Everyone can have an off day, and I understand that... But this is the second time in dealing with a store manager named Victor, that seems at best apathetic to his approach for customer service... He All but rolled his eyes at me after we recounted what happened. We purchased a set of patio chairs with pillow tops, when the Lowes employee brought them out we expressed our concerned about the condition of the box. It had rips and holes. We asked if there was any other boxes we could have... The attendant said there wasn't any more... When we arrived to our house and unpacked it... The box along with the pillows and everything else was riddled with the rat poop. It was so bad that it got all over my garage floor, my vehicle, rat poop everywhere. .Everyone seemed pretty upset including others patrons and some employees, except for customer service and Victor the Manager. All Victor could do was say we can give you another one. To them I was a bother and nothing more. I shared what the attendant had said...about no other boxes. After looking at their inventory they had 21 more boxes. Victor's 's disposition of an I don't care is appalling... Not even an apology, or expression of a regret for what happen. The waste of time. I ordered online for curbside pickup at the Apple Valley, Ca Lowe's. I went to the store Sunday morning 6/28/2020 to pick up at 7:45 they wouldn't answer the phone, two calls for a total of 6 1/2 minutes. I asked the two guys setting up barbecue grills for assistance. They assisted by telling me the desk must be busy. So I called the Lowe's 800 number to cancel, Sunday and Monday I gave up after 10 minutes on hold, today I persevered for 29 minutes and was finally able to cancel. Not real happy with my Lowe's experience and Home Depot is right across the street. read more

Overall, I love shopping at Lowes. We got all of our new appliances for our new home there. BUT, buying the over the range microwave has been a complete nightmare. We originally purchased it on September 2nd, and were told we would receive a phone call to schedule the installation within 3 days. We did not. After calling the store for several days, we finally found out that the associate who had sold us the microwave had forgotten to pull it from stock and notify the installer to schedule an installation. September 12th, we finally had someone come to install it, only to find out that, due to door clearance, it would not work in our kitchen. We took the microwave back that same night and did an exchange for one that would work. Again, we were supposed to receive a call to schedule the installation within 3 days. It is now September 19th. Still no call. I have been calling to schedule it myself, but no one answers. We still have no microwave, after spending over $300 to get one, and it has been almost a month. Lowes, you really need to tighten up how you process your installation contracts. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

Last week we were in Lowe's in Apple Valley and an item needed a manager's override. The checkout person Samantha, was great, and called several times for a manager to come and do the override. After waiting over half an hour, I finally called the store myself on my cell phone and told them what was happening, that the checker had called several times but no one showed up. They said they would send someone. After 10 minutes more went by, I called them again. The person who answered the phone said there were only so many managers available who could do the override, yadayada. I politely told her my husband is disabled and has trouble standing for long periods of time, it had been nearly 45 minutes and that I was getting ready to lose it, and asked her to "please help us." She said she would call someone again. After about 5 more minutes manager Aaron slowly strolled up and did the override. He did not even acknowledge or look at us, much less apologize for the wait. I was going to talk to him, and nicely explain what had happened and that I like going there, but this was a very bad experience. But he went and sat behind a desk behind the checkout counter and I was so fed up and tired by that time (and my husband was hurting bad) that we just left. The more I go to different Lowe's stores, the less I'm impressed. The employees here are friendly and helpful, which is great, but this store suffers the same problems as all of their other stores. Poor inventory controls and they are understaffed. One person working the returns and pick up counter is not enough, even for a place as small as Apple Valley. I ordered a piece of trim online. 2 hours later, it wasn't ready for pickup, so I spent the next 45 mins going through all of their trim to find the one I needed because it wasn't in the proper place. It was so frustrating, I didn't bother buying the other items I needed so I drove across the street to Home Depot to pick up all of my common items. I just needed to get out of Lowe's. Needless to say, this will be the last time I visit a Lowe's. At least until they get their shit together. read more

Ah Lowe's, every homeowners dream. Moving into my third house now, I have been a regular in Columbus and now here. The service is always good, the staff nice, its well stocked and the prices are great. I always find what I need after walking around aimlessly for an hour, there is no fast trip to Lowe's, you always get stuck staring at the huge selection. I went to Lowe's to buy a shop vac and wanted to know if they would honor the discounted online price. I asked an employee on the floor who directed me to customer service. When I walked up to customer service, they were helping another customer....so I waited patiently off to the side. After waiting ten minutes, "Kaleigh" the customer service rep that worked said, "The line is over there and proceeded to help a customer who came in after me from the outside of the store". When I had informed her that I was here before the customer she told me that I was in the wrong spot and the line was over here which if you shopping inside the store there is no indication the line starts over on the opposite side of the counter. I wasn't the only customer from inside the store "in the wrong spot" to be helped. After letting her know that I should have been helped first because I was waiting and unaware that being in the wrong spot would mean I would be ignored and passed on she said out loud "any ways" rolled her eyes and continued to help the other customer. I was so furious at the disrespect and lack of customer service skills.. I couldn't stand to stay. She could have apologized and I would have waited to be helped but instead she disrespected me front of other customers and employees. She was rude, disrespectful and unconcerned about purposely ignoring my husband and I because we "stood in the wrong spot" to be helped. I don't ever write reviews, but this Lowe's was very deserving of one. We went on Black Friday around one In the after noon and it was so pleasant. I loved walking in and seeing coffee and cookies and the woman who was in the front was so cheerful! It got even better when I saw Santa and he took a picture with our little dog! Every worker we came in contact with was in high spirits, which for Black Friday and working is retail takes a toll on people(understandably). To top it off, the store was very clean and organized. Tried to do a return yesterday. Second person in line. After 15 minutes of waiting to be helped with multiple associates walking by, and now 5 people behind me, no one helped. Had to leave. Ridiculous service level. Never associates available on floor to ask questions. Went back to do return today, and was told I have to go back to original store. What you buy online has to go back to original store. Waited another 15 minutes to be told that I cant. Absolutely horrible customer service. I do not understand why on a 09/06/2020 Sunday morning at 11 a clock in the morning they have one cashier working and one person working the self-checkout stands that never work. Probably over 35 people in line waiting trying to get out of the store. Poor management makes you want to order online and never go to the store. Please get rid of the blonde girl in the paint section. The other day I was looking for a paint that said well over 24 items were in stock. She pretty much said she wasn't going to waste her time checking to see if it was in their over stock. With today included, she has been beyond rude to us twice this last week. I wouldn't be as upset if I hadn't been spending thousands of dollars in this store in the last couple of months after buying and updating our house. I bought a whole kitchen set ($6,000) through Kendall, who was very pleasant, helpful, informative, and overall made everything go smoothly. My boyfriend, who is a contractor, buys thousands of dollars worth of material every month for jobs. I just spent hundreds of dollars on new sinks, faucets and paint for my bathroom remodel. But because of that rude employee, I will just go across the street to Home Depot and spend my money. At least there, the employees aren't rude, and there is a bigger selection of everything. I preferred Lowes until today. If I do happen to return, I hope that the blonde female employee in paint is no longer there. read more

On sept. 2 I bought a range and dishwasher for my new home with a delivery date of the 16th. With all the busyness that comes with moving, I missed placed my receipt. On the 15th, supposably someone came in with my original receipt and without any Id, drivers license or my debit card was able to get 1,000 worth of merchandise credit for my items. Lowe's refuses to take any blame for not getting any information before giving MY money away. The district manager refuses to call me in regards to this issue, even after I filled a police report. *Lowe's called the next day after the original review and they will be delivering my items in the next few days!! I can't express how happy I am that they decide as a company to do the right thing!!! During this whole ordeal, I had to speak to many different sales associates and managers and I honestly can say that Keith [one of the managers] was the only person that actually showed compassionate for my family. I have had the worse experience purchasing windows from this store. I should of canceled the first time when Kenny the sales guy jacked up my order somehow but stupid me didn't. My order started in May 2023 and it is now January 1st 2024 I still have one window missing, another installed incorrectly on top of the window trim, the installation company not only has cancelled 2 appointments but also just decided to not show up on another appointment. Kenny is always on vacation, at least thats what everyone always tells me, he tells the store people to tell me hes going to call me back but doesn't, and I have been paying for a window job that is not done yet. The I messed up the first discount Kenny said he would give me if I didn't cancel has not been applied to my account and today when I look now I get hit with a $1800 dollar interest charge because ofcourse Kenny said I was getting a 2 year no interest deal but since he said it ofcourse thats not happening. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE, Kenny told me he would personally fix this and all hes done is ignore my purchase so im done playing this game. read more

We found a grill and a flat bed with a patio set. 1 2 grills and a patio set. I applied for credit with the customer service rep "Ashley" she was so nice and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't qualify blah blah. So I asked if she can call someone to help us grab our items. The associate walks up and tells me " yeah just grab them and take them to the register " I mentioned I understood that I can walk them up but I need help since they are 3 big items plus I have a toddler on my other hand . That still didn't stop us to continue with your purchase. So we walk up to the front to the register. Where another associate began to assist, we greatly appreciated it. When we approached to the register The customer ahead of us advised me I should Ask for a discount to my grill due to scratches and dents. I said thanks for the advice. I'm not sure I'f that's what made this service horrible. I saw the cashiers attitude change once it was our turn. She looked at us and asked if we were just price checking . I mentioned no we are purchasing all. Scanned away with attitude asked for the discount and said she had to ask her manager. She didn't do that doe the customers ahead. The manager looked at me and said no. That the original price was 345 and what's why it was 315. I mentioned all grills including outside are damaged ? She said yes . I wasn't going to argue and just kept the one I had it was good looking . We asked for assistance to load the item 45 min waiting in this heat 109f We saw customers come and go still no help. Singled a loader and no help walked the other direction. Mi husband walked back inside to ask if someone was coming she yelled at my husband and said " you can't do it yourself !?" I hate writing negative reviews but this one is a must! I made a pick up order earlier today and made my way to Lowes in Apple Valley, stopped by the bear valley Lowes first as they did not have one of the items we needed to finish the project. I arrive to Lowes and they inform us that they are closed and that they closed early today. We arrive at 6:02 pm mind you before we even left the house we verified that Lowes was open online. Drove 15 miles for no reason. I asked to speak to a manager and a Tom head cashier stated he was the manager and kept signaling his hand across his neck universal sign of done. His communication was completely unprofessional. It would've been nice if Lowes would've called their pick-up orders letting them know that they were closing early we would've either left earlier or rescheduled to pick up tomorrow. What's more upsetting is that we literally had one pick up would've taken them 2 minutes to complete and I would not be here writing this review. They are so inconsiderate about your time. It's been awhile since I went to Lowes. The store us resetting (again) their merchandise. It's not very logical and hard to find items. There also is a real rat infestation and even saw a full grown adult run across the aisle...INSIDE the store. Make sure u check your items and wash your hands after visiting. Rude sales associates in the Garden center. I shopped the discount rack for plants. Some good deals. I selected a Cala Lilly that was marked down to $10 and some River grass marked down to $2 a piece. He rings up my order and says the least he can go down on the calls Lilly is $13. I told him it's clearly marked $10. I waited 45 plus minutes for head cashier. Overheard the cashier tell them to take their time. I think not. Hurry cause I got things to do also. Nancy helped us on two separate occasions she is a really hard worker. She helped us load 34 pavers into our truck and helped push the cart down the isle because it was so heavy. There were other employees around but she is the one that stopped to help both times we were in the store. The first time she called for help and when no one showed up she took care of us. It said in my receipt that Joe Long is the store manager. I hope he reads this and knows that Nancy is appreciated. read more

Very disorganized. I purchased kitchen appliances from Lowe's. I purchased appliances that should have been here a week ago. I received half of the order. I had to pay more for these appliances as the bundle I wanted was out of stock and would t be available until two months later. There has been very poor communication between us and I have been told different dates from different people about the remainder of my order. However, Lowe's was prompt in sending me the bill for products I have not received yet. I will never purchase big items from them again. I needed new windows so had an estimate competed and the estimator told me he would have an estimate to me in 3 days tops. After calling and leaving messages and texts I never received anything from him. 2 weeks later I went to the store, to customer service, and they took down my info and said an assistant manager would call me. I like Home Depot better but lowes has a nice garden section and great stuff for my pond. When I was building my pond I was much happier with the level of helpful information available at lowes than Home Depot. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and they have a ton of stuff for both your yard and indoor needs. I was very happy with the prices and the amount of different types of themes they had this year. The prices are high for most of the stuff compared to the store across the street. I'm only more likely to shop here because they have a cleaner and nicer store. They are kinda rude about returning items even with a receipt. I had some plants that died and the lady was questioning my care of them. Hello! I obviously suck at plant care if they are dead so give me my money so I can try again. Ordered a range online, The date was 11/30/2019. It is now 01/25/2020 and still have not received it. Called the apple valley ca. store 01/24/2020 and it was in stock and would be delivered on 01/25/2020. Here it is 01/25/2020 and about 10:30 AM, called back to check on delivery. The delivery manager was at lunch she will call you back in about an hour, no call and had to call back about noon. Talked to her (not mentioning any names) she said she had made a mistake and would have it delivered on 01/26/2020(unacceptable). Has to be the worst Lowe's I have ever been to. We went in asking to see if they had and outside umbrella the lady never returned. We finally hunted her down to be told let me help these customers first. Finally found the umbrella on our own. We went into the garden section because we bought to huge palms and ask what was the best soil and was told to choose one as he walked a way leaving me to carry the 2 10 pound soil bags by myself. Finally we go to check out asked if we could leave literally $1500 worth of stuff we were buying up front so my husband could help the guy with the $1500 grill we were buying to bring to the front and Patti the check out lady keep rolling her eyes at us and acted as if our money was no good here. I definitely will not be shopping at Lowe's anymore. In the last six weeks alone I've spent at least $6000 on material (at this store) for a small project. After getting the runaround for having to return something, I realized I was being treated more like a criminal than a customer. I had to return about 10 items, and I had brought in dozens of receipts, not knowing which sku's were on each receipt. I was told by the person in returns that I had to find the SKU for each item on each receipt for her to accept my return! Have you ever tried to find an item with the minimal description printed on their receipts? Especially when there's 30+ items on a receipt?? I told the women to forget it and just give me a store credit. She said I can't do that. You have to have your receipt for us to accept a return. I turned over one of the Lowes receipts and read to her what it said about receiving store credit for returns not accompanied by a receipt. She said she would have to talk to her manager about that. What?? It's a printed receipt wit your policy in plain English - what else is there to discuss? I won't waste my time listing all the other idiotic comments shared with me. I will only say that it took 45 minutes to sort it out and get the refund or store credit for the items I returned. I am amazed that Lowes would have a policy that they so obviously do not want to honor. And I will never understand why Lowes would challenge a commercial client when your largest competitor is directly across the street! No need to tell me anything more - I know where to take my business from now on. Lowe's is for homeowners - Home Depot is for pros. Last time I kick myself for forgetting that...better to deal with HD's cluttered isles and absentee employees than be treated as I was at Lowe's. read more
