She was willing to forego my cleaning if I didn't cough up some coins. Does that sound like a practitioner who actually cares about patients? I went somewhere else and spent the $130 on my kids. Don't tell me I don't have a say in my own healthcare because I do: I get to choose my dental practice, and it's no longer that Lovett location. I went in for a cleaning. Had the necessary X-rays. After waiting 1 1/2 hours the female dentist came in and did a very rough exam of my mouth, pulling on my lower lip so hard that I cried out. She said I had 2 cavities which I declined to fill at that time. I told her I just wanted a cleaning and a copy of my X-rays. She said the copy would be $35. I left without doing anything! X-rays are the property of the patient! I called my insurance and she was horrified. She said she would handle it. I spent my entire dental insurance and got nothing but 2 wasted hours! read more

I will say the dental tech was THE BEST member of their team. However, the process was very disjointed. There were technical difficulties with the link they sent me for pre-registration. It kept saying, "invalid." I asked if I could fill out a paper form, and was abruptly told, "NO," by the receptionist/front desk, as though she was tired of people asking that question. She sent a link that worked after 1-2 tries, and we confirmed that I was there for a "cleaning and evaluation for crown replacement." Once I got back there, again, the tech was great she was professional and kind. After that, the dentist and I discussed replacement of my crown. After that, she just stood there. I asked if she would be cleaning my teeth. She said, "yeah, do you want your teeth cleaned?" I said "yes," again. Then she used the dental pick, with which she kept painfully intermittently poking my gums. The tech had complimented me eariler on having healthy gums as evidenced by the lack of pain and bleeding during her procedure. I'm used to not having any pain or bleeding. With this dentist, I could taste blood. After using the dental pick, she stopped, and asked again if I wanted my teeth cleaned! I asked what the issue was, they had my insurance information. Did they not take it? A second woman from the front desk came back, told me yes Lovett is in network with my Metlife insurance, and asked again if I wanted my teeth cleaned. I figured, this must be about money. She did start mentioning a cost, going into a shpeel. By this time, I had already had x-rays, Vital signs, been pricked with the dental pick, so why did they stop here, to go into a payment process. I was already in the chair with my bib on... I started to get up from the chair to go pay, that was how awkward this pause was. This 2nd front desk woman said I didn't need to eed to leave the chair, she would take my card and process it up front. I felt uneasy, but just wanted to get the cleaning done. THEN, she comes back to say my PIN IS NEEDED. I again try to get up from the dental chair, uneasy giving her my pin since she had my card, out of my sight, and she says again I can just tell her my pin. The cost ended being like $159. I've never paid that much while paying dental premiums. So I confirmed...this was with my insurance that you take? She said yes, and part of it is a PPE (personal protective equipment) fee of $55! I'm an ER physician of 25 years experience. I know what PPE is.. The plastic visor, and paper mask, and the paper gown the the dentist was wearing were $55? I just paid it to get it over with, and because I was made to feel like they didn't think I could afford it. The dentist did the cleaning, and stopped again. I had to ask, "are you going to polish my teeth?" Again this disjointed discussion. The nice tech did it, AND tried to book my next appointment. I will never return. read more

Scam! Be on alert. I paid a random $10 fee and ran across the street for a free cleaning with my same insurance. Apparently, the rough economic times has impacted the integrity of this office. They tried to up charge me on some "medicine" to perform a cleaning BUT God blocked it ( thank you Holy Spirit). They said my cleaning was going to be $60 but the "medicine" Natalie Dike DDS needed to do the routine cleaning would bring my cost to $220 ( complete lie). It's sad and disappointing that businesses like this get away with things like this everyday. Ran for 500$ 0 service was done took 30 days to get money back from credit card after dispute. Was told by one receptionist my insurance was accepted and that I was good to go for an annual exam. Front desk receptionist said that I'd have to pay out of pocket since my insurance didn't "assign" me to their office and that it was my responsibility to contact my insurance which makes no sense considering they're in my insurance network. I should've listened to reviews. I was a patient here about 3 years ago. At the time, the dentist recommended 3 crowns on teeth I had no problems with and have never had other dentists worry about. I followed the recommendation, which was a pain. They put on a temporary crown and my dentist didn't have availability for a while afterward. Was waking up with toothaches and calling daily to see if a sonnet visit was available. 3 years later, these crowns are still causing me problems. My new dentist informed me they weren't the best and I have developed a cavity by one of the crowns that isn't providing proper coverage. I highly recommend going somewhere else. I wanted to give 1/2 star but not an option. I went there as an emergency visit. Needed to get a replacement for my filling which came out. I had just had knee replacement surgery, therefore I was not allowed to have any dental work for 6 months after surgery. Upon advice of my surgeon, I asked if I could get the hole packed without probing, digging or any such action. I told them I knew my insurance would not pay.They verify insurance whenever you go to the office. They told me it would be $151, so I gave them my credit card. Dr. Dikes had me to bite on cotton balls before placing the packing in the hole using her finger. She was very careful in light of my situation. Having had a filling before, I was aware of what it entails, lots more work. Well, I was ok with it because I needed it. I was not told that it would cost more, seem like since I was paying for it, then it shouldn't be no more than I was charged. Wrong, they billed the insurance for more. I moved to Pearland so I had to find a new dentist office. Unfortunately I picked this location. Appointment at 11am. Still waiting as I type this at 1201. I am a new patient so perhaps I am not priority. Other patients that arrived after me have been seen (not sure if they had earlier appointments) but this is very inconvenient. The staff is nice at the front desk, the waiting is definitely the issue here. If you have anything else scheduled close to after your "appointment," I suggest you schedule it for another day OR be the first appointment upon opening. The dental hygienist was nice...the actual dentist wanted me to get some other things done... when I couldn't utilize my secondary dental insurance and wished to do just the cleaning, they said they couldn't do the cleaning. Just the xray. I left. Not a good experience. I know its still a business and they try to push other services but they are not going to force me to get other stuff done and want me to pay out of pocket and refuse my other insurance....insurance I Pay for!
