The girls in the return department right inside the door are really fast and friendly and helpful. I like how they honor veterans giving us a front row parking spot if it's available. The painting area helpers and employees are pretty knowledgeable and nice. Nope no more of my hard earned money is going towards you all. My $3800.00 fridge? My $1200 dishwasher? My pretty stove and ceiling fans? Nope not anymore! We woke up this morning and our door is locked but I'm unable to unlock it so I'm locked in my own house. I have no other door to open and try with a key. So thankful to have tools inside the house. So we uninstalled the door handle and we head off to Lowe's ( original purchase 6 years ago ) lifetime warranty. This is why I spent $169.00 on the stupid thing. I placed an order for cement & paid for delivery. Delivery was set for 2pm. I'm paying someone $50 an hour to mix & pour it. At 2pm when still not delivered I looked at order online. It now says delivery today with no time. I'm paying a guy $50 an hour to sit and wait. (I couldn't catch him before he left to come to my home & I don't think it's fair not to compensate him when he shows up.) I called store. They said the 3rd party vendor hasn't picked it up yet. I tried to remain calm & say that the Lowes site doesn't mention anything about being dependent on 3rd party vendor. I ran in to quickly buy a $500 lawnmower, in-store help was very nice and then I waited in the parking lot so long to have someone help me load it into the back of my SUV that I finally just strong armed it in myself. I'm an over 60-year-old woman, not exactly how I want to spend time hurting myself but after waiting 10 or so minutes realize no one was coming to help. Horrible! They have become extreme scam artists. Not the store but the credit card. Unfortunately/ conveniently they have no place to leave a review of their credit card. I had a credit card with them for 17 years! I purchased something for around 500 dollars and noticed * was now being charged 3plus dollars just for sending me my bill! Then when I paid the balance in full I was sent another bill for $3.71 and when I called to ask them to drop that charge I was put on hold for 15 mins then told by the representative that it was a legitimate charge. I told him I didn't care how they figured they could legally screw me out of it I just wanted it removed. He told me I needed to listen to him explain over and over again how the charge was legitimate. I was so frustrated I was raising my voice, he just kept telling me I only heard what I wanted to hear. When I told him I get that I was being screwed out of the charge legally but that I would close my acct of 17 years if he made me pay the charge. My wife and I recently purchased the washer and dryer from Lowe's and unfortunately one of them we selected to have delivered and the other one we had to pick up at the store. Service was excellent at the store. The selection unfortunately appears to have been similar to that of the dryer that was delivered, in that there is a or what appears to be a manufacturer defect. When the dryer was delivered, the two gentlemen tested it and recognized that it had a problem and immediately took it back after calling their supervisor. When my friend and I pick up the washer and brought it home, we didn't immediately take it out of the box, but when we did And the hose that was attached to the washer, unit was taken off there was water inside the hose, which led us to believe that it may be used. We decided to hook it up to see if it would run correctly, but unfortunately this dishwasher isn't draining properly and it's not spinning properly. My wife and I have an unplugged it and are looking through the instructional manual again to see if there's something that needs to be done before we contact Lowe's. We hope and anticipate Lowe's would do the right thing if indeed it's necessary. We have no reason to believe that Lowe's wouldn't do the right thing. As for value, I'm not sure we're getting the value that we paid for given that the washer appears to have an issue and the dryer, the first dryer that was delivered had a defect. The drivers told us they were taking back another unit/same product from G. E. I don't know if it's a G. E. issue, but we'll see. I do hope that the new washer that we purchased wasn't a used washer that was put into a box and sold as a new one given that a hose that was attached to the washer that was boxed had water in it. read more

I would no longer recommend this store. I purchased a new higher end cabinets for my entire house with Jena. Cabinets came with some defects and cracks. Large gaps between the doors and dishes can be seen through. Doors out of square. Hello everyone, I bought a Allen & Roth electric fireplace on February 15, 2023 at Lowes in Arlington, Washington and they cannot get me a warranty part for the electric fireplace and I started this whole process on February 21st. Here is my story and I hope and encourage you read it. Here is the problem: I have had zero results so far for a heater part that I ordered after I assembled and tested all the controls.The "SHUT-OFF TIMER" for the heater did not work regardless of the delay setting that can only be accessed from the remote control. I contacted ASCS, an outside product support company for Lowes, and explained the problem and asked for another heater unit. They wanted to send me another remote control to test if the problem was with the remote control device. I received the replacement remote control and tested it along with the original remote control and the problem still existed. I contacted ASCS and they said that they will contact the manufacturer of the Allen & Roth fireplace and submit a warranty claim for the heater. I was also told that the manufacturer would contact me in a few days with the shipping/tracking numbers. Nobody contacted me from the manufacturer, Lowes or ASCS. Again I was told that they would contact the manufacturer. The response from ASCA was that they submitted an order to the manufacturer and gave me a warranty order number. I was told that it could take up to 60 days for the part to arrive at ASCS and then shipped to me. Guess what, No part and no contacting me so I contacted them again by phone and the man told me something about an earlier part order had been cancelled. I asked why the part order had been cancelled and ASCS would not tell me the answer. Still a few weeks went by and no heater part shipped to me. Again contact them and they told me that the part was now no longer available from the manufacturer. I had been told a few times to just return the fireplace to Lowes for a replacement or a refund. I told ASCS and Lowes on several occasions that it is not possible to disassemble the fireplace and return it without a lot of damage because of it's design and also unecessary cost for me to rent 2 men and a Uhaul truck. They never responded to my statement. Then I told them to send two men and a truck to my apartment and pick it up and I live about 1300 feet across the road from Lowes. Again no response. I went to Lowes and asked for the manager who was not in. I spoke with a assistant manager to whom I showed all my emails and she wanted scanned copies emailed to her. I sent her all communications. A month goes by and no contact from anyone. I contacted the assistant manager and she said that she would again forward my warranty claim documentation to the manager. Another month goes by and I sent another email to the assistant manager asking for me to be contacted by the manager. She said that the manager told her that he/she would contact me by the end of that day. That was a few days ago. Over the last 20 years, I have spent thousands at Lowes for home and garden projects when I had my house because I liked the atmosphere and types of products better than Home Depot. Without even listening to our question, we were told to go find 'so-n-so' a few aisles over. They never even asked or heard what we had to say?!?!?! We prepaid almost $300 to have a kitchen faucet installed and twice the morning of them coming out they canceled and now the guy says he can't come out for over another week. I purchased a countertop from Lowes, and the various pieces of countertop they stuck together didn't match, so I complained, and we agreed to settle the issue with them taking $500.00 off the total purchase price. In November I talked to Samantha in customer service, who said my original price was $4339.75, and that minus the $500 settlement, I owed $3839.76, and that if I paid that the debt would be settled. I then went ahead and paid the 3839.76, and less than a week later Samantha contacted me and said I actually did owe that $500.00 more. Now, Lowes is trying to say I owe $1000.00. My old frig died on a hot day in August...Lowes was the only option for next day delivery, and their price was the same or cheaper than all other stores in the area! Unfortunately, delivery service got its wires crossed and we missed the first truck, but April in scheduling was able to get our new refrigerator delivered the very next morning. I purchased a dishwasher online from Lowe's on July 18th. I chose Lowe's because other stores had said the dishwasher was on back-order, and Lowe's gave a 2 week delivery date. After making the purchase, I received an email confirming the purchase and delivery date of August 5th, with a note warning that the "delivery may be delayed". This frustrated me, but I had already made the purchase. We uninstalled our old dishwasher in preparation to delivery, but on August 2nd received a change to the delivery date to august 19th. We reconnected the dishwasher, but left it partially out so we didn't have to re-install it. To make a long story a little shorter, we received the following additional delivery delays: * September 22nd * October 6th * October 20th * November 3rd * November 17th Unfortunately, on November 17th, we were under quarantine until November 27th, so we had to reschedule. They gave us a new date of December 5th, between 8 and noon with a 30 minute advanced warning call. The day before they sent a confirmation email, with a time change (that I didn't notice) of 11:30 to 3:30. The delivery came within the window, but I did not receive a phone call beforehand. I bought from them because they insinuated that they had the dishwasher in stock. I received three personal communications from them saying it should arrive in two weeks, one of which was after I sent an email to them asking for the truth on when it would be in. I was also told once that they were about a month out on delivery--after I had waited two months. If they had told me up-front that it would take 5 months to deliver, I would have understood. We live in those times. I may not have purchased from them, but I certainly wouldn't have been upset for the delay. However, since they insinuated that they could get it out to me in two weeks, and then continued to push it out a short amount of time rather than giving me an actual time-frame, I can assure them that I will never shop with Lowe's again, and I recommend against purchasing anything online from them because of their deceitfulness. If you do, be aware that you cannot trust the time-frame that they give you on delivery. You may get it on time, but it may take 5 months. Lowe's and their agents dropped the ball big time on a garage door project we waited for over 4 months for install! They tried to bait and switch us on the price initially by charging a higher price than the estimate, then somehow the project magically got cancelled without our knowledge or permission even though I had been faithfully paying on the finance plan and was already over $1500 into the payments! Once it was revealed that this had transpired (project initiated in March/April, supposed to be complete in August), the company that was supposed to provide the doors offered to restart the project but we would have to wait another 4 months! Tool selection is horrible, and I couldn't find the tools I needed even after using the app, locating the "in stock" items on the app, and going to the aisle and bay. The shelves look like a flea market display, no organization. Kind of like a Walmart of hardware stores. The aisles are too narrow but expect large carts to go by fine. During the ring up process, the UPC for washer fluid wouldn't ring up. I get it, small thing, but this isn't the first time I've had to wait while their items weren't in the system. For the most part, the store is great. Good selection, clean and well staffed. Kayla in paint is great and helped me out a lot. My one star is because of the nightmare I had with window coverings. Kelly told me multiple times that she would fix my order. So did Shaun whom I believe to be one of the managers. Kelly never even called me back each time I stopped by to try and fix my order. Shaun called me once and when I went in I had to deal with Kelly and you get the idea. Point being, go somewhere else if you want blinds. Everyone has sales the same time of the year. Worst customer service ever. Bryan, the "front end manager" is one of the most condescending people I've ever come across. In fact, he's down right aggressive. However, I shouldn't feel special because he treated a two other customers poorly at the same time. This is our 2nd run in with this guy.l We waited in line for glass cutting for 30 minutes and there was a couple ahead of us who waited for 20 minutes before we even arrived, even though the overhead speaker announced repeatedly "customer service needed in glass cutting." I went to customer service and Bryan happened to walk past me, saying. "What do you want?" I said "There are people waiting for glass cutting and that's what I need as well." I had ordered an extended warranty for the first generator, but when I returned the generator, I could not get my money back for the warranty. I sent an email to the store and tried to contact the store to talk with the store's manager...Mr. Breen and went to the store in Arlington 3 times to talk with him, but never was able to talk with him. After a couple of more emails, I then contacted a person known as Mr. Brandon... he made a written email that said he would take care. After two weeks, I went I tried to contact Brandon again...no response. I then went with the VP of Lowe's HQ...so then I went to the president of Lowe's...No response from Marvin Ellison is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Lowe's Companies Inc. He is as worthless as the other's of Lowe's. I will not shop at any Lowe's stores. Funny how a $109 warranty could not be returned with a check or gift card. I came to the hardware store to look at plants. I decided to go inside and take a look at the seasonal fall section as well. I'm a 25 year-old female with a college degree, fully capable of navigating my way through a hardware store after doing a years worth of home improvements during covid. I was approached by a middle-aged male employee upon entering from the outside garden section. He asked me if he could help me find something, to which I replied no thank you. He then proceeded to continue following me, laughing at me, saying "are you sure- that's not what your parents said". I then asked him why he'd assume I was there with my parents. He replied with "are you SURE you don't need any help?" To which I said "once again, no thank you, I know where I'm going." I then proceeded to find what I was looking for, and headed back out to the garden section where my car was parked. He was hovering around that exit and noticed me as I was approaching the doors to leave. Once again, he approached me, laughing, and snidely asked me if I was lost and if I was sure he couldn't help me find what I was looking for. I looked at him, and said "actually I'm just leaving, but I have to ask, do I look like I'm incompetent to you or something?" He just started laughing at me, still in my way, so I went around him and promptly left the store. Being harassed by a much older man is not only inappropriate in any setting, but especially as an on-the-clock employee is absolutely unacceptable. Young women, and women in general, are fully capable of doing home improvements and knowing their way around a hardware store. I do not appreciate being patronized, flirted with, and frankly, harassed by male employees, especially ones old enough to be my parent or older. The staff regularly are on another mission like break schedules and who's next or restocking such that customers are not part of the focus. Probably management-driven. Different planet mentality. 3 out 5 items bought here don't work or have been emptied by a previous customer and returned. Then the same item is placed back on the shelf. This is a monumental waste of time for the customer. I now go the extra distance to Home Depot. In the end, I waste less time. Much less time. So it seems that Lowe's staff bookshelf has "How to Ignore Customers with Flair 101" and "How to Effectively waste Customers Time 101." I recently discovered the woes of owning a front loader washer. Due to my need to get a new washer I looked up reviews, videos, required owner maintenance, and features I wanted from my new washer. Due to the lowest prices, most availability for pick up and general trust in Lowes I decided to shop with their store. I went in and was greeted by Brian, who was very easy going, friendly, and was interested in my opinion and needs as a customer. I asked Brian a few questions and let him know key features I felt were important. Then an older gentlemen who did not introduce himself, and was standing weirdly in our bubble came added in to our conversation. He told me that no top load washer could wash bedding, and also that no top loader would have a self cleaning feature. He was adamant I only get a washer that he suggested, to which he only suggested one, and when I explained why I did not want another front loader he acted if I was making such a terrible choice. He then continued to tell me the washer that I had researched and provided a home made chart with information from Lowes own website never had a cleaning cycle, when i told him that it did, he then told me that was not a feature any washer would have except the one he wanted me to buy, Brian who was the person I had initially been making way with chimed in and acquired the owners manual for the specific machine I liked and it did have the feature I said, along with instructions to wash bedding, that this other associate told me could not be done. The older man then just immediately left. I felt like he was extremely pushy, rude, and unprofessional. I am shopping for a washer, and he gave such blatantly wrong information to try and force me to only buy what he wanted to sell. That is predatory behavior, manipulative, and not the attitude of some who should work in sales. Providing false claims about the products to up sell another product is not only wrong, but something I would not want to be known for. This older man was explained to me by a different employee as a leader in that sales department, and while we were making our purchase and discussing warranties and new hoses, I saw this older man talking to elderly women, and elderly couples. I felt bad that he was who they would have to work with because he was SO blatantly uninformed about the products he was pushing, and obviously had no knowledge of features and tried to completely down any top loader in the store. I would not even want this man selling anything for me, as he is extremely biased and would only try and sell what was in his best interest to sell, and doesn't care what lies or misinformation he spreads to get him there. I hope that the Smokey Point Lowes seriously investigates this man, and re evaluates his leadership role in the appliance dept. He clearly has no desire to help customers, and only wants to get the customer to buy whatever he wants them too. I would not recommend anyone go to this location without knowing and researching appliances for them selves, and I would seriously reconsider making a purchase without fact checking what their sales team says is true. Brian was fantastic, willing to go the extra mile, wanted to listen to my needs as a customer, and knew about the appliances he was selling. I did make a purchase and i love the washer Brian and I worked towards that fit all my needs. I would consider him to be a much better role model and teacher for anyone coming into the sales and appliance department. Predatory and misinformation may a tactic used to intimidate people in the past, but it is no longer acceptable. I hope that Lowes agrees with that and seeks to make changes within its appliance department to no longer allow that mindset and misinformation be in leader ship roles in their store. I was extremely disappointed to learn that is someone who was seen as a guide, teacher, and praised for being so good at sales. This Lowe's seems to have a better staff than other larger home improvement stores in the area i.e. Home Depot. The staff seem pretty knowledgeable, if you can find them. Also their nursery is very reasonably priced. It's significantly cheater than the near by Plant Farm in Smokey Point. read more
