They had everything we needed whicH is the only reason I'm giving any stars at all. The THREE people behind the customer service counter completely ignored us, the only customers at the counter, for five full minutes even after I commented in needing some help and the guy cutting my blinds actually stood there arguing with me over the size if my windows before he cut the blinds, cut them the way he wanted only for us to get home and see that they didn't fit. We purchased a lawnmower in July of 2015 and used it for the remainder of the summer/fall, so approx. 3mo, before we put it away for the winter. The last week of January my husband pulled the mower out, put fresh gas, and new oil, like he does the first of each mowing season. Once my husband had done this he started the mower and it began surging. Of course he tried everything he knew to do including running the entire tank of gas just to see if he could change the way it was running. When he saw it was not helping he loaded the mower up and we took it to Lowes in Bastrop for warranty service. We dropped it off and was told we should get it back in one to two weeks. Since I have not enough room to tell the entire story I will paraphrase. They wanted to charge us 72.50 for warranty repair. A woman named Patty tried to tell me that she was the store manager and that we owed Lowes this money because they paid for the service that was fraudulent and that we would have to take it up with the repair shop . Once I called the main 800 44-LOWES number and was told by the CS Tina, that Patty was not the manager and could not make any decisions on this matter and that John was the manager and that I needed to ask Patty to get John. When I told Patty this information she became very hostile but agreed to get John. Patty came back and told me that John was busy and that he would be a little bit. I told this to Tina from corporate and she agreed to hold with me. Tina asked me to hold for her so she could review that documents. Once John came out of his office he stopped and shook hands with a man, smiled, laughed, carried on a conversation, walked on a little, stopped laughed and talked with a girl at a register, stopped along the way as if not a care in the world until he got to me. With a somber look and not looking directly at me he asked if I had a problem. I started to tell him and he asked who was on the phone. When I told him the lady from Lowes corp he told me to hang up because she could not help me. I told him I was on hold and she was looking at the documents. He told me she could not see any of the documents that the store has and to just hang up. I told him I would not hang up on her and I continued to wait. He told us he was going to "help us out" and that is all he said. He did a little messing with the register and then said he would get our lawn mower. We had been here at least 45 minutes and all he had to do was tell the lady posing as the manager how to handle the situation or do it himself. I told Tina how he was acting as we were waiting to speak to him. Tina informed me that I could still file a formal complaint due to how we were treated and the circumstances of this situation. So I have filed the former complaint and will NEVER STEP ANOTHER FOOT IN LOWES IN BASTROP. It is a shame that I could not spell out the details of this ordeal and that I could not leave less that 1 star or I would. We spend approx. 5000$ at Lowes every year so we will drive to a Lowes in Austin and be treated better read more

A tale of two Lowe's visits, in one day, to do the exact same thing at both stores: My mother lives in a town in East Tx where the Lowe's doesn't carry a certain tile that she wanted, so we looked here because I had recently purchased it. They had 13 in stock so she ordered them all and paid for it. That was yesterday. Today I went in to pick it up and after a HALF HOUR finally got the tile. Really? And the girl at the service desk was pretty surly and clearly pissed off over something. They literally acted as if no one has ever done a product pick up in that store ever. I know this isn't what Lowe's wants because after this debacle I went to another Lowe's where she'd also ordered the same tile at the same time. They had the order (and a larger order at that) ready to go and I was seriously in that store for less than a minute. Honestly this crap like this which gives small town stores a bad name. Lack of service, bad attitudes and just a general lack of knowledge or sophistication go really far in making a bad impression. I won't be going back to this Lowe's, which is a shame for them because I live in a fixer upper still in need of some purchases and I live close by. read more

For three years since the wildfires I have been coming here for materials etc, to rebuild my home. Never again. I've had it. Their customer service is horrible: a bunch of high school kids who know nothing about the products they sell, or disgruntled older people who should really be retired by now, but are stuck working for minimum wage under incompetent management. Their return policies are ridiculous (really? I am supposed to find all the pieces of this defective warped paneling that is already cut up and bring it in to the store to get a refund? A picture is not enough? It got trashed when I had to tear it all out! You've got my receipt!) Anyway, it's always amateur hour at Lowe's, so don't waste your time or money. read more

My husband and I went it there on a Sunday to get some idea on the Kitchen Cabinet and Counter Top. This Gentleman Charley came to greet us immediately. He is very helpful and knowledgeable and very friendly and pleasant to talk to. I wish there are more employee like Charley. We went to Home Depot earlier and could not find anyone to help us. This is a standard Lowe's. They have a wide range of home repair, construction, and home improvement products. The staff knowledge is hit or miss. I've not had a bad experience with any of the employees, but I have had to ask the same question of three or four of them before getting a useful answer. So once again, we figure on giving Lowe's a chance to redeem themselves and purchase a refrigerator for delivery. Were told not in stock and would be 3 weeks. Received a voicemail after 3 weeks and were told it was in the store for pickup! I called the next day and delivery was set up for the 22nd. Received another call stating the 22nd was full would the 23rd be acceptable. We agreed and were told it would be in the afternoon. This is what I stated on their Facebook page: So you call and set up delivery for Wed. the 23rd in the afternoon and we rearrange our schedule. Called this evening when we heard nothing and were told delivery is on hold to be delivered on the 30th with something else!!! We have nothing else to be delivered! Who in the hell dropped the ball this time! Customer service is non existent anymore! Now Lowe's is added to Best Buy and Home Depot as businesses we are through with! read more

This store has great customer service. Every time we shop here the employees take great care of us. Just the other day they gave me pieces off of a display unit for free. Saved me $40 because the manufacturer does not sell pieces only whole parts. Keep up the customer service and I will keep shopping. read more

The most inefficient and poorly run Lowes I have ever seen. Ordered some kitchen cabinets in November and Allen in Kitchen Cabinets did a good job helping me design my kitchen and get them ordered. But everything went downhill after that. After calling weeks after to check on my order, I found out the cabinets I ordered in November have been here since December 4. It is December 30! I never received a call or notice regarding delivery. After a dozen phone calls where I was transferred to nowhere, hung up on, and on, I finally reached a manager. She told me I would receive a call regarding when they would be delivered. I never received any call. After every call and being hung up on, they apologize for their 'phone system' and that is is "now fixed". Bull! After I get my cabinets here and delivered, I will never step foot in that store again. Not even for a light bulb! read more

Our kitchen demo was two months ago and it still isn't finished. The guys come and go on a whim. They arrive unannounced and don't show when they say they will. Drawers were damaged when they were installing them and had to be reordered. They've been sitting in my garage for over a week. They showed up unexpectedly last Mon and put about a quarter of the backsplash up then left without letting me know they were leaving or when they might be returning to finish it. The Bastrop Lowe's is the most helpful friendly store in central Texas. As soon as you walk in, there are employees that are genuinely wanting to assist with your needs and the best part is they actually know what they are doing, which says a lot for the training they must get. Even when the rare occasion happens, they are quick to contact someone in the store that can answer your questions and find what you need, even if it means getting on-line to find your product. I have never walked out of that store not getting what I wanted. The manager Trent Overstreet really goes beyond the call of duty to assure everything is perfect in your home remodeling world. There is no store that I spend more money in then the Bastrop Lowe's store because of the service and vast high quality products. read more

I had these folks custom cut several blinds for my new home. Had to return them all due to being to narrow. Bought pre-sized blinds and managed to get them to work, but they weren't the greatest I could have gotten. Went back again recently and bought 3 more custom cut blinds. They fit perfectly and are much better than the pre-sized ones in fit and quality! Everyone I dealt with at this store has been very helpful and patient. Purchased a refrigerator brand new from the showroom and was delivered a busted, scratched and dented fridge instead. Was ran through the gauntlet of call forwarding till I finally spoke with someone who told me they didnt even have a new one in stock and had to order one which took over a month to finally get to the store. Also was told 20 percent would be refunded due to all inconvenience in the matter but that was never received and upon calling about the 20 percent was treated and talked to like a liar by Ashley G. Then when the store manager (John O.) was notified of this there was no rectification on the issue and provided 0 assistance. Clearly customer service is non existent, not taught and not a priority of Lowes. Full refund was issued and informed them get their trash out of my home. Lowes not only lost $1300 but my family's future business and friend's after I shared this story. Go across the street to Home Depot! read more

My daughter was browsing the patio furniture sale today and a nice gentleman said that they were marking down a lot of things and to let him know if she wanted something at a lower price and he would see what he could do. She found a bistro set that was in a box for $78, but there were no pictures, so she googled it to see what the set looked like. The set came up for $48 on Lowe's web site. She also found matching pillows at half of the marked price. She inquired with the gentleman about this and he said to just show the person at check out and the price would be adjusted. The nice cashier asked a manager for permission to match the online price, and the manager would not do it, pointing out that this was a different location's price. She said they would be happy to match Walmart or literally any other store's price, but they wouldn't match a price that came up on their own site. My daughter didn't even realize that the site misread her location, but that doesn't even matter. Why price match everyone except Lowe's?? And the employee had already said they were lowering prices "as if they were used car salesmen" on patio furniture. I'm very disappointed for her, as she was just trying to do a good deed for a friend, but left empty handed because she couldn't justify spending almost twice as much than the advertised price. read more

We just left the Lowe's in Bastrop. My husband and I went in to purchase lumber for the bed of a 16 foot trailer. We looked around for someone to help since we are 60 something each now and what we was buying was gonna be heavy, but there was no employees to be seen. My husband wanted to just get the boards and get on the road. 2x12x16 are very heavy and I was unable to help him. After loading 7 of 10 boards he needed 2 men came by one one fork lift one escorting for safety I am assuming neither seem interested in offering a hand. They proceeded by while my husband was wrestling with a 16 foot long board. They deposited their 10 4x4 and came back by and I mentioned their lack of interest in their senior customers. Their response we are the only two here. We checked out and I asked for their managers name from cashier. We also added we would appreciate help loading these on our truck. The employee who came to help was name Kim. A sweet older lady with salt and pepper hair. I walked back in for another item and seen the two men who had ignored our struggles ealier. Apparently it takes two to push a empty cart. read more

Generally customer service sucks at home improvement stores as the employees don't know much about specialty items. I worked at one in high school as a loader and saw first hand how screwed up the employees are there. That being said, for the Manor-Elgin-Bastrop triangle, Lowe's beats out Home Depot. Always check the smaller guys as sometimes their prices on some items smoke the big boys. This is your typical big home improvement store. read more

I am incredibly disappointed with the customer service and lack of knowledge the sales staff has at the Bastrop Lowe's. We had our home damaged in the Bastrop Complex fire and decided to go through Lowe's for the repair supplies we needed. Our first purchase was insulation and we were oversold by 45 bags - obviously that is quite signifcant. The pick up of the insulation required a trailer - we should have been offered free delivery with an order that size, but alas we were not. We also purchased 700 sq. ft of flooring ordered on the same day that nobody could find. How do you lose 700 sq. ft of flooring?? As we only had the trailer for one day I had to request that the flooring be delivered - another thing that should have been offered since the fact that they couldn't find our order was in no way our fault. Then after all of this, the delivery of our floor was rescheduled 3 times. UNBELIEVEABLE - and the with the exception of one lady I talked with, nobody seemed to be concerned about this at all. After this experience, I will never use Lowe's again - Home Depot or McCoy's for the Garcia family from here on out. read more

My sister blessed my family and myself with a NEW washer and dryer that she purchased from Lowe's in 2015. I have 4 children and knowing that I would use the washer and dryer a lot she also purchased an extended warranty. December of 2017 my dryer was no longer drying my clothes. I contacted Lowe's in JANUARY 2018 to find out what my options were with having an extended warranty. Lowe's informed me that my dryer was still covered. This was very exciting news for me. Lowes gave the information that i needed to start the process on getting my dryer fixed. The company that I would be dealing with is A&E appliance out of Austin. I contacted A&E Appliance on January 9, 2018. The first appointment that I was able to secure was January 23, 2018 between 8am - 12pm. The appointment CAME and WENT. No one showed to look at my dryer. I called them once again and to my amazement I was informed that I didn't have an appointment and that they would have to make another appointment. I then made a second appointment doubled checking to make sure that they had all of my information. They assured me that they had everything they needed. The second appointment was then made for February 5, 2018 between 8am - 12pm. ONCE AGAIN THE APPOINTMENT WAS NOT KEPT AND NO ONE SHOWED TO LOOK AT MY DRYER. I have rescheduled 4 times with the same results my dryer is still NOT fixed. Today, May 4, 2018, 5 months later I still have a non working dryer. Lowe's Corporate Office called me today. The gentlemen informed me that he only had had my paperwork on his desk for 30 seconds. I began to explain to him my issue. He interrupted me several times telling me to be quite. HE was very RUDE!!! Calming down I decided to listen to my options. He said that they would give me an in store credit. Questioning the amount that would be credited he said that of course it would be at the same value that they were purchased at 2 1/2 years ago. I clearly informed him that that would not be acceptable. I would not be out any monetary funds what else could we do to resolve this issue. He then told me that he could not help me and hung up on me. What the HECK! This is one customer that will not be hung up on without a FIGHT. VERY DISSAPPOINTED! Went to Lowe's yesterday (11/20/15) to purchase a Christmas Tree as they were having an "early" Black Friday sale. Decided on the tree we wanted but there were not any on the shelves so we asked an associate for help and were told they would get someone from that dept. to come help us. Ten minutes later we asked another associate and were told the same thing. After waiting another ten minutes and no one ever coming to wait on us we left. Went to another store this morning and they got our $250 Christmas Tree purchase. Pretty much same thing happened last Dec. when we re- carpeted 3 large rooms in our house. Had the carpet and padding picked out at Lowe's and kept calling to get a time set up for measurements and were told we would be called back. After about a week of this we purchased our carpet somewhere else. Guess Lowe's doesn't need the several thousand dollars of my business that they have lost! read more
