Can't be bothered to communicate and and answer emails. Not good if claiming to listen to men for their health

I value the apology and assistance they provided to enhance our experience. I am very disappointed with Darien Immediate Care. I took my son there due to a shoulder injury and he was taken in for an X-Ray. PA Erin Berman read his x-ray and misdiagnosed him having a broken collarbone and dislocated shoulder and informed us to go to the ER ASAP. When the ER doctor read these same x-rays, I was informed that only my son's collarbone was broken, but his shoulder was not dislocated. However, the ER doctor nevertheless was required to take additional x-rays at this point to confirm the diagnosis that the shoulder was not, in fact, dislocated. Therefore, my son did not need to be rushed to the ER and could've received urgent care for his collarbone with a follow up with an orthopedic doctor. As a result, in addition to what this facility billed us, we incurred additional fees and costs for the ER visit and additional x-rays, and spent additional time agonizing over the injury. Therefore, I requested to speak with the office manager regarding my billing, who promised to call me but never did. When I spoke to the billing department, they refused to transfer me to the office manager or share contact information and refused to adjust my bill in any way. While I have no issue paying for medical services, I do have an issue incurring unnecessary additional fees and costs due to the misdiagnosis. If my son was diagnosed properly in this facility, we wouldn't have had to go the ER and he would walked away with a sling, which is the recommended treatment for a broken collarbone. This is also my second negative experience with this facility. During a prior visit, we saw PA Anum Haq who diagnosed my son with an ear infection; however, PA Anum Haq then failed to timely send the required prescription to the pharmacy, which delayed my son's healing and caused him more pain. I will never go to this facility again, and will share my experience where possible so that other families do not have to incur unnecessary additional expenses when money is already tightly budgeted for most.

Every time I see her, she makes me feel good about myself. She is thorough and incredibly caring, even though her practice is so busy. I feel like I am the only person in the world when I see her. Darien Immediate Care is fortunate to have her working there.

During…read morethis time, the following issues occurred: Lack of Basic Hygiene/Wound Care: Despite having a bloody injury, no staff member cleaned my finger for the duration of my two-hour stay. I eventually had to specifically ask a staff member to clean the blood off my finger and my hand. Neglect of Pain Management: I was never brought any form of pain medication during the entire visit after asking for it. When asked about this, I was told that maybe it would be brought to me when I was discharged. Failure to Provide Basic Comfort: I was forced to ask for an ice pack to manage the swelling and pain, which was not proactively offered by the nursing or medical staff. I then had to ask for another ice pack after the first one was no longer cold. Absolutely horrible, horrible, horrible experience. Do not go here for any emergency services!

The Board of Trustees at Good Samaritan need to address the elder abuse that is occurring at their hospital with the level of incompetence in the following individuals: Anas Lababidi -He added medication to the patients nebulizer which settles on the vocal cords, he knew the patient would not be able to speak afterwards. None of this was shared with the patient or family. The pain and suffering the patient went through afterwards was unbearable. The patient could not speak or communicate and cried in frustration and sadness. Lababidi knowingly silenced the dying patient and is a perpetrator of elder abuse. Roberto Viau Colindres -Horrifyingly inhuman -This "doctor" tells the patient they will die, directly to their face. -When asked a clarifying question he said "I'm not going to repeat myself" and walks out of the room. -his manner is sickening and patients and family are scared when he enters the room Basil Hernandez There is a saying in the medical community that Hospitalists are the bottom of the barrel and lowest on the hierarchy. Basil proves this point exactly. -He marked our loved one as incapacitated when the patient was talking and requesting things. His colleague showed me this notation on the computer screen. -He walks out of the room as you are asking questions trying to learn about your loved ones condition. -We had to beg him to use his stethoscope in his maximum 30 second visits to the patient where he did nothing. Maddelena (Maddie) Deneaufbourg -Aggressive and pushy, she is supposed to be there for a patients family to offer palliative care. Even her coworkers had to stop her from harassing my family. She preys on people when they are at their lowest. -She walks into the patients room unannounced and touches your loved one without permission -When you ask her to please leave you alone she does not.

I asked to speak to her directly about my insurance change. I explained to her that I wanted to come off of my cobra, as long as my treatment was covered under my new insurance. I told her who it is with and she said "yes they cover it". I was trying to tell her the importance of why I needed to make sure it was covered, but she was rushing me and just said, they will cover it. Then a couple weeks later, I got a call saying my appointment was cancelled because my new insurance declined it. I was shocked! I ask to talk to that manager and that lady ended up back tracking what she said and denied telling me that. After talking to my doctors office, they told me that it was approved. I called that lady back and she said it was not and that I needed to call their billing dept. "Because she can only go by what she was told". I said is it possible that you don't have the up to date information? Rudely said "no, the appeal was denied and I am taking you off the schedule". I told her, but the doctors office has the approval letters. She said, they have nothing to do with it. I was in shocked!! I told her, she should not be telling patient stuff is covered if she doesn't know. She didn't like that and doubled down, saying that she did not tell me that. A PROSSIONAL MANAGER, would have called the ordering doctors office and got this all straightened out. In the end, my insurance did approve it but their companies did not have updated info yet. So because I let her know, how I felt she handled thing, she retaliated against me and would not allow me to get my treatment there after she found out that I was approved.
