I have two black sons that we sent to Berean in hopes they would be protected from teachers pushing Critical Race Theory. Another very upsetting thing was being charged for 4 weeks of school, nearly $2,000 for our 2 children when the school was shut down, which put our family in a very tough place financially - taking several weeks of unpaid leave to pay for schooling that wasn't being provided.

We just transferred to a new daycare closer to our new house, so I felt compelled to share my experience at Holy Nativity because we were very reluctant to leave! Brittany is the Director & is on point. She answers questions, she is professional, kind, and you'll often find her hands-on in each of the classrooms. The rapport she has with all of her teachers is evident in their tenure. Most of the teachers have been there 10+ years. In childcare, that is unheard of. I truly believe it's a testament to Brittany's leadership & the environment created at Holy Nativity. If you are looking for a great center for your kids, here are some reasons to put this daycare on your list of places to tour: -Reasonably Priced: We were paying $305/week for Infant care (5 days a week) at Holy Nativity. Closer to our new home, the prices are more like $350+/week. It's a great value. -Teachers are experienced typically carrying Bachelor's Degrees in Education/Elementary Ed/etc. -Teachers have been there a long time & LOVE their jobs. There's nothing worse than leaving you kids with someone who doesn't care. These women love your kids like their own & you feel how genuine that is. It was one of the most important things to me when choosing a center. -Extra-Curriculars: They go above and beyond to create fun experiences for the kids. In the summer, they have an agreement with the nearby YMCA for splash-pad access in the pre-school room, they rent bounce-houses for the kids, have special musical guests, chefs, etc. WOW! -Every holiday they celebrate & Christmas involves a Christmas show with Infant Room-Preschool represented. -It's a small center: 1 infant room, 1 toddler room, 1 pre-school room. You won't fee like a number here. -Professionalism: Brittany in the office is responsive, addresses concerns, and keeps the vibe at Holy Nativity so positive. I can't recommend this school enough. My daughter Birdie has started at a new daycare but she still says 'Amy' (her Toddler teacher's name) every day on the way there. I know she misses it. When I finally did get a response to an email it was weeks (sometimes months) after and the response was cold and a little off-putting. It doesn't seem like there is clear communication between management and their staff as well as a lack of communication between management and parents. They seem to be short staffed and the current teachers are over worked to where they can't maintain the proper kid to teacher ratio. This ultimately affects the kids and hinders them from being moved up to the proper classrooms; which is very detrimental to their development. Because when a child becomes complacent and isn't being challenged enough, they get bored, act out and can regress.

So, here's me paying it forward for other busy parents who want to search for daycare: Cost: We consistently paid around $1350-1525 depending on which room our child was in. He started in infant and moved up to toddler. Pros: - Wonderful teachers. Most have degrees, and all of them clearly love children. They seem happy as employees, which is great. - Director on site is the owner. You can tell she really cares about her staff, the kids, and the families. She's extremely accommodating - we changed our schedules multiple times and she was able to help us each time. - Easily the cleanest, most updated site that we visited. - Our son loved it there! - They are great at transitioning children out of the infant room to toddler room to make the kids feel really comfortable. - Great communication with parents: they send multiple photos a day through e-mail, and keep great records of what went on each day with your child. They let you know when he hits milestones and is progressing with new skills. - Great outdoor area - Fun events (bouncy house, fire trucks coming on site, etc) - The hours are great, and extend until 6pm. - Automatic tuition withdraw is a nice option Cons: - Cost. We toured a few places, and it was the most expensive in the area, and included the least amount of "extras." - you have to bring your own bibs, sippy cups, and breakfast. For the price of tuition, I was always frustrated that I had so much work to do to get him ready for daycare in the morning. - constant messy clothes. I wish they'd invest in better art bibs/smocks, and I wish they'd provide bibs for meal time. If i forgot to send one, I knew for sure he would come home in a new outfit. - Food costs extra (about $60/month for two snacks and lunch each day) and doesn't include breakfast. - Some of the food was unimpressive at times (bread and butter for snack?), not organic, lots of breaded chicken dishes, etc Overall: the price was worth it for us, especially when he was an infant. My child was asleep on her cot when Terez Estrada walked over to her, kicking the cot several times, then lifting it with her foot, causing my child to jump out of her sleep scared. The cot nearly rolled over. About 5 minutes later I watched my child walk up to Terez Estrada pointing to the bathroom signaling that she had to potty. Terez Estarda never once looked down at my child to give her the attention. As all of this was taking place I left work early, rushing through traffic to make my way to Everbrook Academy. On the drive there, I continued to watch the live cameras and and repeatedly witnessed Terez Estrada mistreat and neglect my child. While the children were being lined up to go outside, Terez Estrada forced my child to stay inside while all of the other children went outside. During snack time, Terez Estrada literally poured my child's snack on the bare table while giving the other kids a bowl to eat out of. Once I arrived at Everbrook Academy, I immediately spoke with the principal, Sydney Richardson, and told her everything that I had witnessed. The next day, I received a phone call from the Director of Everbrook Academy, Barb. She told me that she would view the tapes and then would give me a call back to set up a meeting to discuss the incident. It is now October and I haven't heard anything from Barb. This incident has definitely been swept up under the rug while Terez Estrada still remains an active employee at Everbrook Academy. This was one of my biggest fears about placing my child in daycare and to witness this all happen is heartbreaking.
