    Absolutely perfect wedding
    Debbie M.

We just came back from a fabulous wedding here. We are all still talking about how perfect it was. The owners were fabulous and went out of there way to make the experience perfect. The setting is beautiful and the cabins were great. I have already recommended this venue to friends in Colorado. A great serene place and there were even Elk sightings.

I was married at Lower Lake Ranch about a month ago and I'm still in recovery mode from overwhelming gratitude! What a wonderful venue! Vera and Bonnie are a dream team who genuinely care. Im surprised by the negative comments in the reviews below, our day was amazing. I wouldn't go as far to say I was a Bridezilla, but I definitely verged. Bonnie and Vera were always so kind and accommodating I never had a reason to get upset. Even though we almost got rained out, I trusted in Vera and her teams vast experience to make our day perfect. Also mountain weddings are very expensive, but at Lower Lake I believe we had a good value. I would definitely recommend Lower Lake Ranch to anyone looking for an all inclusive secluded mountain wedding. Our friends and family loved every moment! Thank you again Vera and Bonnie!

They rented out the…read morewhole bed and breakfast for a three-day weekend, had the wedding in the field on Saturday, and invited the bridal party and the out of town guests to stay in the rooms. The bride and groom had their own cabin in the meadow -- so romantic! What a charming place! My husband and I stayed in the Colorado Sun room, which had so many amenities: a kitchenette, private hot tub, double-sided fireplace, two-person shower, and even a sauna! The whole B&B had just a ton of history and character. The furnishings were all super comfortable, with a relaxed, rustic vibe. A few things needed some updating and fixing, though. There was no hot water from the kitchen sink of our room because the little under-sink water heater was broken. One of the baseboards had come lose in the bathroom and there was tons of mold on the drywall. The water up there is well water, and it was incredibly soft; hard to wash the shampoo out of your hair, and it tasted NASTY. Definitely consider bringing your own bottled drinking water if you're going to stay a few days. The breakfast part of the bed and breakfast was pretty good. Two of the staff came up each morning to cook and serve hearty potatoes, sausage, eggs, fruit salad, coffee, orange juice, etc. It wasn't particularly good, but it was nice to have a hot, served meal that wasn't pizza delivery. We ate breakfast outside, where the bees were a nuisance because they wanted all of our food. We had just a fantastic weekend up here! Definitely the best wedding I've ever been to. I would highly recommend Meadow Creek for events of all kinds, but especially if you want to rent out the whole place.

We selected the separate cabin in the meadow for our two day stay. Initial appearance was exciting but once we occupied unit we found how lacking it was. It is billed as small and intimate but we found the place "just" dirty and tried to overlook it. Clean towels and sheets were provided. Screen door did not fit so bugs, gnats, flies and moths inside. Had a King bed but for us the mattress was too soft. Very low toilet and small shower. Hot tub in room puts off odor and cycles throughout the day - meaning it comes on 2-3 times at night in a very quiet setting. Local water tasted and smelled terrible...so bring bottled water (some provided). Two FOLDING chairs provided for deck which needs upkeep badly. When we arrived we had no clue where to go for check in. - which door? 9am breakfast is too late for us and was ok. Visiting with other guests always a plus. The Elk in the meadow was a real plus too.

As the mother of the bride, I cannot say enough about how smoothly the wedding planning process went. I am so glad we chose an all-inclusive venue. This absolutely was a sanity saver as far as vendor coordination. We did some DIY decor and Kira was incredible about taking detailed notes and getting everything set up exactly as we wanted it. She was there for us with a smile and can-do spirit. Christy, our bartender was all over it getting us many assorted specialty shots. The MVP of the night was Becca our Table Captain. She brought the family appetizers and took drink orders as we waited after the ceremony for family pictures. She was delightful with our guests. Many mentioned her by name to me following the event. I would think to request something then look over to find Becca was already taking care of it. She even pulled extra clean-up duty when there was a mishap with the guest shuttle we had arranged, Thank you Becca!!! I cannot recommend Wedgewood enough. Go all-inclusive and save your sanity.

If you are customizing your pizza, I highly recommend trying the vodka sauce. It is to die for! I have had both the regular crust and the gluten-free and both are amazing, this coming from a pizza crust junkie. Good gluten-free crust is sometimes hard to come by so I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious this one was. They always have great ice cream flavors and rotation with lots of toppings to choose from. And if you ever want some to go, there's even more choices stocked in their freezer. We try hard to support local businesses, especially here in Conifer where dining options are somewhat limited. We ordered: * a large pepperoni and jalapeño pizza, * a small tossed salad, * and four cheesy bread rolls. Total cost: about $50. The first surprise came when we were told it would take an hour to prepare the order. It was still fairly early in the day, so we assumed maybe they were crafting something extraordinary back there. You shouldn't rush a master chef, after all. When we finally got the food home, the disappointment set in immediately. The pizza looked... medically concerning. Pale. Almost white. It had the visual energy of a cafeteria tortilla with low self-esteem. Then we noticed the toppings. My wife actually poked at the pizza and said, "Maybe the toppings are under the cheese?" They were not. The pepperoni deserves special recognition because I have never seen pepperoni sliced this small or this thin in my life. These tiny little discs were maybe half an inch across. Ripple must have contacted the pepperoni manufacturer directly and said: "I need pepperoni so tiny and so sparse that customers can technically call it a pepperoni pizza, while minimizing any risk of flavor." Even with the microscopic dimensions, they still used them sparingly. The jalapeños were equally scarce. A few lonely little fragments scattered across the surface like survivors of a great topping shortage. The salad was okay, although it's admittedly difficult to sabotage a bowl of lettuce. The cheesy bread rolls did, in fairness, contain both bread and cheese, so technically they fulfilled the contract. Honestly, I believe most frozen supermarket pizzas would outperform this pizza in appearance and flavor, all at a fraction of the cost. We genuinely wanted to like Ripple. We like supporting local restaurants. But too many places in Conifer seem to operate on the assumption that limited competition means they don't really have to try very hard. So we did our duty. We tried it once. But we won't be back.

From…read morespending hours truly getting to know us, to having all the right connections, to gracefully navigating a weather pivot on our wedding day, Alex surpassed every expectation. My husband and I knew we wanted to create a unique, beautiful wedding experience that we, our family and friends would cherish and remember. We'd wanted elements of a traditional wedding weekend but one that felt fun and not like every other wedding we'd been to. We also knew that, as a busy engineer and lawyer, we had very little knowledge about what goes into a great wedding and very little time or desire to learn the intricacies of "the perfect wedding." Alex spent hours asking probing and fun questions. He really got to know our visions, desires and quirks. There were so many times when we said things like "we want a dinner the night before, but not a typical rehearsal reception with people standing around at hightop in a bland conference room." He absorbed all of it and turned it into a fabulous weekend. Alex's encyclopedic knowledge about James and Rebecca was invaluable when my work got super crazy a few months before the wedding. When I told Alex that I could do big decisions, but the little ones, like choosing ribbon color or envelopes for invitations, were hurting my brain, Alex stepped in and planned everything based on what he knew about us. Alex found us a breathtaking space in the Penrose Room at the Broadmoor, he coordinated flowers to match my colorful dress, helped pick perfect delicious meal stations that suited a variety of dietary needs, organized the music and stayed on top of the hotel until their 3,000 square foot Parker suite opened up. Alex interviewed and found the best make-up artist, designed hand calligraphed journals for our guests, and created guest bags that with fun and useful things. I could go on and on! Alex's management of every detail meant the weekend ran smoothly and everyone was happy! He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. So many of our friends and family have said that ours was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended. Ok, ok, maybe they have to say that, but in this case, I think it's probably true! We would recommend Alex to any couple, especially successful professionals who want to create a first class, memorable experience (but might now have the first clue of how do to it).

Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.
