My dog has been gone from us for a year now but the pain is still there. I should have know when I first walked in because the place was disgusting. I get the fact that pets are being taken care of there but the smell was horrible. I made the mistake of leaving our family member with him(Reggie) because I had know other choices never again. My dog's behavior changed while in his custody he was responsible for my dog self being.. I should have been called the moment he noticed his behavior changed we should have been call(Hey your dog is not doing well you may want to get him to a Vet). Not him when I got there is when he noticed his behavior because he was not taking care of checking on him like a professional care taker does.. He came out and told me "something is wrong with Achilles". My dog could not move, could not walk I had to carry him to the truck and he passed a day later. If a person leaves their pet with you there are expectations we expect you to meet like feeding, well being they are your responsibility at the time you take that leash. So for me I wouldn't leave a dead rat in his care, he needs to be shut down!!! If you really love your pet leaving it with him put their life in jeopardy!!!

A first visit with my two cats to have their yearly exams was excellent. I was amazed at the amount of genuine interest in and time Dr Dolder gave my boys. Also, Dr Dolder owns her own practice and as an independent vet, she clearly has made providing the absolute best care to her patients her top priority. While no judgement toward the increasing number of corporate-owned clinics is intended, the experience at CRAH felt "old-school" in the best way possible! The facility is really clean and they have a fenced backyard in case they need to take your dog outside. After my first visit they sent me a welcome card which was really awesome! Since I forgot to set up Stella's 3rd appointment for her final shots they sent me a reminder post card. So this Friday I've got her set to see the vet. They are really gentle with Stella too. She is so hyper active being a puppy and a corgi. They are always making sure that they aren't hurting her when giving a shot or checking her temperature.

The dog's sleeping areas are great. The owner has high standards including making sure all dogs are vaccinated. The only problem I have had is getting my dogs in for grooming. I called Saturday night to schedule my cat for a groom and nail trimming and she was able to see me the following day at 10am :) I called her at 7pm so I wasn't expecting availability but I was pleasantly surprised. Depending on the cat and fur length you're looking at $ 40-80/cut and $10.00 for a nail trim. They also don't sedate any pets here which concerned me because my cat has trust issues and scratches you just for breathing. However, Deb assured me that her staff is well trained and could handle my cat. Low and behold, 2 hours and half my soul later my car is purrfectttttt. I am a returning customer and would recommend this place to everyone! They do recommend seeing your vet beforehand to obtain some calming agents for your pet if they are scratchers/biters. Since they're not licensed as a veterinary clinic, they do not distribute medication but if you have the medication from your vet you're more than happy proceed as needed and let them know :)

Money is better spent elsewhere. I haven't been treated this poorly by a business in a very long time. The groom took 90 minutes longer than expected, and I was not updated about a delay. The owner's response to my frustration about the timing was defensive, blaming of me and my pet, and took no responsibility for her company's delay in service. Who treats their customers this way? Finally, the groom was not done to completion as the fur around the face and neck was not groomed at all.

I asked if the deposit was refundable. The person I was speaking with said that appointment could be cancelled and deposit refunded 24 hours prior to appointment. Since the appointment was 2 pm Monday, I asked if they were open on Saturday. The person I was speaking with said they are. That meant I could cancel 48 hours in advance by calling as late as 2 pm Saturday. A couple hours later, I learned that Good Friends is also corporate owned. I called at 2:14 pm Friday 10/11/24 to cancel, just a couple hours after I made the appointment. Another person answered the phone, and she refused to refund the deposit. After calling my bank to dispute the charge, I called back to give them another chance. Lydia answered and initially refused to give her name. Eventually she gave me her name and revealed that Good Friends is part of Heartland Veterinary Partners. I called Heartland Veterinary Partners and was unable to secure a refund. So now I have to file BBB complaint, AG complaint, and potentially a small claims action. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS.
