I'm giving Lowe's five stars for the delivery and customer service surrounding my recent appliance purchases. The store itself doesn't do much to encourage buying beyond competitive pricing and a large variety of floor models, but the delivery and follow‑through are where Lowe's truly shines. When I first saw the Kitchen Aid refrigerator I ended up purchasing, I touched the handles and felt immediately connected, the handles are grooved! Once I found a way to plug it in (even after the sales person busy with someone else said not to), opening the door was like illuminating a Hollywood production - the LED lighting was theater for food. I was instantly wowed. Even though I originally planned to buy a basic $800 model, b/c as my one friend said it is just to keep food cold, I went home and purchased the $1,200 one (on sale from 2100) that I had just touched because it was simply stunning. And it was $800 off. Lowe's didn't "sell" me on it; the product did. But Lowes made it available for me to see and realize it will bring me joy every single time I lay eyes on it. Later, when installation ran into an unexpected plumbing issue, Lowe's immediately refunded my plumber's fee - he had driven 95 minutes in 18‑degree weather, right before a major snowstorm. That level of responsiveness is rare, and my plumber deserves a medal, but Lowe's deserves credit for stepping up without hesitation. Lowes delivery made this a WIN-WIN for a very stressed customer. And BTW, our region was it with 6" of snow and temperatures below 10 degrees for the next week. So this was a major save. The LG washer purchase experience this week was excellent. I did not go to the store to see and feel this washer in person, and I do regret that , but I likely would have purchased another Samsung even though it was a full 3" deeper and likely to stick out awkwardly. But the delivery of the LG at 28.3" was superior. The team was professional, careful, and communicative. Delivery is clearly where Lowe's excels in my past 2 purchases. And they of course do a quick run through for the appliance - which seemed to work just fine - and they let me check it for dents or damage before hauling away the old. Overall, while the in‑store experience is basic and not elevated compared to HD, the delivery and post‑delivery support have been outstanding. This is my 2nd washer and 2nd fridge. When the dryer fails, it will be Lowes who gets the call. That's what earns this five‑star review. read more

I have been here multiple times trying to get blinds cut. The machine always seems to be "broken" or the staff unable to figure out how to do it. I find it interesting that it's always during the sales that the equipment seems to be having issues. I've even gone to the point where I attempt to call ahead to make sure someone is there as I have to drive 25 minutes to get there and don't want to waste my time. No one ever answers. It is extremely unfortunate that this is the only one in the area and I will continue to take my business elsewhere. read more

This is a three week update into an ongoing saga from this location. They are the sole reason we are weeks delayed on a house project. They delivered us bathtub instead of a toilet (you read that correctly) and now they refuse to come back and get the bathtub. They have no-showed on us twice for that pick up, and the manager has hung up on us several times. It is impossible to get the store on the phone to remedy this mistake. Avoid this location, and Lowes, in general. 0/10 if possible. read more

Lowe's is not bad for a hardware store, though this location has a gritty feel to it. Sometimes I am forced to shop here because my spouse prefers Lowe's over Home Depot, something about Home Depot contributing to a political party we do not support. But I do prefer Home Depot over Lowe's because product selection is better at Home Depot. For example, Lowe's sells Samsung refrigerator/freezers but does not sell Samsung replacement filters, at least not for the fridge we have. read more

I want to give my heartfelt thanks and full recognition to Tiffany Burns, Kitchen Designer at Lowe's of Alexandria (Store #0715). This review is only about Tiffany and the incredible service she provided. I'll be writing a separate review about KraftMaid and Lowe's as a whole -- what went wrong and what went right -- so that future customers are fully aware of the challenges I experienced. But today, I want to highlight Tiffany alone, because she deserves it. I've been without a kitchen for six months, and the process has been extremely frustrating at times. But through it all, Tiffany has been professional, patient, and incredibly supportive. She guided me through purchasing my entire kitchen package -- appliances, cabinets, everything -- and even when circumstances beyond her control caused delays, she did her best to make the process as smooth as possible. With three kids at home and such a long wait, her kindness, empathy, and dedication meant the world to me. Tiffany went above and beyond, and she truly cared about my situation. If you are designing or purchasing a kitchen, I cannot recommend Tiffany enough. She is a true professional who deserves every bit of recognition and five stars for her outstanding service. read more

Worst customer service ever. I ordered online but accidentally ordered for pickup not delivery which I wanted. When Loew's informed me my goods were ready for pickup, they said pick them up within 2 weeks or we will refund your money and re-shelve your products. Since there was no way to edit the order I decided to wait the 2 weeks and once my order was cancelled, I could reorder the correct way. THAT WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO!! Every few days they charge my credit card AGAIN and then refund my money by deleting the charge. I tried calling my bank but since they delete the charge my bank can't help me. Yesterday I spent hours chatting with their bot only to be told they won't help me. read more

I will NEVER buy anything from Lowe's again. I purchased a GE dishwasher and had it delivered. My electrician came to install it and it is defective and would not power up at all! Lowe's would not allow me to return it or replace it as it was over 48 hours from purchase. WTH??? The customer service gal was like " oh well", that's our policy and giggled. Don't buy an appliance here. I was supposed to have my stove by Christmas. Ordered on December 3. They kept changing the delivery date on me. Then they delivered the stovetop grate by itself in a big truck and charged me $35 just for delivery when I had paid for delivery and haul away of the stove. I never got my stove until January. And they refused to credit me for the $35.00. Terrible customer service. Stay away from Lowe's!! read more

I swear I'm gonna go broke walking through Lowe's Everything is always easy to find and staff is friendly and helpful if I have any questions. I work on cars and houses and am usually in and out in under 20 minutes on the road getting back to work. The checkout lanes I've never really seen packed and the self checkout is a breeze. I do wish that Lowe's hires door security instead of having employees watching over your shoulder the whole time at checkout that can be annoying but I understand the reason. read more

Employees are rude and argumentative. They do not follow the Rose rules on returns. Staff just have no respect for customer service at all. They really do not care about the customer satisfaction. For instance, when shopping for plants, they have no carts available. When asked for a card, they said oh they're in the parking lot. Nobody offers to go get you a card. They expect you to just walk all the way out to the parking lot to get a car and come back. most loads have carts all over the plant area. read more

Don't buy anything from Lowes that you think you might return, because you run the risk of not seeing your money back, and also you will be badly mistreated, disrepected and not listened to. Here is my unfinished story: On November 29th, 2024 I purchased a kitchen and set delivery for January 2025, and then to February. On January 26th, 2025 I cancelled the purchase of the range and its delivery, as well as the range protection plan and a microwave which I did keep. I was told that I would be refunded $1257.74 to the credit card I paid with within 3 to 10 days. It is February 26th and that money is still not in my account. In that period I have been to the store as many as 4 times, spoken 4 times to customer service and once to a Lowes financial service person (who is supposed to be only for employee service but whose number was provided to me on the second to last visit). Each time I have been to the store I have been disrespected, spoken to in a derogatory manner, implied that I wanted to collect twice, and been told that the funds were never collected because I never received the product. On the second-to-last visit (February 25th) for the first time after several attemps, they pay attention and listened to my arguments, allow themselves to check the receipt and my credit card statement and were able to verify the total amount charged (more than 1500 dollars), checked my bank card account and the February statement, verifying that the amount to be refunded had not been reflected. I asked them for the proof, the document, showing that the refund had been made so that I could ask my bank (where I had previously contacted them twice). Only then, the person who attended me called a phone number and found out what the number of the finance area was. Because of the time, the finance area was closed, so I was given the number and the option to call, with the instruction to call earlier today. I called today, 26th, at 2:32 pm, a person answered and confirmed that due to an error in the system the money had not gone out. She told me that she was going to call the store immediately so that the refund could be made from there, with a correction on the card. I went back to the store this afternoon, and they told me that no one had called, that they could do nothing. I had a hard time making myself heard, and they went through the paperwork again. Finally they agreed to call the store manager, named Keith, and after reviewing again all the documentation (purchase ticket, my 2024 card bank statement, and the card movements between January 26 and February 26) he told me that tomorrow morning he would call. Tomorrow we will have another chapter, let's see if it is true that he calls. read more

Shameful! We went today to try to buy paving sand and a wheelbarrow and couldn't buy the wheelbarrow because no one on staff knew how to locate a manager to unlock it. Told me to walk around the store looking for her! Three employees in the garden section (men) stood around talking and watching my husband lift 20 bags of paving stones himself into the cart- no one helped. We asked for assistance getting them into the car and cashier "didn't know his to do that" nor did she "know how to call the manager to unlock the wheelbarrow". My husband then paid men standing outside to help him. I left to find someone to help us purchase the wheelbarrow and went to "customer service desk" where the woman instructed me to walk around the store looking for the manager myself - Not kidding. Gave me the physical description and everything! Then I went to the cashiers in the front to ask for help and he was no help either. We just went to Home Depot to purchase a wheelbarrow. Also, I was going to be nice and just call the manager and alert her to how despicable this entire experience was, but the phone isn't being answered. As of now, it's been ringing for 6 minutes, 30 seconds. I wish I was kidding or exaggerating. You all need to get it together! read more

Zero Stars - yelp insists on at least one. Where is my lawn mower? Dropped my EGO mower off for repair under warrantee on 18 June. I have tried to call Lowes Customer "Service" numerous times hoping for an update, but the phone has never been answered. I visited the store a week ago and left with a promise of a return phone call "soon" with a status on the repair update. No call received. Lowes contract repair is UNSATISFACTORY. If their contractors cannot do the job it is incumbent on Lowes to find ones that will. Lowes' UNSATISFACTORY performance makes me wish I'd been more firm with EGO CS and insisted on a private local repair shop instead. Be forewarned - Lowes CANNOT perform repairs in anything close to a timely manner. read more

Drove 35 minutes to Alexandria just go to Lowe's to get some Christmas lights I found online. Checked the website before I took the trip & it said there were a lot available but when I got there, it was slim pickens. It's the season, I get it, but I did intentionally go out of my way, based off the website, so you can imagine my disappointment of wasting my time - an hour round trip. All in all, they seemed to have a decent selection of other stuff; I didn't really shop because I was there for a specific purpose. I did get extra bulbs, which the competitor doesn't not sell in store (only online) so it wasn't a total waste. They were not the opaque bulbs I had wanted, they were translucent, but beggars can't be choosy, lol. The staff was friendly enough, and I was in & out fairly quickly & painlessly. Plenty of parking too. Just wish the store reflected the website and prepped for the season rather than use it as an excuse. read more

Tried to do a pickup order but had to go through several employees to just pickup what I had already ordered and paid for. Horrible and unprofessional behavior and treatment by the employees and even store manger on duty. They even have a sign saying be nice to the employees, not joking its at the front of the store. Makes me think of the saying, If you run into an a$shole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into a$sholes all day, you're the asshole. You think lowes would see if they have that many upset customers maybe its not the customers. If you do have to go here expect to see a lot of employees just standing around and not helping. And even if they talk to you they will be rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. Make sure to record them with your phone to be safe. read more

Curbside service isn't working. I received the wrong order. My fault for not checking. The car next to me tapped my window. Because she got notice it was delivered. Tried calling and all you get is a recording. Chatted with a worker who said they were busy and understaffed. 30 minutes later I'm still waiting. Won't be doing this ever again. read more

I sought Lowes to perform a window installation. The measuring and sales process was great. The price was also very good. The contractor that Lowes chooses is "Integrity First." This company is yet another subcontractor that seems to find unreliable and unavailable contractors to perform the work. The first appointment 9/13 was made without my consent so I asked to reschedule for 9/20. The contractor missed that appointment and Integrity First stated "they could not get a hold of the contractor." The second appointment from 8AM-12PM 10/03 was missed. After speaking with Lowes and Integrity, I was told someone was on their way at 4:30PM. The installer arrived at 6:30PM and was able to deliver the window but could not install because of how late in the day it was. Installation was rescheduled for the following day 10/04 between 2-5PM. Installer arrived slightly before 5PM and stated it was too late in the day to perform installation. It was already after 5PM on Friday so I waited until next week to follow up with Lowes or Integrity First. I had faith the company would reach out so I did not do anything on Monday. On Tuesday Melissa from Lowes follows up asking how installation went. I called installation customer service back and advised the window installation was not performed and the window is merely sitting inside my home still sealed in plastic wrap. The rep stated they would write "notes" and would follow up on Friday. On Thursday 10/10, I called Integrity First and Lowes for an update and Integrity stated additional parts were needed. Each party seemed to state they were waiting on the other party for information or for parts. I spoke to Lowes today 10/14 and the lady stated the additional parts needed have not been requested. A few days later I finally received a new appointment window; 11/5 8-12PM. Keep in mind the window was available early September and the first appointment 9/13. Terrible. I ordered a dishwasher online, which the installer picked up from this store. When it arrived, the installer noticed that the dishwasher was damaged/defective after he took it out of the box in my driveway, so the installer took it back. Because it was picked up from the store, however, Lowe's charged me the full price for the dishwasher, installation, and related parts. Two+ weeks, multiple phone calls to the Lowe's installation services line and this store later, and hours on hold, and I have not received any kind of resolution, because no one at the store picks up and the phone system hangs up on you. The installer line keeps telling me that they will get back to me and then they do not. Each time I follow up, they do nothing for me. So, to recap: I have now paid for the product, but not received it, and no-one is answering to help get me what I ordered or a suitable replacement. This is the worst customer experience I have had in my entire life (including cable and high speed internet). I will never shop at Lowe's again and will tell all my family and friends to do the same. read more

While this Lowes Alexandria -- in terms of decors and organization -- is somewhat more appealing than Home Depot Falls Church (at Seven Corners), the service is terrible. We ordered on their website a Toto toilet for pick up in-store. We came here with everything required (ID, credit card used for the order, the order number and bar code), and the staff at the pick up counter was just disinterested. Not outright grumpy, but economical with words (not even a yes). She took everything. Typed on her computer. Went to the back. Came back out empty handed. Talked to a colleague. Then, spoke to us "wait here." That's it! We waited for a long long time! No update. No nothing. Picking things up is a mystery. We had to flag another staff down to check. Turns out the male colleague went to the back to find a machine to take it down (apparently stored up high?). That takes time. When finally our order arrived, the box was opened. No idea why. We took it home hoping nothing is amiss. read more

Unfortunately, this store is the closest one to the project site that has been ongoing for past 3 months, there were not a single trip to the store without an issues(plural)!!! All issues are from very poor management and LAISY associates at a large. Not only they are rude and unwilling to help, but managers are standing their point and grounds even if it is clear that they are are fault of not running the store ( and they are being compensated to run the store). To the corporate: - rude associates -rude, unorganized and passionate-less management -whole chaos related to stocking and organizing -department leaders are not knowing what is going within their departments -lack of employees during several days( only 6 employees were running a whole store management-less on January 3-4, 2022) - unprofessional and clueless employees, cashiers, customer service relations Special attention to Lilian, STORE MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT, people are not disrespectful, you are disrespectful and useless, your associate approaching your clients in rude and profane manner. YOU personally must listen and listen carefully, and maybe switch the place and position your are holding to give your place to someone who may PERFORM you duties as professional. read more

Recently decided to put hardwood flooring in our master bedroom, and chose Lowes of Alexandria to handle the job. While we love our new floor, the entire process was a complete debacle! There was absolutely no coordination between the store, the delivery team, and the installer. As an example, we were told the delivery of the wood and other installation materials would be a two-step process. Step #1: flat bed truck would place all materials in our driveway. Step #2: a second team would follow right behind to move everything in our house. Step #2 did not happen. It took various phone calls, emails, and even threats to cancel our installation to get Lowes to send someone out to move the stuff inside. On the first day they were supposed to do it, they were a no show. On the second scheduled day, no show again. Finally, on scheduled day three (almost a week later), two guys showed up and reluctantly moved everything inside our home (while complaining the entire time). As if all this wasn't bad enough, the Lowes sales team ordered way too much material for the job. When I asked if we would get a refund for the unused materials, the answer was "yes, but there is a 20% restocking fee for the wood flooring because it was special order". What?!? THEY measured the room, and ordered the materials. Why should I be penalized because of their mistake? And if it was a special order, why was I not told that upfront. And secondly, why does their website show it is in stock in various stores throughout my area? Sounds pretty fishy to me. (FYI, I'm actually still battling with them over my refund.) In sum, unless you want a big hassle, don't use Lowes of Alexandria for any home improvement projects. I know I will never again. (Note: I would like to say the contracted installers hired were excellent. Very fast, professional, did a great job, and didn't leave behind even a speck of trash/ debris after the job was completed.) read more

The woman at customer service, two cashiers, and the paintman ran me around that store like relatives trying to avoid a broke nephew begging for money. 1) They had no idea what I was talking about, then 2) They lied about where I could get it, 3) Then they lied on the one that sent me, 4) And, then, they sent me to the next one! I had to wait 40min today to get my items that were literally behind the counter. I pointed it out to the staff many times, but they insisted I wait for "someone". A lot of staff were waiting around and having conversations and the customer queue was getting longer and longer. My old refrigerator bit the dust. I searched online and went to stores. No one had one that would fit my space and be white to match the rest, instead of stainless steel. Then I got online to Lowe's and they had one! I contacted chat and got to work on getting this fridge. I have a small front door so the doors on both fridges had to come off to make the exchange. That was okay with Lowe's. I had been refused elsewhere because of the door issue. The chat guy, Clyde, helped me through all the steps with competence and patience. Two days from purchase I have a new fridge running in my kitchen. The two guys that came with it had all the tools and know-how to get the exchange made. Doors off and new one set up in about 30 minutes. They were amazing. And nice. I highly recommend Lowe's for your appliance needs. read more

I ordered an A/C unit online on a Saturday morning and less than two hours later, I received the confirmation order that I could come pick it up. The curbside pickup parking spots were easier enough to find in the lot and the signs provide the phone number to call to have your order brought out. The reason I'm giving four stars is that I couldn't get anyone on the phone for 15 minutes after I did arrive. It was HOT, and I hate idling my car (bad for the planet and local air, you know), and after five minutes of no response, I was getting concerned that I would have to go into the busy store. I called three times before I was able to connect with someone (my first call sent me back around to the main menu too). But after connecting, it was easy enough to provide my order number and three minutes later, a Lowe's employee was loading the appliance into the trunk of my car. Although I was doing curbside, I will note that everyone going into the Lowe's and who I could see around the Garden center was wearing a mask. However, it was a very busy place on an early Saturday afternoon (about as busy as it would normally be without a pandemic, I expect). read more

What can I say, this Lowe's location is a pile of garbage. I've placed two home delivery orders with them in the last 2 weeks. The first was a small order with a patio table and some cushions. A few hours after I placed my order, I received an email saying my order had been delivered, with a photo of my items at someone else's house! I spent over an hour calling the store, with no answer on any line. I ended up walking around my neighborhood until I found the items one street over, and ended up carrying everything back to my house. Once I got home, I noticed that Lowe's had stacked some bags of concrete on the cushions, and they were crushed and had concrete powder all over them. I tried calling the store again with no response, so I ended up washing everything to clean it up. This week I thought I would give them another try since the local competitor did not have everything I needed in stock. So I ordered over $1200 in lumber and building supplies to build a shed, and selected home delivery and proceeded to place the order with their $99 delivery fee. A few hours later, I receive an email saying some of my items were cancelled in the order. It turns out that every item was cancelled, saying they were out of stock. I had over 90 items in the order, including basic lumber (2x4s and plywood), so I find it incredibly hard to believe everything was out of stock. This is just another dishonest business, and should be avoided. read more

Im order to get help you have to run around and get someone and that someone NEVER wants to help. You can't find one smiling face in any of the employees.
