I sat on a chair and waited for 35 min before the staff even decided to take my order and when they did they were uncaring and disrespectful as if they wished I was not there. Owner was especially haughty. When I received the food it was no better than the stir fry I cook at home. Food was expensive yet mediocre.This restaurant's name is somewhat ironic. I absolutely love this restaurant. I am not a vegan or even a vegetarian, but the food is so diverse and flavorful (though a bit salty). The prices are cheap and the owner, Myoung, is so funny and gracious for your business. The restaurant is tiny and there is little atmosphere, I primarily use it for take out. However, if you do choose to stay Myoung is very attentive and will serve you hot tea if you are cold! I highly recommend the Golden Luck or the Lemongrass meal, those are my favorites. read more

As a meat-eater who's not big on soy products, this place pretty much turned me on to amazingly good vegan cuisine. My girlfriend and I make it in here only about once a month, but the owner always knows us when we come and and is extremely gracious and accommodating. Last time we were in, my gf had the mongolian beef, which had a nice kick to it and had an incredible beef flavor. I had the usual, pho, which was as excellent as always with the usual accompaniments: sprouts, lime, basil, etc. All of the food is freshly prepped and always healthy and delicious. This is really a hidden gem in Worcester. I had the Vegan Pho. It was amazing. The broth was spicy and very delish, really not missing meat with this artistry. Tried a sampler as well with my sons. If you are a vegan, this is your dream restaurant!! Myself being one, I love that every single thing on the menu is an option for me. This is the only vegan restaurant that my carnivorous boyfriend actually begs to go to!! The reason my review lacks a star is only because sometimes you can literally order something, go there again weeks later and order the exact same meal and it will be prepared completely different. Very good. I have to say, I think I just can't do the faux Turkey or faux any meat... but the lemongass meal tasted very fresh and well-seasoned, and the crispy spring-type rolls I had were a great snack. I just stopped in here today, excited to see a vegan Vietnamese restaurant. The lady who works there, as others have noted, is very kind and attentive. The food was quite delicious. I had the pho; the broth was very flavorful (which you rarely find with the vegetarian options at ordinary Vietnamese restaurants), and the fake meats were surprisingly tasty. My friend had a sweet and sour soup that was also excellent. I'll definitely be back. My only complaint is that it's not in Boston. Alas. (Also, I'd like to note that the owners seem genuinely committed to veganism, which is a nice touch.) read more

This place is an absolute joke. Their portions are so ridiculously small it's insane. When you ask for extra vegan meat they still give you next to nothing. A month ago I made an order and they gave me the wrong item. I drove 1 hour to get the food. I asked for extra vegan beef and they gave me Lomein. I only noticed once I got home. I called and complained and they said that the next time I come in, I would get an order free. Today I came in and ordered the food. I picked it up and the blonde dude followed me from behind and slammed the door on me and some women was staring at me while I went to the car. That women watching me go to my car made me feel like a thief! This was their fault the entire time!!!! I had planned on never going back after what happened last time and I somehow did. I told myself I wouldn't write a Yelp review after they screwed up my order a month ago but I couldn't help it anymore. Whatever they gave me prob cost them $2 to make and they were that offended. THIS PLACE IS GREAT! everything is freshly cut, the atmosphere is warm and cozy. everything is so good, some of my favorite dishes are the Pho, Bun Hue, Golden luck, the Curry Noodle dish and so much more. And their cheese cake is amazing. the place is small with 5 tables but It reminds me of a New York style restaurant which is nice to have in Worcester. The Coconut Milkshake is not thick like a traditional American milkshake; it's more similar to a slurpee. It's cool, refreshing, sweet, and very tasty. Give it a try. My date and I checked out this place for lunch today after finishing a visit at the Worcester Art Museum. There was one other older couple in the place, who looked to be happy regulars. My date and I ordered the Curry Eggplant and Kung Pao "Chicken", with a side of the Chef's special rice. We both also got coconut milkshakes. Given, I am a vegetarian, so I was predisposed to love a place with a menu with no meat whatsoever. Plus, they had posters on the walls of famous current and historical vegetarians (Albert Einstein, Lao Tzu, Ellen DeGeneres) to make me even more excited about the veggie meals to arrive. I was also a little nervous, though, given that many of the meat imitation dishes had quotation marks around the meat parts of the dish, followed by an explanation of the soy/tofu substitutes used. I've been disappointed by many bad meat-substitute dishes before. But the dishes that arrived at our table were well-seasoned and visually appealing. My eggplant plate in particular was beautiful - bright purples, greens, and yellows contrasted with a serving of neat white rice. I didn't get to ask my date what he thought, but his plate was empty at the end, and so was mine. I had expected the coconut milkshake to be thicker, but in retrospect its lightness (basically it was coconut milk blended with ice) was the perfect companion to an also-light - but sumptuous - meal. On top of all of this, the owner/our server was extremely attentive and friendly. It is a small place, but it was perfect for a casual lunch. The only downside was that the restaurant was in an iff-y neighborhood. (My date went to WPI, and said he wouldn't have ventured over to the area while in school, or probably at night now.) However, the parking was plentiful. Overall, a great choice for vegetarians, and for anyone who's open to a creative and fresh vegan menu. The owner introduced herself as Miyo (spelling?). I liked this place but wanted to really love it. Its got everything I like: nice little mom and pop shop, very nice people providing attentive service, good cheap food, and choice of free tea instead of water. But the food just didn't work for me. I got the vegetable pho ($7). Now I love pho but the fake meats just ruined the meal. The fake beef had horrible texture with a unpleasant flavor and the mushrooms had a nasty taste with a rubbery texture. The vietnamese owner said she tried to recreate the pho with soy meats and maybe that's something that just can't be done. But I liked how they added the scallions and onions into the pho. Maybe they're better off creating a vegetable pho instead of a fake meat pho. I noticed that the lunch specials were crazy cheap, like $3. I'd like to go back and give it another go. Their hamburgers ($2.50) looked pretty damn tasty. Unless you want to eat in, I'd grab my food from Belmont Restaurant. But if you do go, please for god's sake, please overtip here since it hovers in the realm of too-cheap food for me. read more

First of all every single time I had a question I felt like "Tim" the waiter made me feel like an idiot. I don't know much about vegan food and when I had a question I felt like he looked at me like I have two heads not to mention he used sarcasm. I didn't say anything because I thought I was being ridiculous. I ordered summer rolls which in the picture they have a Sauce next to them and they look very appetizing. He gave me two little skinny not so good looking summer rolls but I didn't complain because they were two dollars. I got what I paid for. I did however ask for the sauce that was in the picture which I thought came with the rolls. It was the tiniest little cup of sauce I have ever been served and he charged me an extra two dollars for it not to mention he ignored me the first time I asked for it and had to ask for it again and it took him for ever to get it to me. The sauce didn't have more than a packet of ketchup would. And again he charged me two dollars and didn't even tell me it was extra. Last I checked sauce is free usually. The drinks were 3.50 each and I also didn't know because they didn't have prices...I complained about the service and asked for a manager, the waiter comes back and says "ACTUALLY IM THE MANAGER" at this point I'm furious. You make me feel like an idiot, you give us attitude, roll your eyes, over charge us, and you continue to LIE TO OUR FACES?! my whole experience was highly unpleasant and I hope this is seen so people don't have to experience what I did. It's a little shack of a restaurant with horrible service. Also don't let me forget to mention that he went and told his coworker and the coworker screamed of anger we could hear her from the kitchen. So embarrassing.. read more

I can't tell you how amazing this place is. The family that runs it is so sweet and remembers our faces every time we come in. I come here a few times a month, if i lived closer i would be in here every night. The food is beyond amazing, and so cheap for what it is. Most dinners you walk away super full and feeling kind of sluggish but their food gives me natural energy and I feel great and satisfied for a long time. I always start with a small wonton soup(best I've ever had) and I try something new everytime I go. I cannot pick a favorite entree because all the ones I've tried have been equally awesome. Not only does this place do take out but they also deliver!! Cheap, amazing vegan food that comes to you. Dream come true. This is my favorite 100% vegetarian restaurant in the world. Been going here for years. No other asian vegan/vegetarian place compares. Huge menu of tasty foods, the friendliest staff(usually only 1 or 2 folks in there), and its so damn cheap. Lunch specials are like 3 bucks?!? Unheard of. I have tried other Loving Huts, but this one tops them all! The dining area is small which makes the service very personal. We had appetizers, healthy rice, entrees and dessert all for a very reasonable price. So many choices and it's all vegan! But you don't have to be vegan to appreciate it, everything was absolutely delicious. I ended up ordering some to bring home as I live more than an hour and a half away. read more

The Loving Hut in Worchester, Mass. on Hamilton Ave. is a gem. It is easy to access from the highway (290) and a quick stop for an unforgettable meal. The atmosphere is small and simple but the food is excellent. The lady who works there is very kind and hospitable, and the service is unbelievable--it takes just a few minutes for several plates to come! Everything we ordered here was delicious; the appetizers, entrees, and smoothies. The portions are certainly plenty, though it is quite inexpensive!
