Breathtaking.....Amazing....Picture Perfect! Those were the words used by the guests at our daughter's wedding. Crooked Willow is a stunning venue with mountains as the backdrop. Their eye for detail with everything from the courtyard to the soft grass of the meadow is amazing. And the flowers...every color, all in perfect bloom and manicured to perfection. We booked crooked willows off the online tour because we were coming from Hawaii to Colorado to get married and our expectations were far exceeded. Crooked willow farms was absolutely beautiful for our August wedding. Kim sexton worked with us for most of it and she was amazingly helpful and so so kind! It is an expensive venue but totally worth it. Our guests are still raving about the place 2 months later. We even want to model our home after it. Another wonderful thing is all the animals there. They were beautiful and great for pictures and snuggles. Jessica Gossett was our event coordinator that worked with our wedding planner, Brynn Swanson, and everything went perfectly on the big day. Some of the reviews mention bad coordinators but Kim told us they made management changes and got rid of some staff, and I didn't notice anything bad about our experience so I think they did a good job. Out in the countryside, down a solitary road, past old, old oak trees, there is a farm. A quaint farm. A charming farm. That farm is Crooked Willow. Such a quaint place for a wedding! Beds upon beds of colorful flowers, pens upon pens of happy animals (including camels!), and piles upon piles of charm. Our friends' wedding had to be moved indoors due to weather; it's unfortunate that it wasn't outside as planned, but the venue adapted well enough. The loft where the ceremony happened had some unfortunate architectural features (wooden columns and struts) that meant at least half the guests couldn't actually see the ceremony. Reception was in another room of the same building. Unfortunately tables were not accurately marked with reserved signs, so lots of shuffling had to happen. Staff made lots of other tiny mistakes, but no big deal. The wedding was lovely anyway! read more

This venue is stunning. I had the privilege of hosting our wedding here on 10.04.2019. Some of the reviews are upset about having to use a preferred vendor. I actually loved that! The whole entire wedding went perfectly. They've all worked together multiple times and that made it so easy. All of my guests were blown away by how beautiful this venue is. It happened to be a beautiful day as well. So glad I was able to get married here I'll never forget it! Gianna was amazing and super helpful she worked hand in hand with all my vendors. I'd never heard of Crooked Willow Farms until my fiancee "drug" me to a wedding there yesterday. It is off of Hwy 105 north of Palmer Lake, but south of Perry Park. It is an incredible venue for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful, and very well-kept. I can only imagine how amazing the place would be when the trees are full, the grass is green and the flowers in bloom. This is a very unique venue. They've turned stables into a swanky environment, complete with a photobooth room, and gorgeous ballroom. This venue beats The Pinery without a doubt for classiness and charm. I only have two negative things to say, which kept me from giving a 5 star rating... It's all about money here... of course, my wedding was beautiful because of the setting. But, the management here has one thing on their mind. During my ceremony and reception me and my guests were completely hovered over. I actually kept seeing Amy talking to her assistant the entire time and I actually went up to to her during MY wedding and said "Is there something wrong? I keep seeing you guys roll your eyes at me?" She replies "No, just wish there was more dancing" WOW. She is extremely rude and continued to nickel and dime my family through the entire night. If you are not out by the contracted time, be sure to be prepared for the list of fees being yelled at you all through clean up. Crooked Willow Farms is located about 30 mins south of Denver and is tucked away within the hills. The farm is magnificent and the upkeep & maintenance of it is incredibly beautiful. We attended a wedding, although the ranch is available for rental for any type of event. This is a working ranch with horses, camels and a variety of other animals on the premises. There is a large covered area that was used for parking the night we were there, and old converted stables that are now the bride & grooms quarters as well as the restrooms. The wood has all been refinished and provides a really unique setting. The main hall is large enough to hold a big wedding party and allow for dancing. There are plenty of areas outdoors for a wedding ceremony as well as back up indoor areas. If you have a group that likes to have fun, there is a large grassy area that works perfect for several bocci ball games. If any of the wedding party wants to stay on-site prior to the wedding there are guest quarters available. The venue offers caterer options and whoever catered this event provided excellent food. If you are looking for a top notch place to have a beautiful summer wedding, this place won't disappoint. read more

This place is unprofessional. I was looking into having my wedding here. So I set up a tour. After looking into it more I decided to cancel the tour in advance. I was sent an e-mail back that was trying to make me feel guilty. I responded back and said we have decided not to use their venue. I unfortunately had a miss use of words and the venue manager (who I had been working with) made sure to point out my mistake with bold letters. I was in a wedding in the beginning of October, and I must say, it was one of the most beautiful venues I have seen! They have a lot of great activities, and if you are interested in having a fun wedding, that would be the place to do it. And contrary to this yelp info, the site is open. Please check out the website @ www.crookedwillowfarms.com The one thing I am very disappointed in is how one of the coordinators treated my dear friend after the wedding. She was very unprofessional and rude. My friend was trying to give her information about items that needed to be returned to her florist, and the coordinator was suppose to handle it. I hope that a representative from Crooked Willow Farms is checking this, and will deal with this situation appropriately. I hope to see this venue do well. They created an unforgettable experience that we will all remember forever. I am normally not one to review restaurants or venues, but we had such a terrible experience with Crooked Willow that I wanted to share my experience in the hopes of helping another bride not make the same mistake! Do NOT have a wedding at Crooked Willow Farms!!!!!!!!!! The staff there, especially "Allison", the venue coordinator, is the RUDEST, most heinous woman I have ever met in my entire life! She has zero social skills, including the ability to carry on a normal conversation with another human being...not to mention a paying customer! We had a beautiful wedding at CWF but we received a list of bills which had nothing to do with our wedding. When we went to dispute the charge, Allison refused to recognize her mistaken invoice amounts (e.g. she charged us for two shutters we "broke" instead of one -- And, the "one we broke" wasn't even functioning at the beginning of the event). Allison acts like a child. She frequently hung up the phone on us when we called to talk about it the mistaken charges. Save yourself the time and energy and pick a different venue. Allison really tarnished what was supposed to be a beautiful day. For a venue that costs $10k, you should at least feel like a customer and not a rag doll. If you do decide to choose CWF for an event, be sure to work with Brendan (the owner) and exclude Allison from all of your conversations. Lastly, be sure to keep proper documentation of all that you've paid to CWF, and we frequently received mistaken invoices throughout the year from them. Good luck! read more

Crooked Willow Farms was beautiful, It had the perfect balance of elegance and rustic and is perfect for a CO wedding. That being said, after having my wedding there, I'm not sure if the beauty of the venue was worth the horrible customer service, unprofessionalism, and flat out disrespect my husband and I received through the wedding planning process. It started when we toured the venue and I told Patty Moser, who works for venue services, that our budget was $25,000. She condescendingly (literally, with the roll of her eyes) made a point to tell us that the weddings they work with cost at least $30,000. Money comments were made to us through the entire appointment from there on out. At that first meeting, I also asked Patty if they allowed sparklers at their venue (that was an important detail to me) and she told me that so long as the fire danger wasn't high on my wedding day, they would definitely make sure that could be worked out. Fast forward to my wedding week, as I attempted to work out the details regarding the sparklers, I was told that there was no way we could have sparklers. There were multiple excuses, each more absurd than the last as we called her out on them. As if the poor excuses weren't enough of an insult, the morning of our wedding we received a message saying that they would consider sparklers, if we got a fire truck on site and approval 30 days before the event. It really felt as though Patty would say and do anything to lock you into a contract and has no regard for follow through. She never once made me feel genuinely valued as a client. On the actual wedding day, Amy was our coordinator through CWF. I have endless stories from members of the bridal party and guests about how rudely Amy treated them. She gave my husband a hard time for wanting his scotch neat instead of on the rocks, she grabbed and pulled cigars out of my bridal party members hands when they were outside in designated smoking areas, including the groom. She honestly hovered and treated us as if she was our babysitter. It was incredibly devaluing and took away from the free spirit associated with the celebration of our marriage. It disappoints me tremendously to be treated like that, especially when we are dishing out SO much money on what appears to be a classy venue. Amy made a point to literally grab, yell, and push my bridal party around all night. At the end of the night we were all out of there by 11:50, as the contract states we are supposed to be out by 12. Regardless that we were cleaning up and collecting our things from about 11 onwards, Amy was yelling at anyone still on the premises, threatening a $500 fee. Again, I felt as though CWF really had no value for me as a bride and just wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible. All in all, I found it quite astonishing the way Crooked Willow treats their clients. You would think when clients are spending $10,000+ on simply the venue they would strive to have stellar customer service. If you are willing to stand up for yourself and push through the unprofessionalism, it is a gorgeous venue. Just be forewarned, they have an endless list of rules, no regard for follow through or honesty and don't care about making their client's day uniquely special. I would also recommend you get any verbal agreements written into the contract before you sign! Money is very clearly their first and main priority, and getting your wedding over and down with is clearly their second. read more

We booked Crooked Willow for our local reception following our destination wedding. The venue is beautiful and huge. I was really just planning a cocktail party, but after seeing all the great spaces I decided I wanted to do something more involved to truly get the most out of the amazing setting so we ended up doing extra family pictures in the green space with the mountain backdrop, cocktails in the court yard, appetizer and dessert/candy bar in the barrel room, seating and dancing in the ballroom and then an acoustic guitarist later in the loft set up with a lounge feel. Our guests commented all night about the beautiful venue and even how pretty the drive down from Denver was. We worked with Patty and Michael and they were both simply amazing - friendly, professional, and responsive. CWF requires an event planner (I used Christina with Detailed Elegance) which I thought was a waste at first, but after our event I totally understood, the place is so big that you really do need someone coordinating all the moving parts of your day. The vendors they recommended were all exceptional. The absolute only downside of this venue is the cost, but honestly for how amazing our event (and pictures) turned out I am so so glad we decided to go a bit beyond our budget to book CWF! read more
