The employees who are there are doing their best, but they clearly need more help. I'll keep coming back for the produce, but I'll be skipping the deli counter for now on until staffing improves and this gets addressed some day.

Today, I stopped in for a few things we had run out of, and saw a cooler with frozen turkeys for .29 cents a pound. Wow! I also checked my Food Lion app and saw it listed for the same price. When I got to check out, I was lectured that I was required to spend $35 to get the bargain price. It was not mentioned at the cooler, but I was further instructed that it "Was listed in the newspaper" (Who gets a newspaper, and by the way your app says .29/pound. A well-meaning assistant manager stepped in to "let" me get the sale price. I understand that there's plenty of room for mistakes, but not for being treated like crap.

Twice, I got in there and felt like I was more of an irritating problem than a paying customer. So far, on 2 occasions, it's been the same lady. I don't know her name, but she wears a ton of makeup and has Gray strands in her hair. But she seems younger. I often have to wait for her to validate my existence. No, hello. No, greeting, just stand there, staring out the window, waiting for me to do my thing like she doesn't even want to look at me. The one time I had to wait for her to finish her cigarette break and chatting with another employee outside the doors while I just stood there in a store all by myself. Wondering when they were going to come in. I hate going to the store because of this. I only go there because I use lowes foods points for my gas discount. Speedway, on Carolina Beach Road, past monkey Junction. It's definitely the only store I'll be going to I always feel like an actual customer there. They acknowledge me, say hello, at least at the minimum, they do that. I enjoyed going to the other store now.Because I know my experience will be horrible at the Gordon road location.
