Tried to get help but my room was at the very end of the hallway and someone closed my door, without asking, and I yelled for help without success. When help finally came, after who knows how long, I was almost on the floor. I confronted the night nurse about my closed door and why wasn't rounds done during the night to check on patients, her answer was that they give out meds. at certain times, as well as meals and that's when they see patients. So, I said that we have to go by their schedule instead of the other way around- they're supposed to be looking after the residents there as that is their job. I could not believe how backwards her thinking was and leaving the residents in a potentially dangerous situation. Obviously, she, as well as the night staff, either need to be better trained about how to care for residents at their facility, or relieved of their duties. I ended up going to the ER and never returned to that awful place. Addendum: Received a reply from the Director, stating that I was at "The Springs at the Carlotta" not The Carlotta. Very confusing. I apologize but having 2 separate facilities at the same location, with virtually the same name, is very confusing. The above review was meant for The Springs at the Carlotta. Cannot find this facility on Yelp but will continue to try or write to them directly. Again, sorry for the confusion.

Family paid for top care level 4. She was left alone to fend for herself. Meals given, if not eaten no attempt to help her. Food horrible. Even staff said it was horrible. In a 10 day period they gave 1 shower. Family did 3 when they came to visit. We were starting to see red flags on lack of care. So I pulled bathroom emergency cord to see how long it took staff to respond. 45 minutes passed before someone showed up. Unacceptable!!! She ultimately fell in very early am hours not discovered for several hours. She was rushed to ER via ambulance. Luckily ok. We brought her back to our home after the incident. She had lost 10 pounds in 10 days. We were never able to bring her health back up from the experience she passed a being home with us less than a month later. Long story short this is not a place I would ever recommend. If care about your loved one do more research. I feel like we were duped by the Office staff. They have a few good care givers but they are so underpaid, understaffed and overworked they can do very little. 1 person for 14 patients on a couple of the occasions I was there. She went in relatively healthy beginning of February 2025 and passed in March. Absolutely Disgusting how our Elderly are treated!!!

From…read morethe moment you walk in, not only is it extremely clean but there are always beautiful flowers on the table, everyone that works there is exceptionally kind, caring, loving gracious, easy to talk to and an overall fantastic place. Christina goes above and beyond to make every resident feel comfortable, they have a really good time! She offers daily activities that are so much fun, from going to see a movie, having jewelry class, playing bingo everyday, providing the most incredible entertainment for every holiday, seasonal activities, she oversees just about everybody! She is so kind and so loving, if I could give them 10 Stars I would! All of the residents get along so well, as I mentioned, the place is extremely clean the dining room is always beautiful, if you're looking for a place to retire and enjoy the rest of your life this is the place to go! Today I got to experience a movie with Christina and some of the residents and it was so much fun, I can't wait to go again, they invite family and friends to all of the activities making the experience so much more intimate and pleasurable. From Jon, the executive director, to the folks who do the laundry and keep everything spic and span. I'm fussy about her care, and I visited every day before the virus struck us. The people are all smiles and really care about the folks in their charge. The executive director has an open door and is immediately available to address whatever concern anyone might have. The food is better than decent. Served as best they can, with the lockdown. Snacks, drinks, all you want. Great attention to the administration of medicines. Timely and done with a smile. The staff has a way of making the folks feel "important," not just another body. And they keep us informed and advised. Important! I think they do a great job. It's the best that I have seen. Quiet at night, none of the screaming, commotion and smell that plague some of these long term care places. We are all waiting for the virus to abate so that visiting can get back to normal. I think they are doing the right thing testing and keeping people out who aren't necessary. They have a huge TV that they use to do zoom. (Or whatever) virtual visits. A nice touch. And they love dogs here. That tells you a whole lot The community is a series of nice touches!

The Palms Gracious Living in LaQuinta is an awesome retirement space where residents can come and…read morego as they please. This is where I would like to be when I get of age. My best friend Dennis and I found this place when it first opened so he would not worry about his beautiful father Trevitt feeling alone after his wife died in his golden years. He is a charter member. Well I promised my buddy that I would look after his father if any happens to him and unfortunately it did. I have looked after his dad, for 4 great years here, and after his passing of 102, his "girlfriend, Yoshie" who has no family in the United States asked me if I would care for her. The Palms makes it incredibly easy and I agreed. The wonderful people that manages the facility, Robbie, Vikki, as well as Lenny are very caring and responsive to the residents needs. Robbie tells a joke during dinner, reads the menu selections for the day as well as activities. They have a beautiful movie theatre (along with a popcorn and ice cream machine) and Robbie even dances at the sock hop with his wife Vikki. They both have monitors connected to each residence in case of an emergency. Vikki plays the piano, and knows each residence's health requirements, and serves dinner as well. She doesn't just see each person, SHE HEARS THEM. For she truly has a big heart. Stephanie is the "Big Bad" coordinator for entertainment, activities and exercise etc. She runs a "tight ship", works hard to keep everyone busy, happy and strong. She's understanding, but an alert traffic cop and will give tickets if she catches any resident speeding in their scooter or electric walkers! Dawn is the community sales director and always has a beautiful smile for everyone she meets. A breath of fresh air every time that I see her. She makes sure that this place always has a waiting list for people that want to live here. They have also have a private bus that takes them shopping, to doctor appointments, day on the town etc. Oh! I must mention that the meals are included...wonderful breakfasts, dinners and suppers, with a community refrigerator stocked with drinks and sometimes those late night snacks and munchies thought the day. I must give props to the young adults that work so hard in the facility led by Mariah. She knows every resident's name and how they like their salads, juices etc. and remembers special stories about each one. This group not only serve the meals, but they clean each apartment, wash beddings and the hallways are always immaculate because of them. tell me? Where did they find these angels? Executive Chef, Martin, who whips up incredible meals. And if you know a resident, be invited to their special dinners like Easter, Christmas or the like! Simply amazing!! He also makes sure that there are optional dishes each day for those who have discriminating or, allergic issues. These are just a few of the incredible things you will find here at this great place, but all in all, The Palms is a well run, happy, and a friendly new home away from home. Come and check it out! A little belated review: After a horrible experience for 1…read morenight at an another Rehab facility, came here and it was a breath of fresh air. Accommodations could not have been better and had a large private room. The staff there was top notch (aside from 1 or 2 exceptions, as anywhere) and took excellent care of me. The Nurses, especially Geraldine and Leslie were outstanding, as well as the CNA's, especially Michael, Cheyanne and Jennifer. Other staff were excellent as well. The administrative staff were all very helpful, especially Renae and Glenora. A special THANKS to the PT & OT staff who helped me immensely to get stronger and ready for discharge home: Tim, Alex and Michael were especially helpful as well as the other staff. Sorry if I left anyone out (in any category) but couldn't remember everyone's name. I would highly recommend going here if a Skilled Nursing and Rehab facility was being considered.

She was transfered with her records. Staff at Rancho acted like they did not have them. I Left messages every day for 3 days to speak with the Dr . he never returned my calls, Called nurses desk half the time no answer. 1 out of 4 times some one returns my calls. less then half the time did some one have update on her present condition.. conflicting information. she had theropy , she did not have theropy because of COVD in building Never recomendj
