The great staff at Gentiva took great care of me and 8 months later I was discharged from Hospice. Gentiva provided me with an RN, a CNA, a doctor, a Social Worker, and a Chaplin. These people are a team. Unless you want to make a change, you have the same caregivers. Make sure you ask questions before you decide. Hospice providers all offer different levels of care.

I was fortunate to get a referral through the Alzheimer's Association to Kenny Slaman and Loving Care Living in Bermuda Dunes. From our first meeting with Kenny, we felt very comfortable. He had a deep understanding of the disease, and the normal progression. We made arrangements to move my Mother in, and made her, and us, feel welcome. She lived there two years, and at all times they maintained open communications with us. When Covid began, they took early precautions to minimize exposure risks, and began periodic testing of staff and patients to protect their health, long before it was recommended by public health agencies. They were also very helpful in getting my Mom enrolled in hospice to help with the costs of her increasing needs. I highly recommend Loving Care Living for assistance with Elder care needs, they will treat you like family!

I recently needed to transition my 91 year old mother from her own home to assisted living. I researched many locations and visited a couple of them and none of them hold a candle to the quality and care of the Segovia staff. Lori from Marketing made the process incredibly easy and treated my mom with such care and compassion. They helped me get really nice rental furniture quickly from a trusted vendor and made the move in process seamless. The building facilities are top notch and beautifully decorated. I have now had multiple meals with my mom at Segovia and the food quality is amazing and the service is excellent. The staff has made us feel very welcome in such a short time. They were caring, efficient, gentle, and explained to Bob each visit the procedure to be performed and patiently encouraged him to relax and help with his own positioning so as to give him a feeling of some control. They promptly responded to our phone calls and requests. We felt as though we had friends coming to our home to comfort and support Bob and family in this sad time of transition. I was under the impression we were to call them instead of the paramedics, but that is apparently not the case. Following those events nobody at Ardent ever reached out to speak to me or try to understand what happened, and I am Mike's caregiver. I am still on the fence as to whether this was a good idea for us.
