Covid or not, we got horrible customer service from Lowe's! Ordered a refrigerator on 4-7 and was told several different delivery dates. On 5-1 we got a call that is was to be delivered that day. It never came so we went in and got our money back. Getting ahold of them by phone over the whole month was challenging at best and impossible at worst. I vow to never try to buy an appliance from a place that sells nails! Went to Arvada Appliance on 5-2 and my new fridge was humming in my kitchen on 5-6! I really wanted to like this store, but my experience (or may lack of one) was a disappointment. I have used this particular Lowes for years but it seems to have declined over past several years. We were in need of a major appliance, and after doing multiple reviews of appliances as well as the big box stores we decided to use Lowes as they seemed to offer the best price,haulaway, and delivery schedule based on their advertisements. We looked around the appliance area which was deserted other than two employees. One was on the phone (I think he was on hold) while conversing with the other employee. I don't know if she worked in that department or not. The conversation continued between the two for approaching 10 minutes. We wandered up and down three of the aisles looking at various washers and were never approached to see if someone could help us. Even a simple we'll be with you in a moment would have sufficed. We ultimately walked away and went to another Lowes where we found the item we wanted but found that delivery was not available before August. We found same item at BestBuy for same price as Lowes 'sale price' and opted to make the purchase there due to better customer service and better delivery options read more

One star since I cannot give zero stars or negative stars. I placed an order online. The website indicated that the Arvada store had 3 units in stock. I ordered and paid online. When I arrived at the store the following day to pick up, the associate I spoke to said that the order had not been pulled yet and that we could go pull it ourselves and just purchase it and cancel the order. I asked her about the logic of that... if I order something online and pay for it at other stores, it is held for me and no one else could purchase it. Here, if I could go pull it myself, that means that it is still on the shelf for others to purchase. She said that just because it says online doesn't necessarily mean they have that many in stock. She seemed quite disinterested and merely shrugged her shoulders. I walked back to the tile section and looked for the items that I needed. An associate in that department assisted me. She looked up the item and said that they showed that they had 3 in stock, but we could not find them. She said that she couldn't explain why their inventory showed 3 but they had none, but that this was often the case. As I approached customer service to cancel my order, a third associate asked me what I needed. I explained the situation, again saying that online indicated 3 in stock... looked at me as if I was insane and chuckled... "ha ha that doesn't mean anything" So three store associates indicated that I was unreasonable to assume that the store actually had the amount of stock that the website said they had. They also were rude and acted put out to have to assist. I asked to cancel the order and the associated said she didn't know how to do that and would leave a note for someone who did. To dated I have not received any correspondence from Lowe's indicating that the order was cancelled. I have gotten other correspondence, such as advertisements and this email asking "how we did." All in all this is a ludicrous way to do business. It makes no sense to have online sales if a customer can't be confident that they will actually be able to get what they ordered. Horrible customer service. I will NEVER shop Lowe's again. I know that this means nothing to Lowe's since they have other customers, but I will do my best to discourage anyone I know from shopping there as well. read more

This Lowe's is staffed with the most clueless and inept people Colorado can find. My saga with this Lowe's was the biggest slap in the face and an absolute disgrace. Honestly, I do not know how they have managed to stay open, given that their general manger Brandon doesn't know up from down and his staff are even less competent. I bought an appliance suite in May and was told that everything, except the fridge was in stock. The fridge, I was shown an inventory screen that had the fridge ready to ship from Dearborn, MI and was given a firm delivery date. The day before my fridge was scheduled to arrive, I still hadn't been given a delivery window, so I called to see what was going on. They looked in their system and said that they didn't have any fridge for me, even though I had paid for and had a charge on my credit card for a fridge. What Brandon told me is that Whirlpool didn't have the parts needed to finish production on the fridge (which was a lie I would hear for the next 3 months, while I waited for my fridge to arrive). What really happened is that they sold my fridge to someone else and because it isn't a common sized fridge, I had to wait for them to produce another one. When my fridge finally arrived 3 months after I ordered it, the delivery guys from Lowe's were rude. Then there was the issue with the microwave. I was told when it was delivered that they would call me the next day to have someone install it (why they didn't just install it when it was delivered is a mystery). The first person that they sent to install it had no clue what he was doing and ripped the front of my cabinet off from the rest of the cabinets and installed the microwave incorrectly. The guy that they sent to fix it showed up 45 minutes late and didn't have the proper tools, so needed to reschedule. The time that he said he could come back, I had other plans. His reply? "Well, I'm not here to accommodate your schedule." No, clearly you are not, seeing as you showed up 45 minutes late. The second time, he is again 45 minutes late, but I had a meeting to get to, so I told him we need to reschedule. When he finally comes, he puts 6 dents in my microwave and didn't even complete the repair job to the cabinet. Save yourself the trouble and go to Home Depot. No discount is worth this level of stupidity. read more

This Lowe's needs better management who truly understand the concept of customer service. They do have some good employees in certain departments but overall experience with the delivery(lack of service) has been real bad. Almost 3 weeks late on appliance(s) delivery and they have yet to be delivered. Called store and talked to delivery or service or whatever they call this manager and she had NO Clue why they had not been delivered. If you are responsible for a certain department you would think you would know how it operated. Purchase is made, delivery is scheduled and delivery is made on date scheduled....pretty simple. If you have NO CLUE why items weren't delivered ummm you might want review your job description and title to better understand your position. read more

I used to spend a few hundred bucks here every weeks on home improvement projects. Within the past two months something has happened with customer service that is super disappointing. All of a sudden no one who works at this store knows where anything is and most everyone wants to make sure you are having just as bad of a day as you are. My last visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. I asked Brian (who appeared to work in lumber) if he could make some cuts for me so I could get a 4x8 of particle board into my car. He grumbled and was very annoyed saying (in a very sarcastic tone) that I should buy a circular saw because he was too busy to help. Yikes. Usually I don't mind Lowes. This location however is pretty depressing. It was so empty I don't know how they stay in business. I was going to get. A paint sample and the older gentleman at the paint counter was competent enough. . . Just wasn't fully aware that you can type in a color on the computer from a different brand than the ones they sell to make a sample of it. Then in the lighting department I tried to get help but went for aisles without finding a sole. I'd much prefer to go to home Depot right across the street. I specifically got a Yelp account to write my first review specifically because of how frustrated I was with this specific store and the company as a whole. I ordered a washer a dryer unit from them and made a delivery time for them to come out (3 weeks out as I was moving into a new house) The day before they were suppose to deliver I received a phone call saying they would now be delivering the machines 2 days later. They had 3 weeks to let me know that they were back ordered but instead waited until the day before when I had already made arrangements so I could be home. Then I had the machines for 2 weeks when the washer stopped working. I called customer care where they informed me they didn't have any information for me. I apparently was not in the system. After 2 hours of being on the phone they found my account only to tell me Samsung would need to replace the machine as the warranty was under them. While this was happening I also purchased some blinds. The woman working in that section of yr store was completely incompetent. I had someone come measure for the blinds (which took several days after I purchased this) then to go in the store and get told they couldn't cut the blinds then and that I would have to pay for the blinds and come back when they were cut. When I came back my blinds (THAT I BOUGHT) were laying out where anyone could grab them as they were marked as already being purchases. No one working at the store was anywhere to be found. I finally went up front and requested someone come help me ASAP. The woman who did informed me she had never been trained in this department. It took her calling over 3 other employees to finally get my information pulled up and a print out to pay for installation....which I would have to wait 48 hours after purchasing for someone to call me to set up a time to come out and install the blinds.... I can't believe the experience I had at this place... Home Depot over this location for sure! I went in to get a lock that I bought there re-keyed... I was in good hands I thought when I was dealing with the manager... NOT - This jerk had no intentions to help me out... He told me the lock couldnt be re-keyed there... Without looking at it too hard said that it wasn't purchased there...When another employee came around the corner I asked him and was not shocked when he said yeah we can do it and then you could feel the tension between him and MR MANAGER who lied and was not one bit helpful! I purchased lumber for delivery. I confirmed that it would be delivered on Monday which was my day off. After sitting around most of the day waiting for it I called to get a status and I was told that they decided to move it to Tuesday. It is 100% horrible customer service to move my delivery and never let me know. I am pissed off at the lack of communication, and I am pissed off at your inability to fulfill my request. If you are not able to deliver it on a specified day then you should not accept purchases for that day. Several years ago I had a horrible experience at Home Depot and ever since I have driven past Home Depot to get to Lowes. I go to this store alot for both work and home needs. They seem to have more in stock than other Lowes locations so I normally will just skip the Westminster and Superior stores. It is also conveniently located between work and home. Horrible customer service. I was looking for clear plastic tubing. There were two options. One in a roll the other "pre" packaged coiled up. A guy comes up and asks do you want it cut? I asked the guy ( tall skinny with glasses) what was the difference since the pre packaged item was three times the price. All he could say was what a deal it was. (Twice) I showed him the math. All he could say was so you want it cut or what!? I said i need to calculate how much I need. He turned his back and stormed off. What a jerk!!! I had other things to buy but I left the store. If you need to go in, get stuff they have on the shelves, and walk out with everything you need, Lowes is fine. If you have to have anything installed through a subcontractor, expect a disaster. My wife and I ordered new granite countertops from Lowes. After going through everything, we came out with a price, and were told we'd need to schedule an appointment with the secondary stone company to get laser measurements and then we'd "square up" on any pricing discrepancy. Here's the bullshit. I called Lowes three times over three days (they were supposed to have this in their system and call us within 24 hours) and finally got my account "squared up". What they DON'T tell you is that you have to pay to have your countertops removed and your cabinets prepped for new countertops. This is not included in their price at all. This was not discussed, warned, or by any possible means explained. We were then told that to square up, we'd need to balance out $400 for removal and disposal of our countertops. $400. We have 48sq/ft of countertops. I have no idea why we would need to pay BMW service technician prices for these to be removed. I had the same problems with Home Depot as well. Lesson here to take home: If you need a thing contracted, go directly to the place that will do everything. Oh, the company they use for their stone contracting has a 2 star rating on Yelp and doesn't have a website or voicemail set up. Never again. read more

Ordered carpet for my kids rooms after a home purchase/remodel. The first order came in on time but was significantly less than what was measured. I shared my frustration and I was told "that is why we gave you a discount". I didn't ask for a discount, I asked for carpet. Frustrating, but people make mistakes so we reordered the carpet that took twice as long to receive. Completely wrong carpet!!! Here we wait again for my kids to be able to use their rooms after a move and starting back to school in the world in which we live. In addition, I ordered a new vanity, faucet and mirror. I received a notification that everything came in. However, no one could find the mirror. The person at the counter said this is a dysfunctional store and cancelled the order. No doubt. I've always favored Lowe's. However, this has changed my perception. I'm tapping out. So frustrated. They can't seem to get it together. read more

Worst store ever. ARVADA, CO store....DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Here is your warning!!! They sell you a whole kitchen of appliances and call you on delivery date and tell you they can't deliver to you? I was told delivery was no problem and that everything was good. So now, we have removed all kitchen home appliances for our delivery today and then I get this call, this morning, day of delivery, that they can't deliver that I am a few miles out of the delivery area and their delivery people wont do it. They have had my delivery info since we ordered. I confirmed with them my delivery date several weeks and days ago, they also have had my money all this time, the appliances are paid for (their policy) and there only answer is, to cancel my order? I had great prices from the Red, White and Blue Sale, why advertise sale prices if you can not get them? THIS IS FRAUD. The Mangers will not even pick up the phone to speak with you. This Lowe's is the worst. Negative stars would be more appropriate. I've tried shopping here so I have an alternative to the Home Depot across the street. This Lowe's is pretty empty for a reason. I have had problem after problem over the last couple of months. One weekday evening, I went to get some paint and had to wait 40 minutes just get someone in the paint department. Another time, I was looking for a product their website said was in stock in a certain bay and aisle. It wasn't there, and there was no label for it. I ended up finding it an aisle over, but the shelf was empty. I couldn't find anyone in the store to help see if it was in one of the boxes up above the aisle. I had to order it online for store pickup, but it took two days for that to be ready even though it was supposedly in stock in the store. I also placed an online order for another item, which took 1.5 months. I received an email saying it was ready for pickup, but when I got to the store, they had cancelled it and sent it back. It took me three days to get to the store and they canceled it when it took that long to get there. They were going to reorder it, but I was so fed up, I went to a different company that carried it. read more

i ordered a refrigerator on line. i received an email scheduling delivery for 04/28/20 between 8am and 8pm. i called the store at 6:40 to verify it was being delivered as they closed at 7. it took several calls to even get answered by their service desk. Over four calls later i was transferred to numbers that were not answered or they disconnected me. shortly after 7 a night crew member did answer and told me my order wasn't even in the store. needles to say her message for someone to call me in the morning went unanswered. between the 11 calls the next day, mostly unanswered, two people (one claiming to be a manager) told me that they would check my order and call me back. i never got the call and cannot get anyone to answer their phone to cancel the order. even if they do have it i will not accept it due to their total lack of customer service. pandemic or not if you are telling a customer you will call them back, do it or lose their business. read more

This morning around 10 a.m. I waited in the check out line for about 5 minutes until it was my turn. There was no-one behind me. When I got up to the register, the cashier turned off her light and said she was going on break and I needed to go to a different register. She gave me a pretty serious look, so I didn't even ask her to quickly check me out with my 3 items. She was an older thin gray haired lady, but she ran off so fast, I didn't catch her name. I then waited in another line where Jeremy was the cashier. I told him what had happened and he gave me a blank stare. So I said -- "well that doesn't sound right, does it?" He said "nope."....... "Hello" and "nope" were the only 2 words he uttered during the transaction. Sadly, Lowe's does not have a self-checkout, so it's difficult to avoid contact with these unfriendly cashiers. Since it was under warranty, I called their service department for assistance. I took a day off work to meet with their repair technician - he never showed. I went to the store to ask for assistance. The manager actually laughed - glad he thinks its funny. After seeing my frustration, he called the A 1 FActory Service center and rescheduled it. We purchased a door and paid for it as well as paying for their contractor person to put it in - took two weeks before the installer person called to set up an appointment for 12/22. Then on 12/21 they call and say the guy hurt his back and he can't come. What gives...is he the only person in the world to put in a door? They want us to wait till mid January now. What do they care they have our money. How about Lowe's pay another person to work after hours for overtime so we can get our door before Xmas. Or push someone else back a day so we can get ours done - let's do it first come first serve. My husband was on the phone several times with someone yesterday saying this was not acceptable to us - supposedly they were going to call us this morning by 7 to see if they could get it done. As of 7:28 this morning still no word. Our big issue is also that I scheduled time off to be there during the time frame given that they would be there - during the holidays it is not easy to get time off or change and rearrange time when other people have their vacation time scheduled. Do the math! 1) you sign up for a credit card and make $1500 worth of purchases, 2) you immediately write a check for $1499, ONE dollar short of your full balance, and 3) you still owe hundreds if not thousands of dollars in the months and years to come based on 24.99 percent, compounded daily, interest based on your FULL original purchase. Sorry, but Home Depot does the SAME THING. I never fell for this scam. Lowes and Synchrony just sent a new deceptive mailing in an attempt to suck consumers into their rip off of many years. My wife tried to get an appointment for a hot water heater install. They told her they would call back with a date. Well they never called back so she called and set up another appointment again no call back. I actually went to the store and paid 35 dollars for a guy to come out and look at our house. They told me they would call me in 2 days with details. Well 4 days later I call and call and no one is in the department. I call today and I was put on hold for like 25 minutes. Apparently they outsource this so they told me that, that company has been calling me multiple times. It's a lie I keep my phone beside me at all times I've been waiting and waiting for this call. Than they wanted me to call this company they outsource to. I asked why did I even pay you guys or even call you guys when some other company does everything why didn't I just call this company?
