10-22-25: As of today, I am a new patient for Dr. Shivani Low. She and her husband Dr. Christian Low own Low Family Dental in Lodi. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Shivani. She is an excellent dentist and a gentle person. She took time to talk with me, to get to know me, to share information with me about herself, and to my amazement, she personally did my teeth cleaning. All-in-all, she spend nearly a whole hour taking attentive care of me and discussing my dental history/goals. Another wonderful experience: while sitting in the dental chair for my cleaning, I looked out of a window at a tall/beautiful tree. That was fantastic! I have never had a dentist clean my teeth personally, I have always had dental hygienists do my cleanings. I have rarely had a dentist spend more than a few minutes with me and then to mostly discuss x-rays or dental issues. Dr. Shivani told me that she and her husband both do dental cleaning, in part, to have a more involved relationship with their patients. I have never had a heart-touching experience at a dentist office before. I never knew such an experience was possible. Everyone there was unrushed and friendly. All my life I have suffered with "dental anxiety" and I always have stress when I am getting my teeth cleaned or when I am getting dental work done. I even have stress sitting in the waiting room. I had zero "dental anxiety" today - absolutely zero. My husband needed our car, I called him when it was time for him to pick me up after my appointment, and I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes before he arrived to get me. There was a lady in the waiting room and I soon realized that she has learning disabilities. Suddenly, she stood, came to me, smiled, and then gifted me the cap to her water bottle. I did not know what to do because I was not sure she could speak. Dr. Christian saw this occur - he calmly came to us, sweetly talked with the lady, and then gently escorted her in for her dental care. Wow! I was already impressed with his wife, then he did that ordinary act of extraordinary kindness. If you need a good dentist, I suggest you consider Dr. Shivani and Dr. Christian. The are both thumbs-up awesome. I wish I could give them a rating with more than five stars. (P.S. I almost forgot to mention this, on the wall in the room where I was getting my teeth cleaned, was a sign stating that aroma therapy, pillows, and warm blankets are available. Let me start off by saying I hate going to the dentist. Dr. Low is personable and has a very easy going personality. He engages with his patients to know you as a person and his staff do a great job of explaining each step of a procedure. He made my dental procedure bearable and I did not hesitate to schedule my routine cleaning in the future. My almost two year old son saw Dr. Shivani and she engaged with him with so much compassion and kindness. It's so hard to find a personable dentist. Someone that you trust their opinion and doesn't make you feel like a caddle moving through to be poked and prodded. This entire office has the same vibe. They enjoy their jobs and aren't there to judge or just squeeze out a dollar. I'm so grateful I gave them a chance. I have been twice now and am actually looking forward to continuing my care with them. From the front desk, to the dental assistance to Dr Low himself. Where do I start? Best dentist office ever! Dr. Christian is extremely personable with a great sense of humor in addition to being a great dentist! He is very professional and attentive to his patients. He always makes sure that I'm comfortable. Let me tell you what floored me... after my root canal, hours later my phone rang and it was Dr Christian! He said he was just calling to see how I was doing. Wow! I thought my payment didn't go through or something lol j/k Seriously I've seen several dentist in my 28 years (wink) and none of them ever called just to check on me! I was sold after that #teamLowFamilyDental! I'm not someone who is afraid of the dentist, however, it is not my favorite appointment to make with the exception of Low Family Dental! The girls Kylie and Erika are really nice (love love love them!). Dr Dad (Dr Gary) is a dental EXPERT! If you need to get your teeth together! Literally! He's the guy, I had a gap in my teeth caused by having a back tooth pulled years ago. Dr Gary is not only fixing my gap, he's giving me a better smile than I had before the gap #adultbraces! Visit summary: The office failed to correctly verify my insurance coverage. I paid the co-pay that they had asked for at the time of service. But more than One year and Nine months later they sent me another $500+ invoice that they said they missed to identify. Christian Low is a recent graduate and less experienced dentist who lacks attention to details, provides subpar dental work and customer service. Details: My wife and I visited Low Family Dental in June of 2020 as it was located right next to our residence. After insurance checks we paid the co-pay that they had asked for and scheduled the service. My checkup and services went smooth as I did not have any cavities or anything that needed any extra attention. However, my wife was not so lucky. It turned out that she had several cavities that needed to be addressed on multiple visits. I accompanied her to those visits as she needed an interpreter. She was operated on by Christian Low. He is a fairly recent graduate of dental school. His attitude was jumpy and provided rushed service as can be expected from a less experienced provider. During one of the procedures he dropped a small metal tool in my wife's open mouth all to her horror which he subsequently fished out. After we came out of his office, my wife's feedback as well as my observation was that during our time at the office, he was too busy impressing the two young female assistants rather than paying attention to his patient. Two of the filling that he installed came out about a year later and we went to a different dentist to get them fixed. I wish I could say that the story ended there. But it did not. One year and nine months later, in March of 2022, they sent me a bill for $568. When I went to the office they said they missed to identify some services that were not covered by insurance and the office manager found out the issue during an audit more than a year and half after the services were performed. Here is the bottom line, if you decide to go to Low Family Dental for services, do not count on them to correctly verify your insurance coverage. You most definitely will receive a surprise bill years down the line. The services rendered by Christian Low will be subpar and you will need to get them redone by a different dentist later on. read more

He's always on time! He's great at explaining and addressing any issues/answering any questions you have! He's also very nice and easy to talk to! Low Family Dental, the "BEST EVER" when it comes to having your teeth taken care of!! If your afraid of going to the Dentist as I had been, then you need to have your teeth taken care of here!! They will take the best possible care of you & you're missing out if you don't make this your Dentist office. Low Fmly Dental takes great of you, puts you at ease from the time you've called for an appointment. Amazing. You'll speak to Erika or Kylie the sweetest 2 gals ever. I enjoy talking with them, sometimes too long I do. These 2 gals make you feel comfortable, greet you with a smile, are friendly & make you know you are at the best office for your mouth, & again both are fun to talk to. They carry over from the front office running all sides of it, hard working both of them. The gals are also dental assistants for Dr. Gary & Dr. Christian as well. They're jobs keep them hopping & both do them quite well. Dr. Gary & Dr. Christian are wonderful Dentists as a Father & Son team. Dr Christian he's worked on my teeth & was great & explained to me what he was doing. My mouth was sore & called me later in the evening to be sure all was well with it. I love the follow up & concern of their office. That was kind & not always do you have that from Drs. I've been to Dr. Gary more for my teeth care. He's great a super Dentist, super person. He explains what he is doing, & why. Explains how long of a procedure it may be in length, time, how many visits etc. If its going to be a process, tells you why explaining the details. Your teeth, he wants them to be in your head for the duration & that they're done right. Dr Gary, too has called later to check up on me after he worked extensively on my teeth. He does make you feel comfortable & that your teeth should not be no problem down the road for you. He makes your teeth perfect in time & care. You are treated like family to them & they are ALL like family to me. Its like going home, you don't want to leave. read more

I have been going to Dr. Low and his staff for about a year and a half now. I first visited his office out of an emergency tooth ache. They scheduled me. Got me in and took care of my pain. The first experience I had was excellent in every way. Since that first experience, Dr. Low and his significantly friendly staff have been the only ones to touch my teeth. I live 100 miles away from their office and still chose them over a dentist closer to me. The entire internals of the building are immaculate and very organized and equipment is on point. The procedures as they go, I've had a wide range of different procedures done and every single time I leave there happy and smiling. As soon as I see Dr. Low and his staff they instantly make me feel better because they care. Not only do they show that they care, I sincerely believe that they do which is very hard to find these days in a dentist as many have hundreds of patients. They are so welcoming and nonjudgmental at all. They have always made me feel comfortable and safe. I highly recommend Dr Low to anyone with any sort of mouth pain or not, maybe just a routine checkup. I promise to anyone, you will not be disappointed. Taking over a dental practice can be tough, but Dr. Low has done a good job of transitioning patients into his care. He is very friendly as is the front desk and the dental assistants. Great dentist! Very reasonable. Had a cap that cracked and was worried that he was going to say it couldn't be fixed and wanted to put a new one in. $$$$$$. He filed it down, smoothed it out, and I was out the door. Office staff is nice, and makes you feel comfortable. Everyone has a smile on their face.
