He has all keys and is always ready to go we have a Land Rover that is so expensive and difficult to get done at the dealership it would have taken two weeks to get done. Let's start with how honest he is, I scheduled him because I'm a bonehead and didn't realize I was using the wrong key. Instead of taking advantage and still selling me an expensive key for my car he was honest and told me what I was doing wrong. Also his prices are amazing. A brand new programmed key and a new fob for my Cadillac CTS, no kidding $60. Punctual which is always my favorite quality in a service person. This place saved me literally hundreds when I misplaced the key to my 2016 Subaru Forrester (immobilizer chip fob) I've lost auto keys before, even to some high end vehicles, so I expected this disaster to cost around two or three hundred, give or take. I've always gone to the dealership with my vin and proof of ownership, hand over a painful amount of cash, and walked out with a key. When my key vanished last month I went to Lithia Subaru with my documentation. The man at the counter told me they would have to tow my car to the dealership, order a key, have the key cut elsewhere, and program the immobilizer chip. He told me the whole process would take about a week and cost roughly $1,400. I thought I was being pranked. He told me it was the only way without a working key to copy, and that it happens pretty often during ski season. I just laughed, thanked him and left. After a lot of research and a lot of calls I settled on Santiago's small business. He was prompt and polite in responding to my voicemail inquiry and was able to beat the second lowest estimate I recieved by $40! When he came to save me he was on time, super cheerful, personable, and kind. The process took quite a bit longer than he estimated over the phone, but he didn't charge me extra for any of the additional service time or labor. Alpine Locksmith was a very close second. The staff at Alpine were extremely helpful when I called, multiple times, confused and clueless asking for information, advice, and price quotes. I also saved around $60 by ordering the uncut and blank fob on Amazon. If you try this, make sure you order the g-chip type for the '16 Forester. In the end (with Santiago's help) my new cut and programmed key cost me only $225! read more

This is your locksmith! I would love to give Mr. Lopez six stars. I had been using my valet key for the last year and a half after both of my keys had become un-useable from carrying too many keys and probably being too rushed all of the time. Slowing down long enough to remember the "adult" things that I finally remembered got me to decide to get my keys fixed finally. The Honda dealership wanted to charge be about $200 for two keys and $125 for one. I called two other locksmiths and was told about the same price... if not more. Be careful with other places. I saw a highly rated locksmiths website who had one key replacement on "promo" for $180. I simply felt that these prices were inflated to the point of insult I am fairly handy. I have changed out parts on my computer, worked on a few phone, and done small jobs around the house. So I am not completely helpless. I had looked up everything needed to repair my keys myself. I just happened to make one last call to Mr. Lopez just to see how accurate the other reviews were. I sent a price quote request early yesterday. I did not get a quick response, but I believe Monday's are rough days for everyone. I waited until later in the afternoon and then decided to call. Mr. Lopez called me back within the hour. We set a time for the following morning(today) at 9:30am. He arrived on time. I sat down at my computer to write this review at 9:59. And that was after he took the time to answer my question about the possibility of converting to a flip key and he dug around in his van to show me a new key housing that he had that we far more reinforced that what Honda provides. Recap.... 1. On time, efficient, MOBILE service. 2. Less than half of what it would have cost me at a dealership(I genuinely wish I would have had a cash tip for the man) 3. Less than 30 minutes to replace two keys(new metal keys and housing) that were damaged beyond repair(metal key part completely disengaged from the housing). He left me with my other metal two keys. 4. He replaced the batteries in both without me asking. One was dead for sure and I am positive the other was well on its way. I genuinely wouldn't have minded dealing with the batteries at a later time so I didn't even think to ask. 5.If you have gotten this far down.... you should just stop and call him if you need him. Last thing.... I have no clue of whether Mr. Lopez has plans to expand. But if he does, and you have to wait an extra day or two to get an appointment.... Just wait. I went to see Santiago this morning to get another remote key made for my Wife's Lexus RX400h Hybrid because the previous Owner we bought the car from only gave us 1 key, and the Lexus Stealership wanted more than $ 300 for this remote key, and you have to leave the car there for a few hours. (Maybe the Lexus logo on the back of the key is made out of real 24 carat gold. Lol!) I arrived a bit late but Santiago was extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient, and while chatting with him for about 10 to 15 minutes, he had already cut and made the remote key, plugged the computer into our Lexus and programmed it and made the key for me. The best part was he also took the time to program the door locking/unlocking feature so that my Wife no longer have to press the remote twice to unlock all 4 doors. My Wife absolutely loved it! This... omg... this is possibly THE best locksmith ever. I'm extremely forgetful, so I'm always locking my keys in my car, or losing a key, or throwing keys down elevator shafts by accident (this really happened). This time, I lost my keys somewhere at work. I googled "Houston Locksmith" and found this random company who ended up charging me $200 for a basic generic silver car key. No remote key fob, no nothing! I was desperate and needed to get home, so I paid the man and reminded myself to never call that company again. I really, really needed the key fob to unlock my car via remote, so I used my googles again, and found Santiago. He was available via either call or text, and while I was at work, I was able to text him a million questions about his services and prices. He quoted me a price, answered all my questions, and then set up an appointment. He came to my job and in 15 minutes, I had a new folding key fob! They don't even make those for my car, but yet I now have one! The Hyundai dealership wanted to charge me $86 for JUST the fob, and $65 to Program it.
