DO NOT PURCHASE any appliance that requires delivery from LOWES -- EVER! We ordered an LG refrigerator on July 4 that the website for the LOWES near our home said was in stock and could get it delivered two days later. Which was essential because our refrigerator was slowing dying. They sent an email on Wednesday and said it couldn't be delivered for another week at least. So after several attempts to call the Lowes with either endless ringing or someone answering and then hanging up after requesting to speak to a manager, my Stephen drove down there. They said he could by a Samsung refrigerator (which we really didn't want) but not from that store, but another one in Northglenn, 12 miles away. So he come home and called that store, because the Arvada LOWES said they couldn't call the other LOWES from there. When he called, the lady in the appliance department said she couldn't help him on the phone and that he would have to come in and make the purchase, but would have to wait until after 8:00PM because her dinner break was starting. So at 8:00 Steve drove to the Northglenn LOWES, made the 'exchange', but now they couldn't deliver it until Friday, today. That makes 6 days without refrigeration. They were supposed to send an email yesterday to let us know the delivery window for the refrigerator today. But we never received it. So this morning, my Stephen called the Northglenn LOWES and was told that due to the address our 'delivery zone' is in, our refrigerator now cannot be delivered until NEXT THURSDAY! That will be 11 days without refrigeration. The only reason we purchase either of these appliances is because of their faster delivery timeline. And they didn't bother to contact us about the change -- we had to contact them! ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Shouldn't the employees at any of these stores have known about this 'delivery zone' situation? I got here at 1230pm trying to arrange to purchase a vanity. I waited for 15 minutes for a plumbing associate that never showed to answer the questions we had as it relates to instillation charges. Ordered a refrigerator from the store. The purchase experience was fine, but when it came to the delivery a week later, they had no record of my purchase. After 30+ minutes of fiddling with the computer they figured out the error and said my refrigerator would be delivered in the afternoon, but a driver would call me shortly for a specific window. FIVE HOURS later I got a call from the driver saying he would be at my house in 10 minutes. Ten minutes to empty my refrigerator. Awesome. Then the water line mysteriously cracked. So here we are spending the evening trying to find a plumber to fix the water line. Lowe's sucks. read more

This is the closest lowes to our place down town, and it's near the costco we go to... We have gone and gotten amazing help, even suggesting a repair shop vs buying new. We have gone and had horrific service. Attempted to purchase an in wall oven. We have 3 options we were considering, hoping for an opinion or assistance in the matter. Alas, it was a 20 year old that really just wanted to be on break that we pulled the short straw, on a Friday before Christmas to have help us... We decided to go with a certain on, and started the process. I requested install and delivery and removal of our current - non-functioning, hence why i need a new oven - oven! What i got was, an oh from our helper and a sigh and humph from the other worker that knew how to set that up. Awesome sauce. As we are moving through the process, i am told to have it installed i need to have someone come measure. Really - an in wall oven? There are really 2 size holes builders make - one for Bocsche which is super tall and one for the rest... We had the rest... Ok, fine, we have to pre-pay for the measurement (crap i tell ya) - and get that back toward our purchase. Fine. Can we get the oven order going since it is a min of 10 days to get this thing. Nope. What? You can't just start the order and have it confirmed by the installer, measurer guy??? Nope. So we left, we were ready to drop 2500-3000 in a 15 minute sale, alas, they didn't get it. We have indeed had good service, our fridge we purchased there about 5 years ago, and before that i called when best buy messed up our washer and said, if you can deliver this exactly thing tomorrow it's yours, don't care the price. Call the store 3 hrs after making on online order . They stated they were understaffed but would have my order ready in less than on hour. Waited then drove 20+ minutes to the store and went to curbside pickup. They told me I had to go to customer service. Waited in line to be told they still had not processed the order. Waited some more and some more, went back up to counter "oh, let me check". Waited some more and some more "oh, we can't find your order" "we'll just cancel it". Do not order from this store. I had a guy named Steve Progar come to my home to give me a bid on a deck and several windows. This whole process took 2.5 hours! He sat at the table in my kitchen on his computer doing his work. Isn't that supposed to be done somewhere else? He gave me a quote for almost 20,000 for the deck?? The highest quote I've had was for 10,000, the lowest 6,000. It's a small deck. I decided on one window after negotiating. Well it's been over 5 weeks, and numerous emails. He said someone will come out and re-measure the window. That the person was trying to phone me and couldn't get through. He asked me for my phone number? I clarified it. Tells me for over a week the measure person can't get through. Well everyone else can get through. Two weeks go by? He asks me to call Kathy the window measure person myself, I leave her a message with my number. I inform her she can text too. Nothing. Then he suggests another person to measure. Nothing, Never hear from her. After exchanging emails with Steve, he claims he has my phone number wrong?? I have given him my number numerous times by now to both him and Kathy. If a person ir business is this disorganized how can he/she/Lowe's run a business? It's been over 5 weeks, numerous emails and phone calls and nothing. Maybe because they couldn't swindle me out of 20,000?? I encourage people to get numerous quotes, references, pictures, look at the neighbors decks. If I go to a coffee shop, I expect the barista to know their coffee. If I go to the mechanic, I expect him/her to provide advice. If I go to the doctor, I expect them to know what the heck is going on. That's why when I walk into a Lowe's, I expect them to provide me with basic knowledge on materials to hang a frame on a brick wall. Walking to the person of the screw aisle and getting the following response: "that's a good question, I don't know and I am the only one here" just does not cut it. Then walking to customer service desk and getting the same response pretty much means you have a mediocre service. I had never received such service in Home Depot!! After 15 phone calls with Samsung, and 5 current calls with lowes and 4 visits by technicians, my dishwasher still does not work. The websites lists hundreds, the stores have 2 on display. Ask for info, the sales people bring up the website. Want it installed, well before they'll even put the order in, you have to have someone come out and measure (tape measures tricky beasts, so many confusing numbers), adding on a few days to the already two weeks or more lead time (why keep ovens on hand, they last 10-30 years, until yours dies). I ordered a window unit air conditioner from Lowes.com. Lowes offered free home delivery within a week of my order. The delivery went flawlessly. Unfortunately when I got the instructions out I discovered that installing the unit would cause damage to the window frame which, as a renter, I could not do. So I was faced with trying to return this heavy thing in my not-big-enough car. When I contacted Lowe's customer service they happily agreed to come pick it back up (again for free) within that week. The pickup went as smoothly as the delivery. A few days later I got a call from the store manager making sure that everything was satisfactory with the pickup and verifying that there was nothing wrong with the unit. She was extremely pleasant and refunded my purchase price in full. I had braced myself for a fight, but it was shockingly painless. Very impressed with the service I received! read more

Don't buy cabinets here and have them installed. There's a chance you'll have Mark Smith with Hogan Construction as the Lowe's subcontractor for the installation work. His crew's expertise ranges from not knowing how to remove a sink basin, no call/no show, not repairing drywall before installing new cabinets, threatening the homeowner (in their own home) to write checks to third parties, performing with that needs to be redone by another contractor, scratching new flooring, ruining garbage disposals, being unresponsive to communication, and refusing to provide an invoice for services actually performed vs what was paid for before the start of work. Yes, this did all happen in the nearly 4 months it took to have the install finished. I'd like it to be known to Lowe's that Mark Smith has lost Lowe's all my, my family's friends, and many of our neighbors future business. If you do order cabinets and have them installed, do yourself a favor and refuse Mark and Hogan Construction as your installers. read more

Should you be lucky enough to find one, you likely won't be able to communicate with them, and if you do, they will nervously tell you to wait while they go looking for someone who might know more. I never find what I need at any of there stores so I have to go next door to their competitor with the big orange letters. For instance they're the only hardware store that I know of that doesn't sell electrical boxes. There's normally just one register open at a time. I prefer to go to small local hardware stores for sheer convenience, but I won't hesitate to go to a national chain store if I need things like lumber or appliances. My first visit to this Lowe's was a Saturday evening. Firstly, the entrance is strangely placed, and not off Wadsworth. I couldn't find what I needed nor anybody to help me. Items were mixed up in each others bins and pricing info was missing for some. Oh yeah, the roof was leaking all over so the floor had puddles and about 30 buckets to collect the drips. I tried this Lowe's twice more. Once on a Friday morning, and again on a Monday afternoon to no avail (groups of employees gossiping with each other, cashiers that stopped my checkout to discuss plans with friends, out of stock items, and employees with a grudge towards customers who ask for directions to tough to find items). Why did I wait so long to come here?! This Lowe's has an awesome and healthy selection of plants and flowers. Lots of eye candy if you enjoy perusing the flower aisles. My review is strictly for the garden area of the store. I had been looking for tomato stakes or cages for my growing dahlias and I found several options here. They have plant support stakes, varying sizes of tomato cages, and little fences that could be used as a creative option to support a plant. I appreciated all the different types of flower food, some unusual organic options are available as well. I was tempted to buy a bunch of lantanas since they looked so healthy and robust! Three different associates asked if I needed help with anything, which is in stark contrast to Home Depot, where you are left to fend for yourself, perhaps never seeing a single soul. read more

Granted the Covid virus has sent everyone into a tailspin, but to call me at 7am the morning of my delivery to tell me they could only drop it in my garage or on my porch was brutal. I accepted delivery and when I opened the box, found damage. I waited on hold for 45 minutes with the 800 number and finally decided to call the local store. I spent three hours being transferred to the wrong people, hung up on, left on hold indefinitely, promised call backs, and nothing ever happened. Not sure how much more time I will dedicate to this, but a little discount hardly seems worth the frustration. read more

I am going to give this location zero stars I went in to purchase a new dryer, and while I was there, I asked associate for assistance, and they directed me to the appliance department , where there was one boy working, and he was busy talking to what looked to be another associate of Lowe's and wasn't paying attention to the people there trying to purchase some thing. I needed to add a Hall away onto my order a few days later and called to add it onto my order and pay for it took me Sitting on hold for 30 minutes hung up three times. Had to call back three times with the recording system and when I finally got someone on the phone i asked if they were busy, they said no and then they put me on hold again and didn't come back for another 10 minutes so I had to hang up. I overshot HD and ended up at Lowe's, i know their customer service sucks but hey, I was in the parking lot. Waited for 20 mins to finally get help with some paint samples. Three employees were standing around the costumer service desk talking. They called someone to help. No one came, I asked them to call again. Still no one came. I saw one employees in an isle on his cellphone. Two walked past and I asked for help. They gave me wierd looks and mumbled something, I think they called again on radio and continued walking away very slowly. Management you would do better to hire one good employee for every two of your current employees and and pay them twice as much. The guy who I finally flagged down and convinced to help me said "I guess I can try". He was very nice, and it was apparently his first time mixing paint. The three customer service people never checked up and no one ever came from the radio call. Now I'll have to have HD match my paint once I decide on the color. No way I'll be back to Lowes I've worked in the costumer service field and am extremely sympathetic to a busy store but the laziness and not carrying of the employees here is the worst I've experienced, maybe ever. read more

I had a great experience at Lowe's yesterday. My boyfriend and I got a Charbroil grill. I was pretty impressed with the selection. There was a guy in the grill section (wiping them down) that was really handy if we had questions, while not being over-bearing. The older gentleman who checked us out was so friendly and knew exactly what he was doing. We left with a grill in the box but had to quickly return from the parking lot because there was no way it was fitting in our car. Worst customer service imaginable - two times in a row. Once trying to buy an appliance - the experience so bad we could not get out of there fast enough to get to Home Depot. Today - we bought vertical replacement vanes for our existing blinds...but I'll get to that in a minute. First, we wanted just ONE window well cover. Would not scan and the cashier could not find it by item number. They override it, but then the manager STOPS the transaction and insists the cashier try it another way...which was identical to the way the cashier already tried. Whole thing starts all over. The cashier asks if we want $10 off for our trouble, but to do so, we had to again wait for the manager - who took forever to come the first time. Seriously...probably 10 minutes at the register by this point. We say no - forget the discount, we'll just take the cover at the manager approved override price. Instead - the cashier removes the item entirely and we leave with no cover. Next, the blinds... We brought in a blind from those we were replacing so there would be no question about the length we needed. Came home...and they trimmed them 1/3 inch LONGER than the sample we brought in!!! Now, we either have to return them or cut 39 blinds by hand with scissors. Oh. My. God. Thank God Home Depot is right next door to this place! I'd give zero stars, if possible. read more

Delivered an order that had been paid in full today. Charged my card AGAIN for the same order and sent out a "purchase receipt," even though the orders were paid in full. I spent over an hour and called the store at least 20 times to get it fixed. At least three times I reached someone and was told I would be transferred to a manager. Each time I was either put on hold for over 10 minutes or disconnected after being on hold several minutes. When I got ahold of someone again at the end of the day (after multiple calls), I was told I had to call back again the next day because there was no manager available. I said that wasn't going to work because I had already spent over an hour trying to fix the issue, and wasn't going to start the whole process again the next day. The employee hung up on me. It's insane to double charge people and then refuse to fix it. These guys need to get it together. read more

I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before purchasing my washer and dryer as I would have gone to the Home Depot next store for Best Buy. DO NOT buy appliances from this location! Every single person I talk to has something different they are saying. The managers are incompetent -- they cannot figure out how to solve an issue. You cannot call the main desk and reach someone...I literally have to drive and go into the store almost every day to talk with someone live. I have wasted so many of my personal hours (I'm at 25 at this point, not including the entire day I stayed home from work waiting for a tech to show up and no one did or even call) just trying to get a dryer door swapped (which was requested at the time of purchase in store for delivery 2 weeks later). The washer I think was jarred upon delivery since it's making a thumping noise. And to make it worse, I had a 10% off coupon upon purchase which did not exclude appliances, which they didn't even take off the discount. That was the main reason I went there. Nope, I am sticking to Home Deport next door from here on out. I don't care if Home Depot doesn't have sales and coupons, my time and energy is worth that difference. read more

We just ordered a dish washer, after 2 weeks of waiting, the back end was smashed. Lowes reordered and it took 3 more weeks to come in. I purchased a washing machine online from Lowes in Arvada on 52nd. The website said the washing machine was in stock and available for delivery. I made the purchase and received an email stating that it would be delivered the next day between 10 am & 10 pm. The next day nothing was delivered and I did not receive any notification as to why. When I called customer service I was told the delivery was scheduled 4 weeks from the date of the order! I told them I couldn't wait a month and their response was, "Sorry". I then called the store manager to see if he could help me out and I received an identical response. Sorry, our internet person is out and there is nothing I can do. Never will I do business with Lowe's again either on-line or in person. I ordered - and paid - for a tub/shower in June. Kept getting emails it's arriving, but it never did. I called and got transferred and transferred and transferred. When I asked to speak to the manager, once again I got transferred, transferred, transferred, and then hung up on. I was finally told in August that my tub/shower was never going to arrive and that my account would be refunded, which it wasn't. I bought another tub/shower from them (my mistake). That tub/shower never arrived either. I wasted almost every Saturday this summer waiting for nothing. I had a call that the tub/shower that I bought in August was never going to arrive either, even though I had a text saying that it was going to be delivered. When I called to get my funds reimbursed to my credit card, I got the run around from customer service and finally was hung up on again. I finally talked to a Michael in customer service. It's been almost a week and I am still fuming about the treatment I received at this Lowe's. In needed of a large amount of paint at an average price, so I checked their website and headed over to the store. At 8:30pm I walked to the paint counter, pushed the button for help and waited. And waited. And waited. 10 Minutes later, I was approached by the cashier and was asked if I needed help. Since I had pushed the button to page someone, I didn't want to wander too far... In the meantime, 4 employees walked by, and as I tried to get their attention, they were too engaged in conversation to notice me. The cashier then offered to page someone. 5 more minutes went by, and someone finally showed up. "Can I help you?" "Yes, please." I had looked up a certain type of paint on the Lowe's website, had a description of the brand, the amount, and the price. The website had confirmed that there were 18 buckets of this paint in that location. I was told by this person that there was no such paint. ?!? Seriously? Just point blank - "There is no such paint." No offer to see if we can look it up. So she showed me some "alternatives" that were more expensive and definitely not the same stuff that I had found in my research. Not helpful in any stretch of the term! The final straw came when she asked me to "go home" and look it up, and bring back the printout. "You want me to 'go....and come back with a printout?'" I repeated it slower. "You want me to 'go.... ..... and come back?'" Unfortunately, her computers were down. I crossed the street to the "Orange Box" and their doors were still open at 1 minute till 9 (the same closing time as Lowe's), there was someone AT THE PAINT COUNTER, And she was smiling! She found the paint that I had been looking for at Lowe's BECAUSE HER COMPUTER WAS ON, AND SHE KNEW HOW TO USE IT. Three people (the paint expert, the cashier, and the manager) had to wait for me to get my paint mixed, pay for it and head out (at 9:15), but they all did it with smiles on, and I feel went the extra mile. Buyer beware!!! This morning I anticipated a call from delivery with a window of time, for my scheduled delivery of my appliances, so I wouldn't have to sit by my door for 8 hrs. waiting for a knock on the door. I must have called 10 times. You get transferred, no one answers, and then the phone hangs up. Tried talking to someone in appliances that was rude and unhelpful. She let me know that they had no way of contacting the delivery driver to find out. Which by the way, I know is not true. It is now 12:00, and my husband tries calling the Lowes store in Arvada (near I-70). They are rude, and have hung up on him 3 times. It's our day off, and we have no idea when they are coming, and this seems to be acceptable. We were waiting at 9 am. waiting now at 12:30 pm. Not sure if we are even on the schedule, or if we are, it might not be until this evening. We don't care what our window is, but if it wasn't until 3pm-on, it would have been very considerate of them to simply let us know. We will never purchase an appliance through them again.
