Oh how I wish this place was in Boston. So damn tasty, like really, really tasty. Although this place is small, they do well to accommodate you. It seems like there is the one lady who takes care of serving & someone else is int he back cooking. Such a pleasant place to get some veg food. I hadn't been there since they made the change to Loving Hut but I was still happy to go. The portions are not the usual huge American style where you end up w/ a doggie bag. I see some reviews stating it has a "cult-like" environment, and to that I say: it's a vegan restaurant run by vegans who care about veganism. If you are offended by veganism, don't come. Veggie Corner is one of my absolute favorite restaurants. It's so cheap, and so delicious! The menu has so many delights on it- Chinese, Vietnamese, and American-inspired dishes, all made with fresh vegan ingredients. They're a bit heavy on the mock meats, but the types that they use are soooo delicious! Way better than most of the mock meats sold at mainstream grocery stores (and prepared way better than most of us could do at home...) I normally dislike mock meats, with the kind served at Veggie Corner (and Buddha Hut) being an exception to that rule. My favorite dishes are the chicken cheeseburger, seafood flat noodle, beef teriyaki, fried tofu, and fried eggplant (I normally hate eggplant, but once again, Veggie Corner's eggplant is an exception to this rule) Just don't forget to save room for a sweet smoothie and delicious cupcake for dessert! read more

Positive Yelp reviews and the New-Agey name compelled me to give this place a try on a recent jaunt to Worcester. The fact that this is a chain restaurant overseen by a Vietnamese spiritual cult was somewhat off-putting (and may explain the conservative portion size) but it wasn't enough to dissuade. I began with twin summer rolls that had translucent, delicate rice-noodle wrappers and a refreshingly complex flavor that stood on its own without a dipping sauce, although I must confess I missed having that option. The online menu is not the same as the one provided at the table in the Worcester restaurant (oddly for a fast-food place, there is no takeout menu available) so I can't recall the name of my entree. It was a dark, salty stew of seaweed-based flavors with slivers of ginger, sizzling hot, intense and satisfying when balanced by scoops of bland white rice. Again, in contrast to the online menu, only one dessert was available: a wee slice of (vegan) cheesecake, chalky and uninteresting in a pleasant cookie-crumb crust. The television on the wall was broadcasting a program that resembled an awards ceremony; when I asked the waiter what it was, he told me that it was "a musical." I can only assume this is intended as a subtle recruitment tool for the cult; I found it inoffensive, although soft music or a soundtrack of nature sounds would have been preferable. Service at Loving Hut is surprisingly attentive for a fast-food restaurant and equal to the best high-end establishments. The attractive wait staff was warm, gracious and unobtrusive. read more

Honestly, I really enjoyed the food. I wish we had one of these in Boston. However, the server started to harass me over not being a vegan. (I'm vegetarian.) I've eaten in vegan and vegetarian restaurants for years. My partner is vegan. I'm very respectful of vegans, so I really don't need to be harassed about not being one. That said, outside of the lecture and the cult-vibe of the place, it's good food. This is my second Loving Hut to visit and I simply love it. The food is tasty, yet inexpensive. I love Asian food and this place does an excellent job. The meat is mock meat and some dishes can be greasy, so do beware. But overall, considering its vegan, they are superb. read more

I am a big fan of this place and need to go back soon. Everything I ate here was good and the staff was completely adorable and sweet to me and my youngest stepdaughter. I got the vegan burger and fries for my main meal and it was so delicious I wished there was more. We got these little bites as an appetizers that had a sweet/cute name I can't remember but those were also good. My kid got the vegan beef and broccoli equivalent and ate some before being full since the portion was quite large. I wish there were more of these nearby but this seems to be the only franchise in Massachusetts. I know they are more plentiful in places like Florida but we need to up our vegan game in MA and get some more of these. Sooo good. Nothing on the menu looked bad. read more

Just dropped in for my first time. I ordered lovely rangoon and the spicy bun-hue. The soup was excellent, will definitely go back to try more dishes. We drove a bit out of the way to try this place out on a road trip and I can say it was totally worth it. Pretty much everything we tried was amazing, but I especially liked the mock Duck (tastes even better than the real thing) and the Ocean Somethingoranother. The woman who ran it was incredibly friendly. I didn't care for the fried appetizers as much, but the mock chicken nuggets were great without really tasting like chicken nuggets. My husband and I drove 40 minutes to check this place out. A friend has eaten here a few times and recommended them! I can understand why.....there was a small table available when we arrived. I took this as a good sign that they are a popular place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We decided on the Hamilton basket to sample several of the different apps.
