**this review intended for the Cargo District location. One of the favorites when we visit Wilmington. In the Cargo District, where you can park in their lot or on the street. Some of the best food I've had in the city. A lot of different sandwiches and items to choose from with each sandwich crafted perfectly. Parmesan fries was 10/10 alone; plenty of cheese and seasoning, no soggy fries. Food comes out fairly quick after you order and plenty of seating whether table or bartops along the wall. I had mixed feelings coming here around 8:30pm last night when they were scheduled to close at 9:00-I HATE being "those people". This place came highly recommended and the reviews looked amazing and would have preferred this more for lunch than dinner but for what I will say are reasons beyond my control we came here at 8:30pm on a Friday night while visiting the area. I am so glad that I had the opportunity to visit! The Mac Mama sandwich was amazing!!! I also had a bite of the Asian fries which I thought were pretty good too. You place your order where the menu is located, then they give you a number and bring the sandwiches over to you when they are done. The menu looks pretty similar, if not the same compared to the first location. They also have sandwiches in addition to grilled cheese. Got the maple bacon and partner got the OG with bacon added. Didn't realize until towards the end that our sandwiches were switched, which was annoying since the staff that delivered it seem to know which one we each ordered. The OG didn't have much cheese in it but had a lot of bacon. It had a hint of garam masala. The maple bacon grilled cheese had more cheese in it compared to the OG. Couldn't finish the whole sandwich, only a little bit over half. Not my favorite grilled cheese sandwiches, but still decent. They do know how to grill the sandwiches so the bread is perfectly crispy. Side of regular Parmesan cheese fries were good, enough for two to three people to share. It's not fast food where things are pre-made & warmed. These chefs are actually cooking your food when you order so yes, that will take longer than a 5 min Big Mac. Me & my family moved to Wilmington in Dec 2023. This was the first place we tried after our moving truck left. It was their busy lunch but we didn't mind the wait. We were starving and the menu looked so good. Also, if that many people are willing to wait, you know it's gotta be good. And it was SO worth the wait. We have an active toddler so we found a picnic bench outside where we could enjoy the weather & our son could play with rocks. Figgy Smalls?! GENIUS! It was so good, we came back for more that same week & since then have ordered through GrubHub several times already. The Stallion?! Also insane & Italian hoagies are my absolute fave. Fast forward to their Landfall location opening which is closer to where we live, we were thrilled! We stopped by & though I stayed in the car with our sleeping toddler while my husband went in, he came back & said the place looks awesome. First time I've ever been to a restaurant where there was no mustard salt or pepper to use on your food. Their beer cheese fries are so delicioussss, the Parmesan fries are amazing with their signature "Smith Sauce" . I had the "Classic" sandwich and added on ham, bacon, and jalapeños. I will start by saying the food is really good. I've been here a few times and the food has always been good. That being said, the customer service is hit or miss, the food is way overpriced, and they really need to have ice! It's obvious none of the profit has gone back into the business. The athletics are very plain and simple and haven't changed since opening. There's not a huge drink selection and it's mainly can drinks or water.
