Awful awful customer service UPSTAIRS !! If I were the owner I would be ashamed of how my staff was treating a customer! I have regularly spent $400+/a visit, and tonight was treated like I was a huge pain in the ass! This is my first ever yelp review. I just couldn't let this slip by without note. It is despicable how the upstairs staff was behaving. Please note, I am not referring to the staff downstairs. They were helpful and courteous. I would describe my experience tonight as downright hostile! I left feeling like I was just punched in the gut. I hope the gals in the upstairs clothing area take a minute and think about how they would like to be treated when they are the customer. Shameful. Embarrassing. I was lucky they had a machine available on such short notice but more surprised when they said they could get me one within the hour. They delivered a very a new looking machine in under an hour. That is the type of customer service you get when dealing with a local independent business. I know this from 43 years of being in the rental business with a independent company in Bellevue competing with Sunbelt, Herc and United. We stood our ground despite being the little guy with our customer service. Save yourself the hassle dealing with the " big boys " and patronize a company that appreciates your business. I have always been impressed with the variety of materials at this little store, especially when it comes to the most critical items for island residents (eg: stainless street bolts/screws/cabling hardware, etc.), but structural hangers? Yep! Once again variety rivaling the huge box stores. (Actually way, way better stainless inventory.) This time I had the good luck of being helped by Richard. He knew right where everything was, how to use it and stayed with me until I had my complete shopping list. He understands his business and someone there (is it also Richard?) does an amazing job of straightening out the inventory that customers put back in the wrong place. His help was especially appreciated because he caught a mislabeled box of stainless screws that I didn't catch. It would have ruined my whole day if I'd gone home with the wrong thing. They have Stihl and Husqvarna equipment, Weber products and many others. Prices are competitive from what I have seen at other stores. I know the BGE charcoal is a couple bucks higher but the convenience of being so close makes that a non issue. The employees are knowledgeable even though they are mostly younger. Their enthusiasm is high and they will help you out. I usually know what I need but since I'm a "Northwest Man" (via California) I usually gravitate toward the chainsaw section. I know. I can't help it though. Since I have a perfectly operating saw at home that keeps me from buying another but a guy can't have too many chainsaws right? Until that grand day arrives I will mostly stick to buying my BGE supplies. They sell the actual BGE ceramic cookers too. Prominently displayed as well. Purchased on line this time FOR PICK UP. I get there and they bring me out the same damn door as the first one. Oh no, we measured and showed them it was not 80 inches. Got no help, but a cancelation of the door. Went immediately to home depot, got knowledgeable worker and much care and got the door measured in front of me to make sure. I was so pleased. My new store. As I will never shop at Lowe's again. Ps. When we asked lowes to measure the 2nd door, no one had a tape measure. Really????what a joke.

I shop for duck, wild bird, cat and dog food and they always have a large selection and my preferred brands. I also enjoy looking at all the seasonal items and have made a fair share of impulse buys. If you are a frequent shopper they have a rewards program and I have received several bonuses using it which is a nice kickback. My pup would like to add that she loves it when the cashier gives her a treat.
