Very disappointed with service. Only 1 checkout aisle "open" but I had to get an employees attention and ask her if I could check out. She had to call to the 1 cashier half way across the store. They seemed surprised by the fact that someone was actually wanting to check out. This was at 8pm and I had a full cart of groceries (including produce) so self-checkout wasn't an option. I just moved to NC and had heard Lowe's stores were very nice. This is a nice store but if this is the normal service, I'll be shopping somewhere else. read more

I don't shop often at Lowes, as I find a lot of the items are more expensive than Harris Teeter. Sometimes the veggies aren't fresh. I'll go there if I need something in a pinch and don't want to drive out of Brunswick Forest, so it's conveniently located to where I live. I do love the Beer Den in the store!! There are several beers on tap, which changes every so often. They have half price beers and wine too. Friends and I gather on Thursdays (no every week) and hang out. It's fun to watch customers shopping while sipping on a drink. They will also have wine tasting where they bring in a vendor to allow customers to taste several types of wine. Shopping at Lowes Foods is a treat, regardless of location. The Lowes at Brunswick Forest is no exception. It's impeccably clean and well-stocked, with excellent customer service. I especially love the deli section, which is why my husband and I will make at least bi-weekly trips here, about a 35 minute drive from Holden Beach. The good people staffing the deli are friendly and aim to get you that perfect slice, thick or thin, depending on your personal preference. Compared to Food Lion or Publix, prices seem to be a little on the high side, so if you're a bargain shopper be sure to check the weekly savings flyer for the best deals and get a Lowes rewards card. We love when Utz potato chips are BOGO - our fave. If you've yet to try them, I heartily recommend. I prefer the original, husband likes the salt and vinegar. For dips, the ridged ones stand up better. Another thing I like about Lowes is that you can buy actual herb plants for only $2.99 each (or 4 for $9.99) that you can use immediately, and repot for longer use. I'm currently growing parsley, cilantro, dill, rosemary and thyme on our front porch. read more

Not a very big store when compared to Teeter and Wally-World. Prices are a little on the high side but they always seem to have what I need. Since I live just around the corner, I go there for the convenience, and their staff/management are always courteous and professional. read more

Came into the grocery store from a car show . It's a great store , also I discovered a Beer Den. What better way to do grocery shopping than to stop for a cold beer or a glass of wine . This is by far the nicest grocery in the Leland area. The produce is always top notch, the store is kept very clean, and the staff is excellent. There is always plenty of variety in the products - there is always a nice selection of everything from chips to yogurt to cleaning supplies. A trip to Lowes is always a pleasant, enjoyable experience. It's rare that I go anywhere else for my groceries. Keep up the great work! read more

This gets my vote as the best Lowes in the area. Some grass fed beef options, good prices, complementary coffee, and a beer garden...get your cart first, head off to the left, buy a $5 pint ($2.50 on Thur) and start shopping...how awesome. Pinehurst store deli department has a exceptional worker, "Ci Ci", Cecilia. Very customer friendly and professional in the way she prepares her case. The quality of her food preparation is highly appreciated by deli customers. Customer's ask for her by name. Lowes Food Store is very lucky to have her working for them. We discovered this gem even before we moved into the area when we came out of a local restaurant and 'found' it. The staff is great, super friendly and very helpful. Fresh locally grown veggies in season, good meats and a glorious deli! Did I mention they have a beer bar with a collection of taps for you to sample (you can even get a glass to sip on while you shop...kind of helps the whole process go extra smoothly). If you have your own growler, they fill that; if not, the prices on the different sizes are really nice. Their selection of wine is incredible and the folks there are very knowledgeable (my wife made me put that in as she is not a beer drinker). All-in-all, my go-to place for groceries of all kinds. read more

Recently remodeled the entire store, very nice. Food isn't cheap, but they do have good quality produce and an excellent bakery. One complaint, they removed the olive bar, and only have them pre packed now. Because of this, I don't frequent the store as often. Lowes, you might want to rethink that one. Harris Teeter is close by, with a full olive bar, and better customer service. read more

This is a relatively new store in the Brunswick Forest shopping center. As you would expect with a new store, it's very nice and well-stocked...they have a great produce section, deli and bakery, and everything seems very fresh. What you might not expect is the customer service...from the manager to the cashiers, everyone I've had contact with there has been extremely helpful and friendly. The week before Christmas, they even had someone in the store singing Christmas carols. Customer service is important to me at least, and with so many supermarkets in the area, it makes this Lowes stand out. read more

Disregard sale prices on wines. They use the old sleazy marketing technique of listing the prices above the normal price range and showing a discount which is actually the avg selling price. I''ve checked it on a dozen different wines on sale and their discounted prices are sometimes higher than those at Whole Foods. Oh! They sell Reggiano parmesan (the one imported from Italy) fot $5 more per pound than Whole Foods read more

I usually don't shop Lowes due to perceived inflated prices. I had heard the Leland, NC Lowes had a beer garden, so I went to check it out today. Was greeted by a gentleman named Greg, who offered to clean my personal beer growler, then proceeded to offer me tastes of their beer on tap. Greg was patient, and knowledgeable. He quickly filled my growler, and I was on my way. I foresee myself frequenting Lowes for grocery acquisitions in the future. HT better up its game, because I want to drink draft beer while I shop. read more

Rarely shop here but close to my home. Today's ad had salmon on sale so decided to do my weekly shopping at Lowes and get the salmon. Surprise-- all out of salmon. I was told I could get a rain check at customer service so not a big deal. I would just have to come back for the salmon in a few days. Only two cashier s open and both had at least three people in line. The line I choose did not move. After waiting quite some time due to some confusion on a price, I moved to the other line. I was now third in line. The line stopped due to issue with credit card machine accepting someone's card. Another register finally opened and instead of taking the person next in line, me, the cashier called over the people from the end of my line. Three people were checked out by the time I finally got to the register. Once checked out, I had to stand in line again for the rain check! Finally gave up and left. It took over 30 mins to check out. No salmon this week. Won't be going back to Lowes. read more
