If I could have I would have given them a zero. I had my riding lawn mowing in their shop 3 times last year. Twice for the same issue. Net / Net they did not fix the mower right the first time and as a result had to keep taking it back. They charged $50 each time they picked it up. They kindly refunded the $50 the third time they had to pick it up (and after I melted down). read more

Lowell Small Engines is the warranty agent for PowerMate products. I bought a PowerMate gas edger with a 2-year warranty from Lowe's the end of July 2018 and used just over 2 months in 2018. I have 5 gas powered lawn units (riding mower, push mower, edger, trimmer and blower) and they all started fine in April 2019 except the edger. It wouldn't start. I contacted PowerMate and they advised me to take it to Lowell Small Engines as their warranty agent. I took it in and they said it would be about 6 weeks and they demanded a refundable $45 deposit for user-related repairs. After 6 full weeks, I called and they said it was back to be worked on... I called PowerMate and they told me Lowell Small Engines had ordered a starter part. During the eighth week, I called Lowell again and they said my edger was ready but they were waiting for PowerMate to approve the warranty work. I called PowerMate and they called Lowell immediately to approve the work. Lowell advised me that I had bad fuel and they had to clean the tank and carburetor and replace the spark plug. I had to pay almost $15 more to get me edger back. They don't communicate with you and they don't seem to care about retail or warranty customers. I am unimpressed with the PowerMate products and with Lowell Small Engines. If you can go elsewhere, I suggest you take that option. read more

don;t take your engine to this place if you want it fixed. I took mine and they said they put a kit in the carb. but black smoke just rolls out of it. They said hey would sharpen he blade but did not. I think they just washed it and sent it back for $200.00 read more
