I love Lowe's foods but this location has become my least favorite due to the staff. My husband was looking for a restroom and I heard a staff member comment "I think this gentleman needs assistance". When I replied "he's just looking for the bathroom" to which he said, I WASNT TALKING TO YOU. 0/10 for customer service. My mother was appalled as was I. This store in past month or so has just gone downhill. I go to beer den which I love got a cup of my beverage to shop.. start on frozen and forgot what I came for because in middle in a lot of product displays like way too many plus on end there was water display that had to be a couple of pallets of water? The store aisles are cluttered up with barn buster barrel things or shopping carts with discounted products.. meanwhile Clearance aisle by bathrooms packed! I don't know why they don't donate stuff because the store is over cluttered! As a customer it's aggravating and unattractive to see . The nicest areas in stores beer den and floral ! Oh and I saw lots of empty shelves so why they don't use those for clearance rather than mucking up aisles! I used to love coming to this store now it just disgusted how cluttered it is like the store manager doesn't care what it looks like or where stuff goes. read more

I visit this store often and never was treated disrespectfully as of this morning. I asked for two loaves of bread to be sliced. I was told I had to wait while she packaged bread to put on the shelves. This is poor customer service. This bread could of waited while she helped me. The meats where very brown today and looked like they sat there for days. This store is going down hill fast. Very poor customer service in your store. I tried to talk to a Manager yet no one was around. Seems to be the same story when you need help in this store. read more

Food is awesome. I buy my fresh salmon at Lowe's.. and my veggie. They have the great salad bar .. They have great soup . Service is good. ambience. is casual and they make sure you have what you need. been going there since they opened . Had a couple of issues before but they have definitely improved. This is a grocery store that is a couple of grades above. It reminds me a bit of Wegman's. The selection over all is plentiful and they do a good job at not only fulfilling your list but also showing you what other tasty things you need to add to your basket. The seafood counter has really personable service. I was making a small bloody mary bar for 2 for New Year's day and I was pleased with the service I received. The wine and beer selection is great and will meet any price point. The check out lines are never too long and the staff is always cheerful. Be sure to get a Lowe's Foods card to save on their deals. read more

The bakery here is superb! We got a smash cake from here for 19 dollars and some change and it fed our family of 4 just fine. I was completely satisfied with the cake. We also purchased a balloon from the little floral shop which is very convenient. They have a rewards card that can also link to Ibotta which is awesome! read more

2 stars for the presentation of the store. I grabbed a few different pastries all of which did not taste as good as they looked. I had the blueberry, cream cheese and banana nut muffins, elephant ears and apple fritter. All of them where lacking in flavor. I would not buy again. Now for my biggest disappointment. I grabbed some steaks from the prepackaged meat section. I got some sirloin that had a sticker with usda prime on it. It's wasn't what I'm used to seeing at the Harris Teeter near our previous home, but figured it's prime so as long as I cook the to my liking it should be fine. Boy was I wrong! The steak was not chewable even though it was cooked medium well. Had to spit it out. After trying multiple different sections of the steak I finally gave up and threw both steaks in the trash. I ended up drinking a protein shake and eating a bowl of cereal. I don't find it reasonable to spend more money to get a "better steak" from the butcher's section after this experience. What I had should never be on a grocery stores shelf for human consumption. This store looks great and as another reviewer mentioned, reminds me of wegmans in presentation, but it simply did not deliver. read more

I love this place. Yes it is a more "high end" store, similar to Wegmans or Harris Teeter, so you will pay more high end prices, but I never leave Lowe's Foods stressed. The staff is amazing! They are so kind to their customers, even the littlest shopper! I enjoy having the seafood department, the fresh cuts of meat, the chicken kitchen and even the sausage works. The community table is really neat too! They always have great ideas and pairings for you to try. We have even ordered our Thanksgiving meal from them :) The bread pudding is amazing! Need an idea for lunch? Try their pizzas or gourmet sandwiches. Want something hot? Go with chicken kitchen. Their hot and ready meals are a favorite at my house. They have a great beer and wine selection. With daily tastings available. I became hooked on Lowe's because of the labeling and easy shopping experience when my daughter had a milk intolerance and I had to find alternatives such as soy, almond and coconut yogurts, cheese, ice cream and more. The way they label their specialty items really helps for those with allergies or dietary restrictions. read more

The deli and chicken counters are spectacular! There is so many choices of just everything! The baked potatoes from the deli counter are outstanding! The butcher counter is great too! It's not just a grocery store, it's an experience for the whole family. The prices on average seem a little higher, however you also find a lot of products you won't find locally. And better yet from North Carolina suppliers. The beer den is fantastic. Stocked with too many IPAs in my opinion, but some exciting choices on tap. Don't forget to bring back your growler or you'll have a huge collection at home like we do. In which case start buying flowers because they make great vases! Also don't even try taste testing without your ID! Sausage works is a blast for the kids, and right next to a lobster tank and bakery that gives your kids cookies. Like I said, fun for the whole family. The deli staff has been trained by actual Boars head staff. You won't find that at the commissary. And you won't find Boars Head at The Pig or Food Lion. Word to the wise, don't be afraid to ask expiration dates. It's your money, why get something going out tomorrow? The Chicken Kitchen is where the kids get all worked up. And why not. Ask the employees to dance, and a huge Chicken chandler starts whirling and they come a running. Sometimes the "suits" join in. Produce is hit or miss. I've had better luck at Walmart on occasion. Join the Lowe's club program unless you hate saving money on gas and food. If you go late at night, self check out will be closed. If you don't park in a row outside with a parking cart return just know there is no short cut to return it. You either go all the way around, or be THAT GUY who leaves it out there to hit another car.... it's on you now, you know what you've done.... Overall. You're paying for a quality experience. You won't leave feeling like you need to hose off your shoes. It's a good clean place, with friendly people. Enjoy it, or not :-) read more

One of the few locations in Jacksonville where the produce stays fresh for a decent amount of time. It is more on the pricey side, but sale prices are competitive with other stores in the area. They have great customer service in all areas. The store has a Beer Den. In the beer Den you are allowed to sample, and drink while you shop. I had never heard of this before. It might be a but much to ask... but could California please catch up with this. I have never used the Beer Shopping/drinking amenity. read more

I visited the store for the first time today. Immediate impression is ... Cool. Lots of specialty items that are hard to find in the area. This is all this store has to offer. The grocery prices are disappointing. I crossed the street and bought a few things that I knew cost to much. 1 bottle of vitamins, 1 large bag dog food, 1 carton of cigs. Great selection, great prices, and I don't have to drive to Cape Carteret. I have to say that Jacksonville is really starting to move up in the world with food options. In addition to the extensive food selection and specialty items, they have an impressive meat and seafood section. Love shopping here! The service is always phenomenal and the managers will bring something in just because you requested it. Has that small town feel. The deli is great! This store has some of the nicest staff ever. Lots of employees that I've seen there for quite awhile so they get to know you by name. Employees such as Kyle who has been there at least the few years I've lived here. He and others will honestly go out of their way to do just the smallest things. I use the "food to go" system most of the time. So nice to pull up and have it loaded for me. I would go no place else for groceries but they don't carry 1 item that I buy weekly so still must go elsewhere for that. It's the Aunt Berties Sweet Tea Concentrate. It's a NC product so it would fit with their NC products first kind of feel. But I lust love the store and the people. Hope everyone finds them as amazing as I do. Thank you all. Troy B. read more

Loved this place. It was a newly developed location with newer strip mall look. I love feeling like I'm in an actual updated location which is sooooo hard to come by in Jacksonville. Everything looks post 1989 lol. Anyways, yes the prices are more but you can clearly tell everything here is under strict regulated temperatures, fresh fresh produce, and wide selection like a world market, nugget, or whole foods. The price for some products are quite high and can be found in other markets in the area, but this place is worth the trip for all your organic, hard to find needs. The customer service here is attentive, floors are clean, cieling are high, and the bakery, deli, and the sushi area has delicious foods. Come here for your quick meals, and for those hard to find items. Their processed foods and bagged items that can be found elsewhere are higher priced but doesn't shake the 5 star review. read more

Thank you, whoever decided to open a real grocery store in Jacksonville, NC. Even with the crowd today (opening weekend), shelves were stocked, the store was tidy and there were more than enough employees to keep things moving. Produce looked fresh, and the variety of goods is more than what you'll find at Food Lion across the street. There's a beer section that sells growlers...haven't had a chance to sample their goods. I hope they keep up the hard work once the crowds die down to normal levels. read more
