We contracted with InTown Homes to build a home on our lot in the Spring Branch, Memorial area…read more Dustin was very attentive to our needs and he had the home built ahead of schedule. 2 years in, we love the home. We get compliments from everyone in the neighborhood, especially about the brick. It really does look different than every other new build in the neighborhood. The only service calls we've had was a dripping back gutter and repair to a crack in the door frame. It was taken care of immediately. Other than that, home has been worry free with normal care and maintenance by my husband. We're very glad we chose InTown to build the home.

To say that the workmanship of this home is bad would be available an obvious understatement. From…read morea horrendous paint job through the entire home, chipped wood floors, nail holes and gaps in the floors, uneven wall plates, gaps around wall plates, uneven cabinets, poorly painted cabinets, multiple uncaulked seems, numerous scuff marks, a large hole in the wall in the garage, a broken refrigerator outlet box, holes in crown moulding, paint-covered door handles, and many other blatant defects, I have never seen workmanship this horrendous, especially for a new construction home. I am beyond dissatisfied with the final product. This is the third house I have purchased in the past four years, and I strongly regret closing on this property. I never thought a home builder would have the audacity to sell a home is this condition. I just moved earlier today from an Ashton Woods home that was purchased new in 2018, and the difference in the quality of workmanship couldn't be more obvious.

May 2018: Faucet tub never work properly since we moved in (5 months ago) their plumbers tried to…read morefixed it more than 7 times already, still not working as it should. Supervision is still a joke and the owner never replies an email. Time consuming with this company, cero results. January 2018: Houses are overpriced for the quality you receive. Luxury houses???......OMG.. If you ever buy a house from them, do not ever think about upgrades. They will charge you way more than any other contractor in the market and work will not be properly done. I suggest you save your money and let a professional company to do the upgrades for you. This company might be good with their basic standards but is not capable to provide good results out of that. Everything that they have done wrong was a discussion and the good experience of buying a new house became a frustrating really bad experience; by the end the only thing I wanted was to finish dealing with them. Wasted my time in several opportunities to obtain zero results. Read very carefully the house specification and details. Ask for clarification on walls/ ceiling texture; they do not specify this on their specs giving them room to do whatever is easy or cheap. Luxury houses do not require a buyer to look after every single detail, but if you are buying a house from them be ready to do it. I may have different standards but what they are selling as a luxury house is not. Warranty after closing is terrible, it will take weeks for them to fix even small things and when they finally come to fix something they will come without supervision and in most of the cases will damage something else. For example: all my granite countertops were not properly finished, pits all over the place and water will mark them. Still waiting for repairs. All moulding and base boards unions cracked after a month from closing, still waiting on them to get back to me. I have 8 light switches that do not have any function, they left them this way after the upgrading I paid for my ceiling fans because it is normal for them (I was told by the owner of the construction company). Now I playing with my dummies switches to see witch one works every time... great for a new house!!! I had Hot water in one of toilet deposit, thanks god they fix it but damaged the drywall while doing it. PS: If possible work with a realtor that do not normally work with this company. Do not trust realtors that work often with this company; they may play their game.

My husband spoke to Evan first and then me. We had a difficult start with the repairs we needed to do. As remote investors - we had to rely on the realtor we would choose. Evan was a miracle worker!!! Right off the bat - we knew he was topnotch! He was ahead of his game. He introduced us to his contractors and everything worked out. We also went through staging through his company and it worked out for the better as buyers came in. The housing market is tough right now but we reached the finish line today! Hands down I will NOT recommend anyone else. He is a life saver! Best of all, it didn't feel like it was Just a business transaction. He was compassionate and kind throughout the process. He was quick to answer - not a day passed by without a response from him. Evan Compean is your guy!! He leads his company with a good heart and kindness and professionalism. I wish him and his company well! 5+ stars!!!
