made an internet purchase for in store pick up. a chainsaw, $213.99. the money already debited my…read moreaccount and i go to pick up the chainsaw, they wont let me have it. mind you, it has already cleared my account, and the girl keeps telling me "there is a hold on your acct". um...im retired from bank of america, there is no "hold". it has already debited my acct. may i please have my chainsaw??? no. i show her my bank app where it debited. still no. listen there is no hold on my account. so she calls care team and i get the same response, so i said just reverse my payment. ill get a chainsaw at lowe's. i go home, and call ace cust care, who tells me it wasnt "my" bank who held, it was ace's cyber security who was skeptical and "held" the purchase. so then what is the point of an internet purchase i cant pick up? ace can debit for the purchase, and refund the purchase, but not sell you a chainsaw. i may as well have bought it in person. the staff here had no clue what they were saying, their terminology was incorrect, and had no sense of urgency or compassion for problem resolution. i will never go to this location again. save yourself a headache and just buy from a store who lets you leave with something you paid for.
